Ancient Egypt & Druidry - by Akkadia Ford
With this surprising revelation, the 12th Century Irish treatise on language Auraicept na n-eces, 'The Scholars' Primer' begins and in so doing, shifts the gaze to the seemingly remote land of Egypt as the place of origin of the Gaelic language and peoples. As language has ever been central to the arts and teachings of Druidry, Egypt comes into focus as being intimately connected to Druideacht, the Art of Druidry. Were this the only reference to ancient Egypt in old Irish texts, it may be easier to dismiss as a symbolic rather than literal place of origin. However as will be explored in this paper, the numerous and historically identifiable references to Egypt within the famous text of origins, Lebor Gabala Eirenn, 'The Book of the Taking of Ireland', offers intriguing links between Druidry and Egypt that deserve to be seriously explored and reconsidered by contemporary Druids.

Whilst Lebor Gabala is a compilation of texts "which professes to narrate the history of the successive colonists" (2) of the green isle which came to be known as Ireland, readings of the account in Part 1 of the wanderings and ultimate arrival upon the island Eire of the ancestral peoples, inevitably lead to the conclusion that this version of the History of the Gaedil was recorded by later scribes as an adaption based upon the Old Testament account of the wanderings of the Children of Israel to provide a 'credible' historical framework for the Christian Irish.

An alternate view of the 'wanderings' in Part 1 of Lebor Gabala may be that it is a representation of a parallel, or consecutive history, with paraprasings from the Old Testament account to lend a recognisable, or 'acceptable' face to the story to readers versed in the Old Testament. However, the account of the origins and successive 'wanderings' of the people of Gaedil, takes a surprising departure from the Israelite account in that it specifically identifies a number of historical figures and places at variance with the Hebrew account and that may be clearly dated and identified from the discipline of Egyptology.

Due to this the account in Part 1 needs to be reconsidered in terms of its value as an historical document, rather than simply dismissed off-hand as an allegorical story of origins.

Origins of the Gaels In Egypt

"The Scoti are named from Scota, daughter of Pharoa King of Egypt, who was wife of Nelius/ it is the aforesaid Nel son of Fenius Farsaid whom Pharoa Cincris King of Egypt invited for the greatness of his skill, his knowledge and his learning/ : They are called Feni from Fenius Farsaid. The Scots are the same as the Picts." (3)

The legends of the origin of the Irish race as descendents of an Egyptian Princess called 'Scota' extends across the sea to Scotland. In Ireland Scota is honoured - and her burial mound remembered - as the physical ancestress of the peoples of the land.

In order to consider whether this account may be utilised as an historical document, the actual time, place and identity of 'Scota' must be uncovered. Fortunately, within Lebor Gabala there are recorded two distinct accounts of this Princess to use in conjunction with external sources in Egyptian history.

Identity of Pharoah in Lebor Gabala

"Pharoa Nechtinebus was King of Egypt at that time, as the learned sang the quatrain : Now Pharoa had a daughter named Scota and Mil asked for that maiden and Pharoa gave her to him : and that Scota bore two sons to him Amorgen Glungel and Eber their names." (4)

There are two distinct and parallel accounts of Scota within Lebor Gabala. In the first account, Scota is named as being daughter of a Pharoah called Cincris, who gives her in marriage to a man named Nelius, or simply Nel. (5) Of use in dating this Pharoah, Nel is later identified as being present at the time of the Israelite departure across the Red Sea, at which time it is recorded that Pharoah Cincris drowned. (6)

Despite a close examination of King lists from all periods of ancient Egyptian history, I have not been able to locate any record of a Pharoah called 'Cincris', whilst taking into account that this also may be a corrrupted spelling of the name given to an actual (though unidentifiable) Egyptian King by foreign races.

Many ancient Egyptian names and places have become completely differently sounding words due to their transliteration and translation into other ancient and modern languages.

However, of immense significance as a means of dating and identification, is that Nel is present at the time of the Israelite departure from Egypt.

This reveals that there may be proof that the ancestors of the Irish race existed within Egypt at the same time as the Hebrew race. Not only would this account for the similarity of the narratives of seeking a 'promised land' recorded in Lebor Gabala, this would also provide some very significant links between the seemingly divergent philosophies of the ancient races.

The departure, or 'exodus' of the Israelites from Egypt has been dated by Egyptologists to have most likely taken place during the reign of either Ramesses II (c.1279 -1212 B.C.) or his son Merenptah (c.1213-1203 B.C.).

This dating is based upon the references in the Old Testament to the place called 'Ramses', identified to be the palace of 'pi-ramesse' (modern Qantir), the famous palace of the Ramesside family in the Delta region of Egypt. Further dating criteria centres upon the presence of a 'Mese' (Moses) within the retinue of Ramesses II. Note that 'mes' simply means 'born' in hieroglyphs and was the distinguishing family name of the Ramesside Dynasty.

From this comparative account in history weight is lent to the factual, rather than allegorical, nature of aspects of the Lebor Gabala account - and to the likelihood that an actual Princess 'Scota' may have existed.
....  Within Lebor Gabala emerges two distinct accounts of the origin of
Druidry.

In the one, as discussed above, Druidry is wholly placed within this world, being learnt in Egypt by three sons of Mil Mantan, Caicher and Fulman in the time of Alexander the Great. Significantly, three other sons are accorded the distinction of 'judges' (Brehons) - another aspect of the Druidic role in ancient society.

In the second account, the Arts of Druidry are attributed to an wholly Otherworldy source being bestowed upon earth with the arrival of the Tuatha De Danann - and hence already existing within the landscape before the arrival of the sons of Mil. If Lebor Gabala is read from Part IV to Part I (rather than the other way around), the 'spells of Druids' do indeed already exist in Ireland prior to the arrival of the Sons of Mil.

Who were the Tuatha De Danaan?
    The Tuatha De Danaan were "the people of Anu" ( also (the tribe of Dan who was the fifth of Jacob/Israel's twelve sons) (as also are the Milesians)) and formed the pantheon of the pre-Celtic Irish. They could be roughly compared to the Greek gods of Olympus. They were remembered by the Old Irish for their goodness and great skills, used for the benefit of the people of Ireland.

    The arrival of the Tuatha De Danaan was not only shrouded in mystery, but was so strange to the local people that they had to create a rational explanation as to how they appeared...

    They were recorded as having landed in Northern Ireland from Scotland on a day which was later to be termed Beltaine, better known as May Day - 1st of May. It was stated that, after burning their ships, they surrounded themselves with a mist of draoideacht, which means 'magic' or 'sorcery' and marched inland for three days. By this means they hid themselves from the local inhabitants - the Firbolg - until they reached Sliabh-an-lerainn, the Mountain of Iron in Co. Leitrim, where they were first seen.

    Effectively speaking, the locals tried to explain away the fact that these strange visitors appeared, literally, out of thin air ... and down off the mountain, quoted as having come 'out of nowhere' and 'out of the heavens'. Eachaid Ua Flainn, a poet who died in A.D.985 says "They had no vessels.... No one really knows whether it was over the heavens, or out of the heavens, or out of the earth that they came. Were they demons of the devil... were they men?"

    The Tuatha appeared as tall, fair haired, 'shining-faced' sages with a highly organised small group of highly skilled leaders, artisans and craftmen. They were remembered for teaching the Irish people agricultural skills and animal husbandry.

    It's interesting to note that according to the traditions of the Tuatha de Danaan, they had spent seven years in the north of Scotland before reaching Ireland, at places named Dobhar and Iardahar. Before Scotland, they had spent some years in Lochlonn, which has been equated with Scandinavia. In modern Gaelic, Lochlainn refers to the state of Denmark, and it seems a rather interesting coincidence that the Danes call their country Danmark; the land of the Dan people.

    Apparently the Tuatha De Danaan were welcomed to Scandinavia where they settled in four cities where they taught to the young. Sages, resident in the cities were there to 'teach the sciences and the varied arts'. Prior to their teachings there, they apparently came from a place called Achaia.

    It may be a tenuous link, but a region called Achaiyah, north of Mount Hermon, Syria is sited as being a possible site for Kharsag, the homeland of The Annage the so called 'Shining Ones' - great teacher gods of Sumerian tradition. These were the gods of the Sumerians who began the cradle of Western civilisation in the Mesopotanian Valley.

    The Sumerians ruled the region from at least 4000 B.C. and there is still a certain degree of mystery as to the sudden rise of culture of the indigenous population - which they, themselves, attributed to the influence of their teacher gods.

    It's possible that a small band of these elusive 'teachers' who could have been, themselves the last vestiges of an elder culture in decline, deciding to pass on their skills to the indigenous peoples, working their way through from the Mesopotanian basin through southern Europe, possibly teaching the Greeks in the same manner as the Tuatha De Danaan taught the old Irish... leaving memories of gods... who came from the Mount Olympus.... could they have then moved up northwards, spreading their knowledge via France, Germany, upto Scandinavia - again with their own pantheon of gods - and thence across to Britain and then Ireland?

In his book titled The Household of The Grail, John Matthews brings up the subject of certain of the Rays stating that the Purple Ray is of devotional mysticism.  “You must balance the Rays in your training, and you will find in each tradition the elements which connect it with all the other traditions.�
                      “On the Green Ray – the Celtic nature Ray, you will find the connection with the Purple Ray through Celtic Saints, such as St Bride [Brigid], St Columba [St Germain] and many others.  You will find the link with the Hermetic tradition also, through the Magi Merlin, who is very important, and is the Master of the Celtic Ray in these islands [Great Britain]…you will find the link with the Celtic tradition through Grail legends and the Arthurian cycle, and with the Hermetic tradition through the Mysteries.�
                     “In the Hermetic tradition you will find the link with Christian aspects through the Rose and the Cross and with the Celtic aspect through Merlin again.�

                       Obviously the ‘emerald’ mentioned in Revelation 4, pertains to the Tribe of Dan who established themselves in Ireland and whose tribal gemstone as stipulated in the Bible, was the emerald.

only on for 2 seconds, Blue.  fabulous work you have done, gathered.  only gonna say this for one second--that search for the "HOLY GRAIL" that SEARCH means so much.  when i started out, just playing around, following links, in '96, thereon, playing around with the KT, told about more them, from my friend's friend, at the bar, where i used to go to study from school, on my way home; i ran into stuff.  kept running into it.  found montalk's writings so far back, linked from the C's stuff, and from another place, wherein  a site called Atmanet  mebtioned him.  i'll have to look that up.  it lead me here.  things were so old on the net then.  th browser was "Mosaic."

we had a cool nostradamus book, at the bar, way out in the country, where i live, yet in SO Cal.  it was a roadhouse, just like in medieval europe. it's in the woods, bikers go there.  it's a gathering hole (was--it's torn down now).  we had moved here in '89-90 from a bigger city.  i had borrowed the book.  it said that diana would be dead, or like that in 1997, it had her marrying prince charles as the big deal.  nostradamus says this?  it was a pretty huge coffee table book.  was pictoral.  why in THE HELL would nostradamus be talking of princess diana, and predict she'd marry charles?  so? they did that yrs before, he said they would.  (i'm not necessarily into him)--what was that about?  then it happened.  bloodlines.  clan of the bear,  astronomy.  the constellations.  something in there. and they did it at the PONT de Alba/ POINT ALBA/ALBI.  u can read about that.  that bridge road is the pillars/point of albi.  anybody MURDERED/assassinated at the pillars/point of albi, sits at the right hand of god.  so killing her may not have been such a good idea.  did they know that part?

this book also had greys being "videophoned"--it said "video" = taped if u will, standing at the trunk, or from, or out of, the trunk of a car, it said.  what?  did anybody have cellphones with cameras then, in them?  what?  said it would be seen all over the world in 2008.  ok.  looked at the ppl in the bar, they look like KT, their harleys were outside, they looked like horses tied up at the tavern.  when i met the neighbor, in '89, i said wow dude--i havent seen u since 5th century macedonia--good to see u again, how have u been?  ive missed u.  he's never been the same since. i knew him before.  he believes stuff now.  he's opened up, not as asleep as before.  remembers.

i searched for the holy grail, to find out about "IT"...itself.  i found its us/me.  the search for the holy grail, really is a search alright, real as hell.  it lead me to finding out about ME.  it lead me to NR.  it lead me to YOU.  it lead me to U GUYS.  it lead me to THIS. i saw ppl i knew identified clearer.  it lead me to ascension material.  it tied loose ends, nothing culminates, completely.  there are no conclusions.  there cant be, yet.  it  lead me / us to OURSELVES.  i believe that holy grail search is the finest in the land.  it's truly a metaphor for the search for the SELF, and the role(s) we play, are, the BEingness, of it all.  aliens, conspiracies, memories, pastlives, gnosticism, heresy, religion, mind control, commerce, money, death, life, belief systems, ancient history, mysteries, secrets, evil, good, dark, and light.  HOLY COW, HOLY EVERYTHING.  HOLY BLOOD, HOLY GRAIL is right.  add in biology, genetics, the WIH, weather, the moon, astrology, 2012.   ok, thats enough.  the search and the linking continues, in the NOW.  thats the best part.   we learn, we live, we breathe it in / out this life.  but, the blood knows.

As again you know, the life principle controls the mechanism through the medium of the blood stream, for "the blood is the life," and uses the heart as its central organ; whilst the consciousness principle uses the nervous system as its instrument, with the intricate extensions of the organ of sensitivity, the spinal column. ENA 19. 

There is a thread of energy, which we call the life or spirit aspect, anchored in the heart. It uses the blood stream, as is well known, as its distributing agency and, through the medium of the blood, life-energy carries regenerating power and coordinating energy to all the physical organisms and keeps the body "whole." 

Worlds are ablaze with the inner fires causing the incessant changes around and in us eternally. Our outer eyes may not see these inner fires, but we see and realize the effects. Our very bodies are burning continually and the pranic flames feed upon the elements composing us. As a result of this burning process, ashes collect in the tissues of the body, which if not eliminated bring on old age. The heart and the blood are esoterically related, and symbolically define the pulsating life of the soul which demonstrates upon the physical plane in the outgoing and the withdrawing dual life of discipleship, each phase of which presents its own problems. Once a disciple has mastered the rhythm of his outer and inner life, and has organized his reactions so that he extracts the utmost meaning from them but is not conditioned by them, he then enters upon the relatively simple life of the initiate.

Of all these processes, the circulation of the blood stream is the symbol, and the clue to the establishment of the world order lies hid in this symbology - free circulation of all that is needed to all parts of the great framework of humanity. The blood is the life, and free interchange, free sharing, free circulation of all that is required for right human living will characterize the world to be. Today these conditions do not exist, the body of humanity is diseased and its internal life disrupted. Instead of free circulation between all parts of the life aspect, there has been separation, blocked channels, congestion and stagnation. It has needed the terrific crisis of the present to arouse humanity to its diseased condition, to the extent of the evil which is now discovered to be so great, and the diseases of the "blood of humanity" (symbolically understood) so severe that only the most drastic measures - pain, agony, despair and terror - can suffice to establish a cure. 

If we are to reach farther back than the combination of the spermatozoon of the male and the ovum of the female for the beginnings of physical life, we must turn our minds to the great ocean of life which, from its material aspect, is the serum–the watery substance of the blood, "the waters of crystallization," the universal binding force–that vehicle of the creative fire which draws together and binds all living beings into one great Universal Entity. Every drop of serum contains in essence the ideal form, the outline of every created or creatable thing in manifestation. As every grain of matter, whatever its nature, contains this serum or water, the spermatozoon and ovum have within themselves the outline of the form of the creature to be evolved by their combination. 

This will work out literally and not simply metaphorically, for when the life currents are directed by the soul upon the throne, through the nerves and the blood channels, then only the purest atoms will be built into the body and the result will be a shining forth of light through the entire man. 

Man will learn that he shares it (blood) with all that exists, and that therefore a true "blood Brotherhood" is everywhere to be found.  Age upon age, life after life, must yield its quota of substance for that human body, substance which has been refined by fire from the streams of blood which have passed through all the long line of bodies. Every thought, every aspiration, leaves an impress upon the nucleoli of the cells of the physical body. In fact, we may consciously create our own human bodies.

i was fascinated by the idea of templar brothels mentioned.  so they say, it is a very big possibility they did practice such, as its said "to relieve themselves."   all that sex magic can get one quite riled up.  i tried to find stuff on that, but it dead-ended.  i did post awhile back, that they had to sleep with a nitelight on, as to always be on guard for approaches from the 'rear'.  i will say that the stimulation of certain biological hormones mentioned is accurate.  another point in here is that some ppl do function better at night, secondary to the amounts of melatonin that are found leveled in the blood.  i used to live big at nite, but have changed that.  it wasnt always this way.  i still do like the dark though, better than the day.  i think we've talked of that.  some ppl just  feel and operate better at NIGHT, always have.  when others went to bed, i got up and lived in the night for many years.    altho i love the sun, its often a pain the ass.  hurts the eyes, at times.  too many sheeple out and about in the day.  difft kinds of ppl are out at night.  difft stuff occurs at night. is that in the blood?  think so...

Hahnemann says: "Acts most beneficial when patient suffers form chronic loose stool or diarrhoea."

Aggravation. - Evening, before midnight ( Puls. , Rhus ); lying on left or painful side; during a thunderstorm; weather changes, either hot or cold.

Cold air relieves the head and face symptoms but aggravates those of chest, throat and neck.

Amelioration. - In the dark; lying on right side; from being rubbed or mesmerized; from cold food, cold water, until it gets warm.

In homeopathy, people with a phosphorus constitution are generally regarded as the most sensitive and psychic people - the light bringers (lightworkers?).

That line that I underlined sounds like a description of the Celts/Tuatha Da Danaan.

Sanguine indicates the personality of an individual with the temperament of blood, the season of spring (wet and hot), and the element of air.

WOW.  that's quite a dissertation.  i think u have got it.  that is extremely thought-provoking.  and holds a ton of meaning, and application for it.  thank YOU Pellucidar.  i never knew that on the homeopathy angle.  wonderful food for more thought and workability concerning the base minerals we all have operating along.  on their own.  magnificence is everywhere.  particularly in the body.  and how it relates.  sanquine. VERY VERY appropo.

It's what is known as a homeopathic remedy picture.

All of the information in that piece relates to a person whose constitutional homeopathic remedy is phosphorus.

Put simply it means that person has a vibratory makeup that is the same as the element phosphorus.

As one of our most important polycrest remedies, Phosphorous must be clearly understood in a variety of stages of pathology. It is interesting that none of our past homeopathic masters recognized the true center of this remedy until Vithoulkas. The essence as described by Vithoulkas is "diffusion" - like the bubbles from a carbonated drink. It is often seen that Phosphorous patients are bubbly and out-going or extroverted. The patient seems to "sparkle" with intelligence, creativity, and enthusiasm. However the patient seems to have no strong boundaries between himself and others; he is not grounded or centered. He is extremely sympathetic and can become involved with even strangers. Once he turns his attention to another project he may forget all about this stranger he befriended, thus he may appear "flighty". He loves company. He can be gullible and suggestible. He may even be clairvoyant.
There are prices to be paid for these poor boundaries. In the first stages of pathology in Phosphorous, we find great anxiety. Any idea may enter his mind and be a cause for anxiety. However, he is also easily reassured. Generally the anxiety takes the form of concern about health. But as the pathology worsens the patient has more and more "free-floating anxiety" and the fear that something bad will happen. The patient has many fears, especially of things which are symbolic of his lack of boundaries such as darkness, deep water, death, etc. These fears may develop into a debilitating phobic state. Especially, these fears come when the patient is alone, and are better in company.
In later stages the patient is so sensitive to others and to outside stimulation that the well-known desire for company is lost. The patient prefers to be alone and is intolerant of strangers or of hearing of other's problems. As more and more of the inner vitality is lost, so also is lost the "bubbly" and sparkling nature. Eventually the patient becomes slow and indifferent and apathetic, much like Phosphoric acid or Sepia.

The Phosphorous child is sensitive, precocious and open. He can make contact with anyone, child or adult. The parents say that they fear the child could be kidnapped because of this open, trusting nature. The child is both curious and sympathetic for others. There are often strong fears and great desire for company. The child often has great anxiety that something bad will happen to his parents and becomes very concerned about the least illness in the family. Often the Phosphorous child experiences fast growth and suffers from this growth with fatigue and poor resistance to illness. A large percentage of Phosphorous children suffer with epistaxis, bleeding gums or bruising.
