Topic: The Natural Life

I often wonder what life would be like  if we all could live on this planet in it's natural state. I strongly believe that the earth-our current home has provided us our every need such as food, the fruit, vegetables, roots and plants as well as the nut and grain. We are given shelter by cave and other cavities, the tools in which build shelter such as wood, stone, leaves ect. The ancient creators of earth even provided plants with the properties to cure any sickness we might have. Although I don't fully understand the purpose of animals being that there are a variety of them from the tiniest to the giants, from the totally dumbest and fearful, like chickens to the almost intelligently human like monkeys. I believe that mankind in it's original state of mind would treat the animals as their children or little friends instead of driving them to extinction.

I would love to know exactly when did natural life/nature became so unexceptable to the point where it is being literally exploited and destroyed. How would our lives be like once more if we spent our days in awe of the many interesting, beautiful intruging and dangerous creations, how adventurous, and real it would be to share this with our loved ones, especially our children in this natural environment.

What has happened to our home where we are no longer free and have to live in stress, agony, and pain to pay for things that were naturally provided to us in the first place. (I remember someone once called this progress.) This is proof that the creator and or creators knew we had to eat. Fire for light and warmth (how romantic) They knew we needed the things they provided therefore who has the right to keep them from us. I think part of the reason for our suffering is our igorance, severed connections with nature and our living in an environment that is very unatural, like taking animals and putting them in cages. I am referring to those of us who are in fact human.

Let me ask everyone this question? What if everyone decided that it was ok to become homeless?
I know this sounds crazy but think of the impact that it would make if that were to happen.

I hope my post don't seem too dreamy but there was once a time when man did live this way and then all of a sudden it wasn't good enough. Or greed knocked on the door and decided to horde all for themselves. Let not forget that nature itself has provided us our greatest education, for example the observance of the way ants collect food to store for the winter
I believe theres a time for everything and one day maybe humanity will wake up and learn to appreciate true life again.

Re: The Natural Life

Well, here's my take on it....and I realize that I'm answering this in general to the forum, not necessarily you per se, since in two previous threads you started you never returned to post, despite getting three pages of responses in one of them.  !  (the "Question About Cats" thread)  But nevertheless, here's my response:

...and perhaps the animals are looking at you and wondering the same thing.  wink  What's the purpose of any of us when you think about it, whether a lady bug, dolphin, cardinal, human, squirrel, turtle, zebra, etc?

For the answer to that, simply look back at history.  Trace back when things changed, and what propelled those changes.  It's too much for my post, but the answers lie in history.   You just have to look back and study it.  A big clue lies in the 1800s.  With the advent of the railroad, steam ships replacing sailing vessels, and the Industrial age...when humans figured out how to get machines to make things so we wouldn't have to anymore.  What chain of events spawned from these things?

What happened once electricity was developed?  What happened once the car was invented?  What happened once Man learned how to fly?

That's just the tip of the tip of the iceberg.  There's so much more.  But it all boils down to technology.   Get rid of technology, and the rest comes crumbling down, and it's back to the basics.  It's as simple as that.  Technology has its benefits, but it came with a hefty pricetag, for humans and the entire planet.

And that leads to the fact that the technology that developed in the timeline we're all occupying was the "wrong" technology.   Instead of free energy we have a petroleum based lifestyle.  Gas, oil, coal and tar, fueling our vehicles, airplanes, and being the chemical base in many products we all use....and destroying the environment and ourselves in the process.

And that is in itself a whole topic.  Why was the wrong technology promoted instead of the free and clean technology?

Well, that seems to have been purposeful manipulation.  wink  When you read historical stories about the various big wigs in the days of yore who had a say in making decisions and shaping the direction that society was going, they always seemed to have the same traits in common:

- Pushing the worst and most unhealthful things imaginable, whether it be with food/diet, a particular product/industrial invention, or a way of doing things;
- Going out of their way to squelch or flat out destroy the good guys around them who have a product that would be a better, cleaner, more healthful way of doing things;
- Being stubborn and bullheaded in their single minded persuit of pushing the unhealthy product/way of doing things, to the point of lacking reason and rationale, and showing no conern, emotion or remourse for the dire consequences that will result;
- and always within a position of power to be able to do this.  wink

So what does that tell us?   There's a battle between the manipulated bad guys - most likely OP-soulless types with occult ties that drive them up the ladder of power in life, strategically placing them at the top and giving them that posiiton of authority - and the good guys who aren't possessed and lack the occult connections that give them positions of influence.

Things really picked up speed in the 1800s, and once the 20th century hit it exploded.  But it was like humans became a prisoner of their own technological developments and the lifestyle it spawned.

I think what you're proposing is the typical false two choice dichotemy.  Either be a materialistic consumer with the stressful aggro modern lifestyle, or forfeit it all and become a homeless bum.  There may be a third choice compromise in there that might be even more effective.

But definitely, a majority of the population going homeless and refusing to play the game anymore might throw a wrench in their works.  The only problem though is trying to convince the population not to play the game anymore.  wink   Too many people are wrapped up in it, fully invested in it.  This game of life is serious business, doncha know?!?!    wink   "I have my big house, my nice wardrobe, my three cars in the garage, my 60" flat screen television and top of the line entertainment system!   My kids have to go to good colleges!"  Mortgage, tuition, car lease payments, credit card bills.....too many people are in too deep, believe they *can't* walk away. A hampster in a wheel.

Movies that feature people throwing it all away are quite popular for that reason.  Deep down a lot of people wish they could do this, but are too afraid.   So they live vicariously through the movies showing them fictional characters who do this.

Re: The Natural Life

I think it began with development of the Ego, when we started to think in terms of "I" and "Mine"; my children, my wife, my food "I" hunted for etc. We lost the connection to a community lifestyle, with people working together for the commen good. I actually just watched a Terrence McKenna 2-part video "Seeking the Stone" on Google video, that explains our fall from natural lifestyles.

I have pretty much walked away from the "system", the moment they incarcerated me and took away my license, and booked me into the system for life. I don't have anything to gain by jumping through hoops (on fire!) to get these credentials and "legal status" back. Doesn't mean I will never drive again, though wink Which I actually have, although I was following my friend after getting his car smogged big_smile

My brother and I dream of living on property out in the Seirra Mountains, perhaps one day we will...

Re: The Natural Life

I think you very much Lyra for your response and for the previous ones as well about the cats. I haven't posted a reply because to tell you the truth I have been experiencing a lot of strange experiences, synchros and other weird things since I started learning a lot of the knowlege on this site and therefore gave it a break. I very much admire your insight Lyra and have read many of your posts as I have many questions and feel that I'm at a point in my life where I am not seeing things as I once have and it is a rude awakening, I now feel as if everything I once thought was neccesary was nothing more than a lie. I am totally fed up, stressed out and want more than anything to let go and be free. I have been taught as I'm sure a score of others have been taught to go to school, get a good job, buy a nice house, get married, have kids and teach them to do the same. Although there are those that ARE happy with this I see nothing more than a tragic trap for many others such as like you said a hamster wheel, the car note, credit card bills, morgage, ect and these bills keeps getting higher and higher and driving you to need more money thereore driving you to make more effort unfortunately some of us are not even happy with our jobs. I really don't want to complain too much as I could go on and on but I've had enough. I don't feel that this modern society and it's stresses (As it is now) are natural for humans and even though we may be living in luxury or abundance the medical field is booming and hospitals are filled with sick people. We're beginng to kill ourselves and each other to meet the demands and conformity of this greedy system and I wonder how long will it be before we decide that we've ALL had enough.

I'm not familiar with the quote feature yet but I don't like the modern stress lifestyle nor do I want to be a bum on the street. I just wonder how is it possible and where is that middle road that meets in between?

For those of us who aren't the soulless automatons Lyra describes we trap ourselves because of love. We want our spouse/kids/family to have the "good things" in life, so we run faster and faster on that hamster wheel. In the developed counties I blame advertising; you can be happy and comfortable without lusting after the latest car/gadget/house/whatever. In most of the world, though, it's the terrible inequality of resources between the rich and poor that keeps those who want material comfort for their loved ones working and scheming and clawing for any advantage they can get.

We're all butterflies flapping our wings and changing the world.
