Topic: Non-linear experiences
Lately I have been experience a lot of what I can only term as non-linear events; basically things occurring in an order they are not “supposed to". I realised after some thought that non-linearity actually explains for a lot of things which we have no normal explanation. I also realised that I have noticed these sorts of things many times throughout my life, and was never even aware of what was going on.
This is by no means a new topic, and there are many related subjects posted on these forums. It is also a part of how people like Goro Adachi see what they see.
I got the urge to create a list to try and sort the subject out in my mind a bit, as the experience and realisation of all this is still fairly new to me. Whilst I have been aware of non-linear time / events for quite a while, I hadn’t realised that I had actually been experiencing it. And I have a feeling that most people will be experiencing this sort on thing of a fairly regular basis, it just goes right over our heads unless we are aware enough of what is happening.
This is by no means an exhaustive list, so it will be great if people can add more stuff to it. Also it would be neat if people could relate some of their experiences in this (although that can be difficult due to the nature of the subject).
I would like to look into this a lot more so adding any further information to this subject, including links, books, articles would be really helpful.
Indications of non-linear events:
“¢ Reality is non-linear
“¢ Events are not always “cause and effect", but the effect can precede the cause.
“¢ There are ways of perceiving non-linear reality, but it requires interpreting our physical senses through a clear state of awareness. Where an individual acting from an unconscious mind will perceive a strange event, or “coincidence" , an awakened mind that is aware of its own sensations and consciousness will feel and perceive the indications of something interconnected. For the moment, as I have no other term, I will call these “Focal Points".
“¢ Focal points can enter our perception of awareness; these moments or events are linked or will give clues to events yet to take place, or even give indications that something has occurred that our normal physical senses have not picked up on.
“¢ Focal points can occur in a non-linear order. Instead of the traditional worldview, i.e. a followed by b followed by c, Focal Points can occur as v, followed by r, followed by a, followed by z.
“¢ There are many types of Focal Points, a few of them are as follows:
. o Premonitions of the future
. o A current Point invoking instant realisation of a past Focal Point.
. o Insertions from individual Higher Awareness
. o Insertions from other entities
. o Momentarily perceiving the underlying structure of reality.
“¢ These are some of the many indications of Focal Points:
. o The sensation of being lifted out of the moment, as your attention is focused onto something you would not normally notice; often something non-physical such as a feeling, thought, or memory.
. o The sensation of the world falling away as you are rooted entirely into the moment; your awareness totally focused on some seemingly insignificant physical event.
. o A thought arriving in your mind without any prompting or external stimuli. This can also be attributed to any number of other factors, so extreme caution and awareness is required.
. o Witnessing or experiencing something significant, that doesn’t appear to have an immediate cause.
. o Perceiving a link between seemingly unrelated circumstances.
“¢ Non-linear experiences are notoriously difficult to explain to anyone else. This is largely due to the fact that language doesn’t really accommodate for relating such experiences and concepts. In addition difficulty arises from the fact that we have been conditioned to a linear way of life.
