Topic: David Icke on UK TV

David Icke has just appeared in an hour long documentary (26/12/06 23.00-0.00) called David Icke - Was He Right? on mainstream UK terrestrial TV Channel 5. During the program he touched on many subjects including the Illuminati, manipulation by reptilian aliens and the multidimentional nature of mankind. There was gladly not a hint of disbelief or mockery...in fact the whole program proved that many of the predictions he had made in the last 10 years had come to pass and focused on how more and more people worldwide are waking up to the Truth.
I am heartily gladdened that this program was aired on a mainstream UK channel on a bank holiday when many more people would watch it than normal and see this as a real sign of progress...maybe TPTB are starting to loose their media grip...:)

Re: David Icke on UK TV

Hey that's pretty good, maybe it'll show up on Google Video or YouTube. For something like this to show on prime time television is a big deal...although it may not all be necessarily toward good ends. I realized that David Icke's efforts may unintentionally support rather than undermine the negative agenda. Most of his work focuses on the human Cabal running the planet and how they themselves are under the control of negative reptilians. But he rarely discusses the gray aliens and the abduction phenomenon, an odd omission considering how much he expounds on the reptilians and their evil deeds. That in itself seems excusable until you start reading some of the alien disinformation literature and decipher what the general thrust of the alien deception might be.

It makes sense in context of what Courtney Brown, author of Cosmic Voyage and Cosmic Explorers, wrote: that the grays are at war with the reptilians, that the reptilians are a small negative renegade factions who have been working with shadow factions of the military and deceiving the human elite into selling out the rest of humanity. He said that if we want to save our future, we require the assistance of the grays to kick the reptilians off this planet, and then welcome their guidance and technology to help us undo the damage caused by our selfish and reckless elite. The grays will gladly teach us their higher spiritual understanding, show us how to achieve their zen-like state of consciousness where All is perceived as One. That sounds like Problem Reaction Solution to me. The alien deceivers are very much into advocating love and unity, by the way, although it's a false type that lacks awareness and lucidity.

The picture Icke paints fits very well into this, as though despite his good intentions he has been outflanked by the conspirators. But being that much of his work came after the alien disinfo campaign had already swung into high gear (it picked up pace in the late 80s, and can be traced back to the mid 70s via Sitchin and Valle among others) maybe it's not outflanking so much as manipulation from the beginning.

But on the bright side, since the best disinfo mixes lots of truth with just enough lies to fulfill an agenda, anyone whose mind has been opened by these conspiracy exposés needs only a little more awareness to disarm the spin and thereby prevent falling for the biggest lies of all.

Re: David Icke on UK TV

Hi Montalk, I fully agree that David Icke almost certainly has been fed disinformation and is passing this on with the best of intentions. He is undoubtably the most high profile seeker of Truth that we have in the UK, and the mere fact that he was allowed a platform to air his views has to be a mark of progress. I didn't get the feeling whilst watching the documentary that there was a hidden agenda...a fair part of the program focused on David Icke on a personal level, allowing him to explain his story and showing him with his family and there were no particularly detailed explainations of his theories.
Hopefully, at the very least, it has allowed him to clear his name and explain himself to those that would mock, and more importantly, it may have lit a spark of interest in the souls of some viewers who will now embark on their own journey to find the Truth. As you rightly say, they will probably come to their own conclusions once they have studied further material and will be able to weed out the disinfo.

Yes, he definitely deserves some requital for all those years of humiliation. And I absolutely agree with you on it sparking new interest --  there are many who got their awakening through David Icke's books, even if they have since developed their own unique interpretations of what's going on. I guess that's the thing... the very anti-establishment nature of his books encourages independent thought in the long run rather than pure dogmatism.  I think that's the mark of someone who is largely sincere and thoughtful. Other sources that intentionally manipulate, or allow themselves to propagate slick deceptions, tend to hit human psychological weakness so specifically and strongly that greater percentages of readers succumb and become irrationally dogmatic. That seems to be  the difference between mere misinformation and outright disinformation.

There is a risk in that, since it takes time to contemplate information and develop your own unique view founded on discernment, if the public can be exposed to incomplete or skewed fringe information rapidly enough, they might not have enough time or willpower to digest it all before being required to act.  For instance, if next month the world governments announced the existence of aliens, and then all the controlled media outlets started pushing only those popular fringe authors who themselves are giving out disinformation, and people are given only a year or two before having to choose how to proceed with galactic diplomacy, they would simply be too stunned and rushed to think clearly, therefore they will make some badly manipulated decisions.

Re: David Icke on UK TV

I just watched this and felt it was wonderful.  Of course, I've read Icke's books, and had eventually gone away from some of those concepts, but he presents things really lucidly in this special.  One thing that grabbed me was excerpts from his book "Truth Vibrations" that clearly outlined events that have actually happened.  I had never read this, and to see passages that so obviously came true stunned me.

One thing that made me laugh-- they show his house in the special.  At first, I thought it must be some city building or something, but then they led the way inside!  He's stated before that he lives in a somewhat modest house.  If he wants to see "modest," I'll be happy to invite him over to my home!  smile  I don't begrudge it, though.  He's worked hard for a lot of years, and  he's been a portal for many an awakening mind.

Oops!  I guess I should have mentioned that little detail in my post.  smile  I forgot it wasn't in the original post.

Re: David Icke on UK TV

I don't know if I am the only one - but does anyone else get a bit of an "off" vibe from Icke?

This morning I watched the documentary linked in this thread, and my thoughts where hey it’s good this is getting into mainstream now.  And general perception toward cover-ups, the Government etc does seem to be changing...there is a larger acceptance of these things.

The video was good in that regards - it also showed David as being a normal type of guy, rather than a nutbag.

But, on a number of occasions I just got a bad vibe from him.  I got the impression that there is just something "off" about the whole thing.  Most notably I felt this towards the end with Icke’s interactions with his son, which to me seemed pretty strained (or perhaps the kid was just camera shy).  Sure, I think part of it is that Icke was trying to make a show of things - it's a good opportunity for him to show the world a more accurate view of himself.  But looking at his face, and into his eyes just feels almost like something is missing.

Perhaps it is due to all the ridicule he has received in life; or maybe he just isn't very well.  I can't put my finger on it.

Anyway - just wondering if anyone else noticed anything…

Re: David Icke on UK TV

I thought the video was interesting, kind of gave a him a "Im a normal kind of chap" with a family kind of thing.
Marcus, the thing I felt is "off" about him is what I see goes on with a lot of people that become public "celebrities".  They get a arrogance about them because of all the idolatry that comes with the territory. The "ego stroking", so to speak.
Icke does say that he just puts the info out there and you can either believe him or not. The only problem I see with that is , what if the info is wrong, and folks are focusing so much on his particular info or disinfo ( whichever way you choose to look at it) that he puts out, that they dont see whats REALLY sneaking up behind them. Does he really think he's outsmarted the TPTB?
I think Montalk made some very valid points in his post.

Re: David Icke on UK TV

One thing that gives him that "off" look is the rheumatoid arthritis.  I think it's caused his jaws to have that Ted Kennedy look.  But another interesting note:  I once heard someone (maybe here?) postulate that Icke himself was a reptilian.  Icke had apparently just smiled oddly when some fellow had asked him about it after a show.

For myself, when Icke mentions reptilians (I loved the bit where they showed the Komodo Dragon moving its head back and forth just like Bush), I mentally replace it with "Archons."  I feel that's much more accurate than the shape-shifting reptilian concept.  I DO feel they're overshadowed by something, though.

Re: David Icke on UK TV

About the "off" vibe that Marcus mentioned,
I think it may largely have to do with his 15-17 years of delving into conspiracies, combined with the ridicule... this has given him somewhat of a stern, cold or at least not as 'positive' a look in his face, as he might have had otherwise. "Knowing" about the worlds leaders being reptilians may have been too much of a strain on him at times.

I like Icke in certain ways, but I also agree there's some faults to be found with him. But some (several) of his books, like for example The Biggest Secret, does have large tracts of important and good information, and not least he seemed to have a gift in portraying esoteric/fringe topics in a way that makes it understandable for a lot more people than the "mumbo-jumbo" of a lot of other spiritual/occult/esoteric information. I do agree with the suspicion that he passes on certain bits of information that has been "fed" him without him realizing it, and so on. His information, as with it all, should be utilized with discernment.
The thing is, he's reaching a lot of people, and it seems, more and more people, with his views, and he's fast becoming the most well-known presenter of these topics, including the "larger reality," and I wonder if it might be best to forgive him his faults - because I see that the thoughts he's spreading are ultimately benefiting humanity anyway (at least the majority of his thoughts). And if his popularity keeps on rising, the voice he claims to have heard, telling him he would be remembered and talked about a hundred years from now, might even be right.

When it comes to the potential disinfo, and him spreading it, I wonder if maybe we should give (most) people more credit than that; if they just learn about the larger reality, the truth of spiritual matters *in this reality,* and that they should always think for themselves (all of which Icke advocates), maybe they'll be able to discern Icke's material as well. I don't know - but I have to give David credit, he was a vital part of my "awakening" as well, even if I now see that his material should be looked into with some caution. I actually started out being very sceptical initially, largely agreeing with those labeling him as a loonie, then I almost did a 180 and agreed with mostly everything, and now I'm back to a somewhat more sceptical stance. I cannot ignore the initial benifit I had from some of his material though - it really confirmed ideas or thoughts or even "feelings" I've had since I was a kid, and all in all benefited me a great deal.

That's my feeling as well.  There might be quite a bit wrong with Icke the man, and part of the information he is putting out, but the important point is to look at things from a cosmic perspective.   When trying to form an objective judgement of any other person, I always ask myself this crucial question:  What is the overall effect that this person's life has had on the universe?   Is it positive or negative?

In Icke's case, I think it's pretty clear his effect on the world has been overwhelmingly positive, causing tens or hundreds of thousands of people around the planet to start questioning their worldviews and their assumptions about reality itself.   All the other worldly considerations are really not of any importance in the big picture.  Just like a soldier in the army, he's been given a job to do and he's doing it.   In his case, the job is to help wake people up.   And since that's a rather broad job description, perhaps a certain amount of wrong information is allowed to creep into his work without jeopardizing the overall mission -- as long as it's kept within certain predefined parameters.  In fact, it serves the higher purpose of forcing people to apply their critical thinking skills and discernment even with regard to the teacher's own material -- a lesson which is often incorporated into this sort of teaching.    When he's off-duty, he does his human things and has his human flaws, and maybe privately he's even a real jerk.      But as long as the overall "mission objectives" are met, everything else is secondary.
