Topic: On Un-answered E-mails, the Ego, Virtuality and other stuff

Refusing to answer e-mail is akin to turning your back on someone when they are attempting to speak to you directly, and unless you feel you are somehow being attacked by the sender, is a mistake that is rooted in fear. Its one thing to let someone know you are not interested in speaking with them, but quite another affair to deny that the communication ever happened.
While e-mail is not he most reliable means of communication, its possible to know when one's message has gotten thru and also that its being denied a response. Its an energy game.
The fact that it takes place over the net makes the ego feel like it has gotten away with something, but I assure you this is not the case. Its just another instance of the ego concocting a lie to refuse to deal with its own negative reflection. As seen from one angle, its a blatant refusal to deal with one's issues. The mass lie and all of its memetic engineering will keep attempting to put the egos troubles within the control of all external sources.
On some level we empowered and agreed to what has gone out of control.
People EMPOWER negative Archetypes.
People who are doing sincere spiritual work on themselves will see the shadow of the ego rear itself in their mindspace and face it squarely and honestly whenever they are able. The goal is to prevent it from expressing in the physical plane.

We live in a time when all the lies are being shone for people that are willing to see.
Watch the money flow. Look at the lies. Many are going deeper into the lie and many are coming out of it. In spite of the difficulty of the times I see VERY positive signs out there.

The Toltecs have given us the wise observation that many of mankinds problems rise out of the lies he uses. Without Agreements, there is NO dimensionalized Space-Time. Regardless of our perceived role in the whole, we can take back our power in the present. Its a journey of allowing the spirit back into our hearts and also of refusing what amount to bad ideas into our consciousness.
We can lie to ourselves about personal responsibility or we can grow up and become our potential.  We're on this Earth now and we had better do well to start making a difference, whenever and wherever we can.
Psychic energy flows over the net, sometimes in rivers. Its a reflection on one level of the collective an dof the current electrical cycle that is manifest in physical reality.
Too much information is unhealthy, also we cannot go back and why would we want to?
Our task is to ground the best possible of ouselves into our current Earth Plane situation and to see that other ways are possible and desirable.
All aspects of the system that are rooted in falsehood are going to self-destruct.
This I am sure of.
Why?
Because the human spirit in its core wants Truth, Beauty, and Harmony.
This is what is.
The Fact is, we can alter this reality, but it takes new agreements and I can tell you they have to be kept simple. Complexity is a trap, but so is a lack of agreement.
Refusing to try a heart connection with people who have attempted to reach out in kind is a mistake. The separating influence will always make itself know first in thoughts, and its one way the matrix keeps people from uniting. It takes GUTS to get united with others in cooperative creativity because the EGO does not like it one whit.
Energy follows thought and all thought is creative. The ego trys to invert this and its what keeps everyone locked into the subconscious.
Feeling will never lie, but emotions are often confused for feelings.
The next world is a feeling and its now.

The next time you feel someone reach out to you in earnest, deal with them honestly and directly. If you are not interested or have issues, say so. Say what you mean, mean what you say...be impeccable with your word because words are POWERFUL.
This is one of the Four Agreements and its priceless wisdom to live by.

This seems to be a recurring issue with you.

RE: in this thread:  http://forum.noblerealms.org/viewtopic. … 86&p=2

Post #20 you said pretty much the identical same thing.

How about when people don't answer heartfelt and sincere e-mails which were sent without ulterior motives? Of course this is not reason to take anything personally.

I offered up some feedback on the issue in that particular thread, saying:

lyra wrote:

I don't know Star Cat...it's probably best to ask that person directly. Send them another email, ask them if they received your email.

I know that I once received a "testing the waters" email by a NR reader who had read one of my bits on my website, and wanted to see if I was open to answering some questions and having a discussion, and I thought that was a great approach.  Instead of just sending off a long email and dropping stuff on me she tested the waters first, which was nice, and considerate.  Not everybody does that.  Point being, sometimes people just don't respond well to "unsolicited emails", for lack of a better way to put it, even if they were sincere and well intentioned and "without ulterior motives."   I don't know the situation between you and the person you emailed - maybe you caught that person off guard?  Maybe they were like, Wow, I don't even know you, what's all this??  There's always the possibility that they didn't even get the email too.  Sometimes emails get lost in the shuffle, or automatically dropped into people's Bulk Spam folders for no logical reason.  I've had several people from NR accidentally wind up in my bulk spam folder...and these were people I'd emailed with before with no issues.  All of a sudden Yahoo decided to label them as spam and tossed 'em in the bulk folder!   So good thing I had this "funny feeling" to double check the bulk spam folder before I automatically emptied the contents.

Anyway, some ideas to think about...

I don't know, seemed like good advise to me.  hmm   What else is there to say on this topic really?  Either they're ignoring you - so move on, or they didn't get it, so, send it again.

Recently I had this happen yet again....with several people in fact, clustered in one particular time period.   Two unanswered emails to one particular guy who I'm actually off-forum buddies with and who's even stayed in our apartment! and another unanswered email to a woman from NR whom I've always emailed with before with no trouble.  Oh yeah, and there's a third woman who's sort of dropped out of the picture for the last year, only popping up here and there in my life.  Have had several unanswered emails with her as well.

As far as the first guy is concerned, it turned out that he honestly just didn't receive the emails.  With the second woman I assume it's the same thing, being that she also hadn't answered somebody else's email from NR, which was completely unlike her.   And as far as the third woman goes, well....she's been flitting around the world, dropping Aya with Stuie and having adventures in Canada.   Who knows what's going on with her, but I can't take it personally!

So if somebody is purposely ignoring you then it's not worth your energy anymore.  Let them go and move on.  It obviously isn't meant to be.   Or again, maybe there's just email interference going on.

PS

I believe today marks the beginning of the New Moon Period.  New moons are always about becoming disgruntled and disaffected.  I'd highly recommend perusing the thread that's devoted to Montalk's research into the moon cycles and how they govern our lives.   It's no fun being a puppet on a string and responding/reacting like clockwork during a moon period.  hmm

Re: On Un-answered E-mails, the Ego, Virtuality and other stuff

FWIW, I've been dealing with a company on an issue for several weeks, and from 2 different email accounts, they claim most of my emails have not been received. Then I picked up a phone and called them and what was taking weeks got handled in a few minutes...

Re: On Un-answered E-mails, the Ego, Virtuality and other stuff

Also, a good portion of emails between "spiritual seeker" types is regularly hijacked and misdirected.  Period. It's almost laughable, really.  About 10% of my mail, both outgoing and incoming, gets "disappeared." And this is with business mail as well as personal mail, from about five different hosting companies/servers, spread across multiple email accounts.

One friend of mine and I have been playing "dance around the hijacking" for several weeks now.  I'll get one of his emails, and in it, he is replying to an email I sent earlier, only he never received an email I'd sent to him since then. So then we go through this ridiculous game of cc'ing each other with excerpts from what we HAVE received of each others' emails and try to have a "conversation."  Ludicrous. He's a big player in the underground orgonite movement -- the orgone folks who are making truly love-based, extremely powerful orgonite - so he has a lot of folks "watching" him.

Also, I think it's perfectly legitimate for some people to choose not to answer emails. I regularly receive stalking/threatening/nasty ass emails from people. Because I like to have nice days instead of poopy ones, I generally use my psychic radar to try to root out the icky ones from the nice ones when they first appear in my "in" box.  And I avoid icky ones.  Do some nice ones get lost along the way? Perhaps. But like Lyra says, it's always nice when people are respectful of your time and don't automatically assume that they deserve access to you, sending out a polite brief email first rather than dumping their whole life story/latest problem on a complete stranger (which is what people do with me.  I try to make time to help people and offer info, but lately, I'm seriously thinking of turning email screening over to my college student friend Matt. I think it's time I make him my official assistant editor to help sort through my mail so I can use my personal energies/time better.)

So many people surprise me by putting something rude or overly aggressive in a subject line and honestly expecting a response from me.  This is a little like encountering a complete stranger in a room full of 100 people and going up to them and shouting at them that you hate them, think they're a jerk, etc.  Only the two of you have never been introduced.  smile Completely bizarre and inappropriate way of communicating, if you ask me!

The Internet can create a lot of dysfunction around communication, and it can bring out the worst in people, but it can also be a really wonderful tool.

I think it's important to realize the technical issues that are happening for a majority of people where emails are NOT being reliably received/delivered. Over at one internet marketing forum I frequent where experienced website owners with long-term mailing lists and business reputations hang out, we're all talking about how larger and larger amounts of our email is getting "disappeared." And it's not just because spam blockers are set to too high of a setting. Certain service providers like hotmail, for instance, are notorious for completely dematerializing mail.

I have several business clients (newspapers I write for) who sometimes just don't receive my email, or me theirs.  So we all have this complex system whereby we cc: about three other people so that all important mail goes through.

Oh, another thought on this-- sometimes it's also good trust the synchronicity of the universe.  If your intention is to have wonderful communications flow with people who boost your energies rather than dampen them, and for some reason you're not meant to get in touch with someone because communication is being blocked, maybe that's a good thing and not necessarily a bad thing. How do you know that the person you're trying to reach isn't in a crappy mood, overwhelmed with work or life, and not in the best frame of mind to have a nice, clear round of contact?

I like living on shaman time - the definition of shamanic time being: "Things get done exactly when they need to, at the optimal moment for the highest good of all parties, and not a moment before."  This is "spiritual" time, the way we used to keep time.  The more I move my life into that and get away from a Western mindset with a completely linear schedule, the better my life seems to flow.  And that goes with everything -- phone contact, getting in touch with friends and family, encounters with fellow seekers, etc. As I make the shift to living on holographic time, things flow more smoothly.

That said, I do hope this situation can get resolved for you, Starcat, because it does seem to be a recurring theme, and I don't know how any of us here on the forum can help you.  If you're specifically speaking about one of us on the forum, is there anything wrong with posting a gentle call out of "I've been sending you emails, please respond when you can" in a separate thread?  That might resolve your situation if it's somebody here.

Anyway, these are my two -- possibly four - cents for the day!

Tell me about it....while I haven't received the negative emails to the extent you described (save for when my Harry Potter article was posted on Fark.com!  Who knew the feathers that would be ruffled by mentioning that my lord, there seems to be mind control/Illuminati Brotherhood symbolism in the Potter books!  wink  )  I have on the other hand received some "eh" questionable emails...which I didn't respond to.   So yeah, I've definitely ignored some emails as well, for good reason.  There was one 40-something woman who emailed me months back who agreed with my "Working for the Puppet People" article, and proceeded to mad dog me as I term it, kind of venting all her hostile frustration about the work situation in this country.   Tossing around derogatory words, sounding all snotty superior, like she knows everything and everybody else is so stupid, as well as having this weird, one sided mental argument with me or something, like making some particular point then writing, "You think I'm kidding?  Well..."   I think she's kidding?  uh....hello, I haven't even said anything back to her, let alone disagree.  big_smile   She's talking AT me in an email.  "Hi!  I'm a weirdo!"   I actually envision what she looked like just based on her words, because I've worked with and/or known that type of woman - 40-ish to middle aged, slightly overweight, really aggressive personality, chip on their shoulder, bitter.  So yeah, steered clear of that one.  Then there are the crazies.  Some outwardly and wacky, some well meaning so I do feel sorry for them, but yet  they're still "off."

That reminds me of something Henry Makow wrote.  It was in regards to the long winded negative hate mails he gets, and he was marveling at the fact that these people actually believe that he's going to sit and read through their entire long winded email once he realizes that it's hate mail.  Of course he's not going to finish reading it....but they believe that because they took the time to write it, then he's going to read it.  He HAS to read it, is their reasoning....simply because they wrote it!

Re: On Un-answered E-mails, the Ego, Virtuality and other stuff

Starcat I hear you, it can be really frustrating to not get a response to an email or other type of personal message.  I try to always reply to people, unless I get too busy, and sometimes it probably just slips my mind, but I will at least try to let people know that I'm not ignoring them.  It's just common courtesy, and hey, it's not that difficult to just write a few lines and click send.  People used to have to travel for miles just to get to the nearest post office so I think it would be really lazy of me to act like I can't reply to a sincere email.

I was in a situation once with someone, the owner of a message board where I posted regularly, who suddenly stopped replying to my emails.  I had known this person about 3 years and considered him a good friend so it was really confusing to suddenly be ignored and not know why.  He could have given me a polite explanation if he just wanted to stop talking...but instead he went on to belittle me on his message board, privately told the other members not to communicate with me anymore, and topped it all off by banning me.  It hurt me very deeply and took me a long time to get over it.  I was far from the only person he treated that way, but I didn't find out about it until much later.

The last email I ever got from him was to tell me one more time how wrong I was, how I had "attacked" him, and that he would never email me again...well by that time, I just had to laugh at his presumption that I might even want him to continue emailing me.  It was really a blessing when he had first started ignoring me.

I generally don't get random emails from people I don't know, because I don't give out my email address randomly, I only share it with people I really want to hear from.  So if they take the time to write to me, I try to reply in kind.  I expect others to do the same but if they don't get back to me right away it's no big deal.  Allowing an ebb and flow in communication is one thing.  Abrupt changes or manipulations in the energy flow are just something else.  It can be a sign of interference, some third party not wanting you to talk with this person.  People who really care about you will keep trying to get through even when the connection is "off" due to external manipulation.

Re: On Un-answered E-mails, the Ego, Virtuality and other stuff

I just started a thread in the 'suggestions' section here. I think there might be confusion when it comes to the actual message. If you read that thread, it'll make more sense.

But Lipstick is right about disappearing emails. I have only one real friend who is awake in my life (versus internet buddies who I've never met), and we never get each others emails. Never....Talk about really weird. They just seems to vanish before they reach our in-boxes. But of course, I still get 100 spam messages a day--no problem receiving them!

Well, I hope you can get things straightened out...
