The Pictures Accuse: The Catholic Church and Nazism in Germany and Croatia

Introduction
Did the Catholic Church help German Nazism?

"Antagonism to the Jews of today must not be extended to the books of Pre-Christian Judaism."

-- Cardinal Michael von Faulhaber in the Advent sermons,  delivered in 1933. According to the Vatican statement, "We Remember: Reflections on the Holocaust," the Advent sermons "clearly expressed rejection of the Nazi anti-Semitic propaganda." For more on Faulhaber, see below.

The Vatican claims Nazism was the antithesis of the Catholic Church:

At the level of theological reflection we cannot ignore the fact that not a few in the Nazi Party not only showed aversion to the idea of divine Providence at work in human affairs, but gave proof of a definite hatred directed at God himself. Logically, such an attitude also led to a rejection of Christianity and a desire to see the Church destroyed or at least subjected to the interests of the Nazi state.

It was this extreme ideology which became the basis of the measures taken first to drive the Jews from their homes and then to exterminate them. The Shoah was the work of a thoroughly modern neo-pagan regime. Its anti-semitism had its roots outside of Christianity and, in pursuing its aims, it did not hesitate to oppose the Church and persecute her members also.

If you read the text of  "We Remember: Reflections on the Holocaust," you will see that the Vatican refuses to acknowledge that the Church ever officially aided Nazism; it names only Church officials who allegedly opposed the Nazis. (Regarding this, I have posted the argument, made in "We Remember," that Cardinal Faulhaber stood up to Nazi antisemitism, plus two excerpts from Faulhaber's actual remarks.) 

Indeed, "We remember" quotes Pope John Paul II saying that the Church not only opposed Nazism and repudiated Nazi racial doctrines, but that it had always rejected the views held by some Christians that Jews were to blame for supposedly killing Jesus:

"In the Christian world--I do not say on the part of the Church as such--erroneous and unjust interpretations of the New Testament regarding the Jewish people and their alleged culpability have circulated for too long, engendering feelings of hostility towards this people."

Pope John Paul II and "We Remember" are widely praised for supposedly facing up to errors made during the Holocaust.

I ask: if the Church never aided, and indeed opposed, the Nazis, and never even accepted religion-based antisemitism, to what errors did the Vatican face up?

Here's how Joseph Ratzinger explains it. Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, wrote the following when he was a top advisor to John Paul II:

"'Even if the most recent, loathsome experience of the Shoah (Holocaust) was perpetrated in the name of an anti-Christian ideology, which tried to strike the Christian faith at its Abrahamic roots in the people of Israel, it cannot be denied that a certain insufficient resistance to this atrocity on the part of Christians can be explained by an inherited anti-Judaism present in the hearts of not a few Christians.'" So Joseph Ratzinger claims that: a) Nazism was "anti-Christian"; b) Christianity erred only by "insufficient resistance" to Nazism, not by complicity or active support; c) even this error resulted from individual Christian's religious hostilities to Judaism - "an inherited anti-Judaism present in the hearts of not a few Christians" - rather than widespread and virulent antisemitism and the policies of religious organizations, such as the centralized Catholic Church.

But the evidence shows that:

A) The Catholic Church hierarchy - especially Eugenio Pacelli, before and after he became Pope Pius XII - aided the Nazis. Indeed, Pacelli and the Church played a central role in making Hitler the dictator of Germany.

B) The Catholic Church was active in Nazi movements outside Germany, especially in the Baltic region and in the Balkans, where the Church helped run the Nazi puppet State of Croatia. After the war, the Vatican sheltered Croatian Nazi war criminals.

C) Although at Yad Vashem, Pope John Paul II described the Nazis as having "a Godless ideology," this is not how the Nazis presented themselves or how the Catholic Church described the Nazis when they were in power.

The German Catholic Church's Centre Party (Zentrum) did clash with the Nazis in the 1920s, but as Hitler wrote (see quote below) their quarrel was over politics, not Catholic religious teachings, let alone belief in god. I can find no record from the period of Nazi rule of the Catholic Church attacking the Nazis as atheists, perhaps because they weren't. The Nazis themselves claimed they were fighting against atheism, specifically Bolshevist atheism, which they charged was a Jewish-created movement.  In attacking the Jews, the Nazis routinely employed Christian symbolism and traditional Christian antisemitic arguments, with which Europeans were familiar. 

On 23 March 1933, the Nazi government put forward the Enabling act, which would allow Hitler to create new laws without parliamentary approval.  This was after the Nazi-staged Reichstag fire; after the banning of the huge Communist party and subsequent arrest of thousands of communists and other anti-Nazis; and amidst a campaign of violent antisemitism. To become law, the Enabling act needed a 2/3 parliamentary vote. Before the vote, Hitler addressed the Reichstag (parliament) saying:
"While the Government is determined to carry through the political and moral purging of our public life, it is creating and insuring prerequisites for a truly religious life. The Government sees in both [Catholic and Protestant] Christian confessions the most important factors for the maintenance of our folkdom. It will respect agreements concluded between them and the States. However, it respects that its work will meet with a similar appreciation. The Government will treat all other denominations with equal objective justice. It can never condone, though, that belonging to a certain denomination or to a certain race might be regarded as a license to commit or tolerate crimes. The Government will devote its care to the sincere living together of Church and State." (My emphasis - Jared Israel)

The Social Democrats fiercely opposed the Enabling act.  Hitler needed a 2/3 majority, so the balance lay with Zentrum, the Catholic Center Party.  Zentrum leader Monsignor Ludwig Kaas, a close friend and advisor to Eugenio Pacelli, the future Pope Pius XII, addressed the Reichstag. Far from attacking the Enabling act, or disputing Hitler's claim that Nazism was based on Christianity, Kaas called for a 'yes' vote. The Zentrum faction did vote 'yes,' and the act became law. According to National Catholic Reporter correspondent John Allen, a liberal Catholic and student of Vatican history (he has written a biography of Joseph Ratzinger):

Kaas acted in co-ordination with the German bishops. Four days later, on March 28, the German bishops rescinded their ban on Nazi party membership. On April 1, Cardinal Adolf Bertram of Breslau addressed German Catholics in a letter, warning them "to reject as a matter of principle all illegal or subversive activities". To most Catholics, it looked as if the church wanted a modus vivendi with Hitler.

The same impression was created a few weeks later when Hitler held a plebiscite to endorse his decision to pull Germany out of the League of Nations, which received the endorsement of the Catholic press and of several Catholic bishops. When Hitler and the Church came to terms for a concordat, it cemented the impression that Hitler was a man the Church "could do business with".

Three and a half months later, on 6 July 1933, the Catholic Church's Center Party, Zentrum, dissolved itself.  Two weeks after that, the Vatican and the Nazi government signed the Concordat, confirming the alliance between the Catholic Church and the Nazi state. Article 16 of the Concordat, published below, required that Catholic bishops swear to honor the Nazi government, to make their subordinates honor it, and to shun acts that would endanger it. (Notice that the Church was not promising to avoid just illegal acts, but any acts that might endanger the Nazi state, even if such acts were not yet outlawed.)

Before bishops take possession of their dioceses they are to take an oath of fealty either to the Reich Representative of the State concerned, or to the President of the Reich, according to the following formula: "Before God and on the Holy Gospels I swear and promise as becomes a bishop, loyalty to the German Reich and to the [regional - EC] State of . . . I swear and promise to honor the legally constituted Government and to cause the clergy of my diocese to honor it. In the performance of my spiritual office and in my solicitude for the welfare and the interests of the German Reich, I will endeavor to avoid all detrimental acts which might endanger it." Notice that the Vatican committed German bishops to "honor the legally constituted Government." The Vatican was publicly asserting that the Enabling act, which could not have passed absent Catholic Church-controlled votes, made the Nazi dictatorship "legally constituted." So first the Catholic hierarchy fights to get the Center party to vote for the Enabling act (because there was an internal fight over this that Monsignor Kaas, who was very close to the Vatican, won) thus giving the dictatorship a pseudo legality and then the Vatican orders the German Church from bishops on down to honor the Nazi Reich because... it was legally constituted!

The Nazis pledged, among other things, to give certain organizational Church decisions the force of criminal law.  For example:
"Article 10

The wearing of clerical dress or of a religious habit on the part of lay folk, or of clerics or religious who have been forbidden to wear them by a final and valid injunction made by the competent ecclesiastical authority and officially communicated to the State authority, is liable to the same penalty on the part of the State as the misuse of military uniform."

Defenders of the Catholic Church, such as the Vatican official, Jesuit Peter Gumpel, argue that:

"As the Vatican authority itself and the most astute Catholics foresaw, Hitler never had any intention of respecting the Concordat, rather, with the exception of the strictly liturgical or para-liturgical functions, the rest of the Church’s activities were systematically hampered and later gradually suppressed."

It is certainly true that the Nazis reneged on parts of the Concordat, especially over issues involving control. And the German Church did sometimes criticize Nazi policies, for example regarding forced sterilization (which contradicts Catholic doctrine) but not, as the Vatican now claims, over Nazi treatment of the Jews. But the secondary fact, that German Catholic-Nazi relations were not always smooth sailing, does not mitigate the horrific truth: by voting to give Hitler dictatorial powers, the Catholic Center Party made it possible for Hitler to set up his dictatorship with a (phony) appearance of legality; by  dissolving the Center party, the German Church eliminated a potential source of resistance and, for many Catholics, took away their only vehicle of political expression; by dropping the ban on Catholics joining the Nazi Party, the Church made Nazism an alternative vehicle for political action; and by signing the Concordat, the Vatican gave Hitler international respectability and told millions of Catholics in Germany and worldwide that the Pope was cooperating with the Nazis.

The German Catholic Church has rescinded its ban on joining the Nazi Party. The Catholic Center party has dissolved itself. In the Reichskonkordat, the Vatican has promised that German Bishops and their subordinates will be obedient to and honor the Nazi state (Article 16). It has promised that German Catholic educators will teach children patriotic love for the Nazi state (Article 21). It has requested and received the Nazi dictatorship's promise to enforce internal Church decisions (Article 10). Cardinal Bertram of Breslau has called on Catholics to avoid all subversive or illegal (by Nazi definition) activities. How should you respond to the Nazi's new nightmare state?  Doesn't the Catholic Church teach you to view Church officials as exemplary? Shouldn't they be emulated? Isn't the Pope's word law, and didn't the Pope sign the Reichskonkordat, an agreement with the Nazi dictatorship, that reads:

"In the performance of my spiritual office and in my solicitude for the welfare and the interests of the German Reich, I will endeavor to avoid all detrimental acts which might endanger it."

Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, wrote:

"...it cannot be denied that a certain insufficient resistance to this atrocity [the Holocaust] on the part of Christians can be explained by an inherited anti-Judaism present in the hearts of not a few Christians."

Sure, there was plenty of "anti-Judaism," not to mention plain  antisemitism. But the Vatican had committed the German Church to honor the Nazi dictatorship and "Avoid all detrimental acts which might endanger it." Is Pope Benedict XVI, formerly the Vatican's Prefect for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and before that a German professor of Theology, perhaps unfamiliar with the Reichskonkordat? Or does Ratzinger think the German Catholic Church should have rebelled against the Vatican?

And what if Fr. Peter Gumpel is correct? What if, as Gumpel argues, "the Vatican authority itself and the most astute Catholics" expected the Nazis to renege on some or all of what they promised in the Concordat? What if, in other words, the German Catholic hierarchy and the Vatican ordered Catholic deputies to vote for the Enabling act and negotiated the Concordat while expecting that Hitler would not deliver promised guarantees to the German Church?  What then was the motive of the Vatican and the German Catholic hierarchy for taking actions which put the Nazis firmly in power, permitted Catholics to join the Nazi party, and gave Hitler a document, signed by the Pope, which committed the German Church to honor the Nazi Reich and shun actions "which might endanger it"?

Catholic Church participation in Nazism was visible to the world starting in 1933, and despite recent Vatican efforts to whitewash the past, a pictorial record survived. These pictures accuse.

"On February 10, 1939, Pius XI died, at the age of 81. [Vatican Secretary of State Eugenio] Pacelli, then 63, was elected Pope by the College of Cardinals in just three ballots, on March 2. He was crowned on March 12, on the eve of Hitler's march into Prague. Between his election and his coronation he held a crucial meeting with the German cardinals. Keen to affirm Hitler publicly, he showed them a letter of good wishes which began, "To the Illustrious Herr Adolf Hitler." Should he, he asked them, style the Führer "Most Illustrious"? He decided that that might be going too far. He told the cardinals that Pius XI had said that keeping a papal nuncio in Berlin "conflicts with our honor." But his predecessor, he said, had been mistaken. He was going to maintain normal diplomatic relations with Hitler. The following month, at Pacelli's express wish, Archbishop Cesare Orsenigo, the Berlin nuncio, hosted a gala reception in honor of Hitler's 50th birthday. A birthday greeting to the Führer from the bishops of Germany would become an annual tradition until the war's end."

Cornwell reports that he was given access to secret Vatican archives with the understanding that he would write a defense of Pius XII but changed his mind after studying the record.

Forced conversion of Serbs to Catholicism

The Nazi-like Croatian Ustashi state, set up immediately after the Nazi German invasion of Yugoslavia, was based on fanatical Catholicism. Orthodox Christian Serbs who refused to convert were butchered in their villages, or at the Jasenovac death camp, or thrown into mountain crevaces. Hitler referred to the Ustashi as "Our Nazis."

The Catholic Center Party's support for the Enabling act, which gave Hitler dictatorial powers; the Center Party's subsequent decision to dissolve itself; and the signing of the Nazi-Vatican Concordat two weeks later - these actions told Catholics it was OK to work with Nazis or even to be a Nazi. This was a big boost for Nazi forces, not only in Germany but worldwide. Case in point: the Croatian Ustashi. When the German Nazis invaded Yugoslavia in 1941, the Ustashi terrorist organization set up the so-called 'Independent State of Croatia.' The Ustashi attempted to wipe out Yugoslavia's Jewish population and made a full-scale attack on the Serbs, who were members of the Serbian Orthodox Church, bitterly opposed by the Catholic hierarchy that was the mainstay of the Ustashi. The Ustashi state went to war against the Serbs:

"Slavko Kvaternik explained [in a radio program on April 10, 1941, the day the 'Independent State of Croatia' was formed] how a pure Croatia should be built - by forcing one third of the Serbs to leave Croatia, one third to convert to Catholicism, and one third to be exterminated. Soon Ustasha bands initiated a bloody orgy of mass murder of Serbs unfortunate enough not to have converted or left Croatia on time.

"The enormity of such criminal behavior shocked even the conscience of German commanders, but Pavelic had Hitler's personal support for such actions which resulted in the loss of the lives of hundreds of thousands of Serbs in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.In addition, the Ustasa regime organized extermination camps, the most notorious one at Jasenovac where Serbs, Jews, Gypsies, and other opponents were massacred in large numbers."

The above-quoted report describes German commanders as being shocked by Croatian Ustashi barbarity. However, the Germans used equally brutal methods to destroy Jewish villages in the Soviet Union after the German Nazi invasion. Perhaps the Germans were shocked because the people being slaughtered were perceived as human, that is, they were not Jews...

The forced conversion of tens of thousands of Serbs to Catholicism by the Ustashi regime proves its fanatically Catholic character; hence the 'Independent State of Croatia' is commonly referred to as a 'Clerical-Fascist' state. Since the Vatican controlled the Catholic hierarchy worldwide, and since the Croatian Catholic hierarchy accepted papal infallibility and organizational direction, how can we explain the Ustashi's Catholic violence except as an expression of the policies of the Church under Pope Pius XII?

The Germans invaded Yugoslavia on April 10, 1941. According to the following report from the Yugoslav Embassy in Washington, Croatian Catholic Archbishop Stepinac helped the Ustashi terrorists create their pro-Nazi state. As in Germany, the stance taken by the Church hierarchy guided lower clergy and lay Catholics:

[On April 10, the day of the Nazi invasion, Croatian Ustashi leader Ante Pavelic was in Italy.] On that very same day Pavelic's [lieutenant], Slavko Kvaternik, leader of the illegal Ustashi movement, proclaimed the Independent State of Croatia and formed the first Ustashi government. [Croatian Catholic] Archbishop Stepinac at once sided with the Ustashi traitors and helped them take over the government. On April 12, 1941, while fighting between the Germans and the Yugoslav Army was still going on in the Bosnian mountains -- while millions of patriotic Yugoslavs were still determined to resist the invaders -- Archbishop Stepinac openly called on Kvaternik and congratulated him on his success.

The day before Easter, Slavko Kvaternik visited Archbishop Stepinac. The official organ of the Archbishopric, Katolicki List, reported that the Archbishop had expressed his highest satisfaction to Kvaternik. The Ustashi newspaper Krvatske Novosti, in its Easter issue, underlined the significance of this interchange of visits and pointed out the cordiality with which the Archbishop of Zagreb had greeted the deputy of Dr. Pavelic. This newspaper drew the conclusion that the foundation was laid for intimate cooperation between the Ustashi movement and the highest representative of the Roman Catholic Church in the Croatian State.

What other conclusion could the lower clergy reach, despite the knowledge that both Kvaternik and Pavelic had been sentenced to death in absentia for their roles in the murder of King Alexander and French Foreign Minister Barthou?

On April 13, 1941, Ante Pavelic reached Zagreb from Italy. On the very next day -- the Royal Yugoslav Army was still fighting -- Archbishop Stepinac paid him a visit, to greet him and voice his congratulations.

Two weeks later, on April 28, 1941, Archbishop Stepinac issued a pastoral letter asking the clergy to respond without hesitation to his call that they take part in the exalted work of defending and improving the Independent State of Croatia. He emphasized his deep conviction that the efforts of the Poglavnik [i.e., the leader of the Croatian Ustashi state, Ante Pavelic - J.I.] would meet with complete understanding and support, basing this confidence on his acquaintance with the men now directing the destiny of the Croatian people. He believed and hoped, his letter said, that in the resurrected Croatian State the Church would be able in complete freedom to preach "the invincible principles of eternal truth and justice." The pastoral letter, which was also published in Nedelja and Katolicki List on April 28, 1941, declared:

"Honorable brethren, there is not one among you who did not recently witness the most significant event in the life of the Croatian people among whom we act as herald of Christ's word. These are events that fulfilled the long-dreamed of and desired ideal of our people.... You should therefore readily answer my call to do elevated work for the safeguarding and the progress of the Independent State of Croatia.... Prove yourselves, honorable brethren, and fulfill now your duty toward the young Independent State of Croatia."

The Ustashi section of the clergy, which had been active in terrorism even before the war, did not need this circular to tell them how to act. But a great part of the Catholic clergy, not earlier involved in the Ustashi movement, accepted the circular as a directive, an order from their most responsible chief; and in accordance with its exhortations placed themselves at the disposal of the Ustashi. Answering the call of the Primate of the church, many priests then engaged actively in supporting the Ustashi regime. [My emphasis - J.I.]

A Cardinal marches with the German Nazis

A religious leader, apparently Cardinal Michael Faulhaber, marches between rows of SA men at a Nazi rally in Munich.

Some claim the religious figure in the photo is papal nuncio Archbishop Cesare Orsenigo, not Cardinal Faulhaber. Regardless, no one denies he is a high ranking representative of the Catholic Church.

In the Vatican's much-praised, "We Remember: Reflections on the Holocaust,"  we read:

"The well-known Advent sermons of Cardinal Faulhaber in 1933, the very year in which National Socialism came to power, at which not just Catholics but also Protestants and Jews were present, clearly expressed rejection of the Nazi anti-Semitic propaganda."

Could it be that the Jesuit scholars who wrote "We Remember" never read Cardinal Faulhaber's 1933 Advent sermons? If so, let me help. I have the full text in front of me. The Cardinal's position was the exact opposite of what the Vatican claims. Faulhaber stated that:

"From the Church's point of view there is no objection whatsoever to racial research and race culture." (page 107)

What Faulhaber did oppose was the demand by some Nazis that Christians reject the 'Old Testament' (the Torah) which would in effect have negated the Catholic doctrine that Christianity is "the true Israel," which requires that it be the inheritor of the Torah. 

Consider this excerpt, reproduced exactly at it appears in the official translation of the Advent sermons:

"By accepting these books, Christianity does not become a Jewish religion.  These books were not composed by Jews; they are inspired by the Holy Ghost, and therefore they are the word of God, they are God's books.  The writers of them were God's pencils, the psalm-singers were harps in the hand of God, the Prophets were announcers of God's revelation. It is for this reason that the scriptures of the Old Testament are worthy of credence and veneration for all time.  Antagonism to the Jews of today must not be extended to the books of Pre-Christian Judaism."  - p.14

So Faulhaber was not saying Christians should reject racist attitudes towards Jews.  He was saying he had no problem with "race culture," but hatred of Jews should not extend to pre-Christian Hebrew religious texts, which were a Christian legacy of heavenly origin.

In 1933, under the leadership of its Cardinal Secretary of State, Eugenio Pacelli (who became Pope Pius XII), the Vatican negotiated a Concordat with Adolf Hitler. Catholic historian James Carroll writes:

"Even an indirect endorsement meant everything to Hitler as he sought to establish his legitimacy at home and abroad.  In these early months of 1933, Catholic leaders went from being Hitler's staunch opponents to his latest allies. This transformation was dramatically symbolized by the fact that in 1932, the Fulda Episcopal Conference, representing the Catholic hierarchy of Germany, banned membership in the Nazi Party and forbade priests from offering communion to anyone wearing the swastika; then, on March 28, 1933, two weeks after Pacelli offered his overture to Hitler, the same Fulda conferees voted to lift the ban on Catholic membership in the Nazi Party. The bishops expressed, as they put it, 'a certain confidence in the new government, subject to reservations concerning some religious and moral lapses.'  Swastika bearers would now be welcomed at the communion rail."

As part of its Concordat with the Nazi regime, the Vatican had the huge Center Party, the Catholic Party, which had previously opposed the Nazis, vote for the so-called 'Enabling Act,' which gave Hitler dictatorial powers, and then dissolve itself. Carroll writes:

"The Reichskonkordat effectively removed the Catholic Church from any continued role of opposition to Hitler.  More than that, as Hitler told his cabinet on July 14, it established a context that would be 'especially significant in the urgent struggle against international Jewry.' The deep well of Catholic antisemitism would be tapped, to run as freely as any stream of hate in Germany.  The positive side of the long-standing ambivalence, which had again and again been the source of impulses to protect Jews, would now be eliminated, allowing the negative side to metastasize."

In the above-quoted excerpt, Mr. Carroll seems to suggest that it was the "long-standing ambivalence" of the Catholic Church as an organization that had been, prior to the Reichskonkordat, "again and again... the source of impulses to protect Jews." There are several problems with this.

First, the existence of a human impulse to decency, whether among Catholics or anyone else, is not proof of official policy. As a youthful participant in the US Civil Rights movement, I saw whites who objected to - and even took brave action to oppose - harsh treatment of black people. Such actions, while heartening, do not disprove the existence of an officially sanctioned system of abuse predicated on a theory (in this case, that blacks were supposedly less human). Similarly, of course many Catholics have been kind towards Jews and even drawn towards Jewish culture and thinking.  But this does not contradict a 2,000 year policy of the Church hierarchy which has a) stigmatized Jews as "killers of Jesus," which belief has fed and justified antisemitism, including the Nazi variety and b) discriminated sharply and/or subtly against Jews (e.g., the ghettos in which Jews were forced to live in the papal states) and c) conducted brutal campaigns against Jews (the inquisition is only one example.)

Second, the seeming ambivalence of the official Church is rooted in a doctrinal contradiction: since Christianity is presented as the fulfillment of Jewish prophecy, the Church hierarchy needs to have some Jews around, but it has not wanted them to prosper, or at least not for long, because ordinary Catholics might see that as evidence that God had not rejected the Jews for failing to accept Jesus as divine. This policy was first enunciated by St. Augustine, who cited Psalm 59: "Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield."

In other words, don't wipe them out, or at least not all of them, because Catholic doctrine presents the Bible (i.e., Jewish scripture) as predicting the coming of Jesus. But scatter them (i.e., don't let them return to Judah, let alone have a state there) and bring them down (make sure they suffer) so that Christians will see what happened to the Jews because they rejected the doctrine that Jesus was divine. And, by all means, provide a steady stream of much-publicized Jewish converts as proof of the benevolence and divinity of Christianity, the acceptance of which constitutes, according to Church doctrine, the salvation of Jews.

Thus the Vatican is perfectly capable of making statements against abuse of the Jews (who are presented as constituting "our Abrahamic roots" which is not necessarily a statement of brotherly affection, but can be one of religious self-justification!) even as it encourages - sometimes in the same statements - abuse of Jews. Hitler had reason to smile. The Nazi German Army would invade Yugoslavia April 10; Pavelic's Ustashi (Clerical-Fascist) forces would immediately set up a dictatorship based on fanatical Catholicism and so-called "racial purity." By April 28th Croatian Archbishop Stepinac would issue a pastoral letter telling Catholics to support this Nazi-like dictatorship.

Croatian Catholic Cardinal Stepinac, front center, was a deputy in the Sabor, the pseudo-legislature of the Nazi-like Croatian Ustashi dictatorship. 

After WWII, Yugoslavia put Cardinal Stepinac on trial. The Catholic Church fiercely defended Stepinac against the charge that he had helped the Ustashi even as the Vatican secretly worked with US military intelligence to help Ustashi war criminals escape from Europe, using a network known as the Ratline.

In 1991 the political heirs to the Ustashi took leadership of the Yugoslav Republic of Croatia and led a secessionist rebellion. They rehabilitated Ustashi leaders and renewed war against the Serbian people. The title of an Emperor's Clothes article accurately describes the Western response: "The Media Suppressed the Truth about the Rebirth of Croatian Fascism."

Just as the Catholic Church hierarchy helped to establish and lead the Ustashi 'Independent State of Croatia' during World War II, so the Church helped neo-Ustashi leaders create a new independent Croatia in the 1990s.When, in June 1991, neo-Ustashi extremists launched the Yugoslav wars of secession by attacking  federal troops in Croatia, the Church hierarchy painted a sympathetic picture of the secessionists. A few days after the Croatians declared war, the Pope sent a letter to the Yugoslav government demanding it not suppress the rebellion. On June 29th, the Pope spoke to pilgrims in St. Peter's Square:

''My thoughts today turn in particular to the dear peoples of Croatia and Slovenia,'' the pope said. ''I feel close to those who are grieving for their dead, to the wounded and to all those who are living in sorrow and fear.

''I repeat once again that one cannot and must not suffocate with force the rights and legitimate aspirations of the peoples,'' the pope said.

''I want in this way to encourage all those initiatives aimed at seeking just solutions, which alone can guarantee peace and fraternal coexistence among the peoples,'' he said.

John Paul called on ''the authorities of all the Yugoslav republics to show a constructive will for dialogue and long-sighted wisdom.''

The pope's appeals, and his repeated reference to ''legitimate rights'' appeared to support a declaration made by Yugoslav Catholic bishops Thursday which strongly defended the right of Slovenia and Croatia to declare their independence.

Vatican radio broadcast the full text of the declaration Saturday, around the same time the pope spoke in St. Peter's square. [My emphasis]

Over the next four years, independent Croatia drove about 600,000 Serbs from their homes, with never a word from the Pope protesting this "suffocat[ion] with force [of ] the rights and legitimate aspirations" of Serbs. About half the Serbs were expelled from Croatia proper and the other half from the neighboring territory of Krajina, claimed by Croatia; the overwhelmingly Serbian population of the Krajina had opposed the break-up of Yugoslavia.

The most explosive and violent act of ethnic cleansing occurred in  August 1995, when the Croatian army, led by US forces, drove a quarter million Serbian residents from the Krajina.

The media talks endlessly about a supposed massacre in Srebrenica, the existence of which is contested, whereas the media very rarely mentions the liquidation of Serbian Krajina, the greatest act of genocide in Europe since World War II.

In August 1995 the Croatian Army's 'Operation Storm' drove 250,000 Serbs from their homes.  Unknown numbers were slaughtered in the onslaught, which included armored and aerial bombardment of cities and towns, and subsequent house to house operations in Serbian villages, during which many more civilians were butchered. Three years after the eradication of the Krajina, the Pope was in Croatia, kissing the soil and beatifying the notorious Cardinal Stepinac. At a time when hundreds of thousands of ethnic Serbs, recently driven from their homes by the Croatian leaders, were living in poverty in refugee camps in Serbia, with no effort at reconciliation - let alone compensation - by Croatia, the Pope blessed the neo-Ustashi leaders with his presence and his words:

"I greet the members of the Government and the other distinguished persons who honour this meeting with their presence." [5]

While beatifying Cardinal Stepinac, the Pope also beautified Croatian war crimes, speaking as if Croatia had not itself launched the wars of secession, and, in Orwellian fashion, praising Croatia for having a  spirit of reconciliation:

"After the violent and brutal war in which it found itself involved, Croatia is finally experiencing a period of peace and freedom. Now all the population's energies are dedicated to the gradual healing of the deep wounds of the conflict, to a genuine reconciliation among all the nation's ethnic, religious and political groups, and to an ever greater democratisation of society." [5]

He had met a genocide, and he called it love.

Pope John Paul II's claim (quoted below) that Nazism was a "Godless" movement is false, as suggested by Hitler's own words (also quoted below) 

Pope John Paul II gave a speech at Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority, in which he claimed the Holocaust was carried out by people with a "Godless ideology":
"How could man have such utter contempt for man? Because he had reached the point of contempt for God. Only a godless ideology could plan and carry out the extermination of a whole people."  [My emphasis - J.I.]

But the German Nazis embraced both the Protestant and Catholic religions. Below is a quote from Hitler's Mein Kampf. Not only does he state that in the Nazi movement, "the most devout Protestant could sit beside the most devout Catholic, without coming into the slightest conflict with his religious convictions," he also states that while the Nazis fought the Center party (the Catholic party in Germany) during the 1920s, they did so for 'racial' and political reasons, not over religion. Later of course, in 1933, based on a decision taken in Rome, the Center Party went over to Hitler's side and then dissolved itself. Hitler states that it was "the highest duty of the top leadership of the National Socialist movement to offer the sharpest opposition to any attempt" to involve the Nazis in fighting "Ultramontanism." The term "Ultramontanism" is defined differently by different factions in the Catholic Church, but all agree that it means (at least) a Catholic Church organizationally/ideologically dominated by the Bishop of Rome, i.e., the Pope, who is viewed as infallible. So Hitler was saying the Nazis should *support* having the Pope dominate the Catholic Church even as he was fighting the Catholic party, the Center Party.

For the rest, the facts speak for themselves. The gentlemen who in 1924 suddenly discovered that the highest mission of the folkish movement was the struggle against 'Ultramontanism' did not break Ultramontanism, but tore apart the folkish movement. I must also lodge protest against any immature mind in the ranks of the folkish movement imagining that he can do what even a Bismarck could not do. It will always be the highest duty of the top leadership of the National Socialist movement to offer the sharpest opposition to any attempt to drive the National Socialist movement into such struggles [against the papacy! - JI], and immediately to remove the propagandists of such an intention from the ranks of the movement. And actually, by autumn, 1923, we succeeded entirely in this. In the ranks of the movement, the most devout Protestant could sit beside the most devout Catholic, without coming into the slightest conflict with his religious convictions. The mighty common struggle which both carried on against the destroyer of Aryan humanity had, on the contrary, taught them mutually to respect and esteem one another. And yet, in these very years, the movement carried on the bitterest fight against the [Catholic] Center [Party], though never on religious, but exclusively on national, racial, and economic-political grounds. The results spoke in our favor, just as today they testify against the know-it-alls. [My emphasis, J.I.]

Contrary to Pope John Paul II's remarks when he spoke at Yad Vashem, the Nazis were not "Godless." This headline from the infamously antisemitic Nazi periodical, Der Stuermer, reads, "Declaration of the Higher Clergy. So spoke Jesus Christ: You hypocrites who do not see the beam in your own eyes." [from Matthew 7:3-5] The cartoon depicts a group of Hitler Youth. The caption reads, "We youth step happily forward facing the sun... With our faith we drive the devil from the land." Greg: All right, we’re back in the first hour of The Investigative Journal and my guest is named Alan Watt and this should be an interesting interview. Alan Watt was born in the UK. Spent years researching the forces behind the terrific changes occurring in the world economically, sociologically and geologically. He knew long before Europe was turned into a united front, a united country 20 years before that. He knew it was going to occur and talked about it and he has been discussing the same patterns happening now in America. His research the powerful foundations and the higher Free Masonic associations which are bringing this about.

Alan is an expert on ancient religions, cultures and people. He’s been on many, many radio shows and many of my listeners have said please get Alan on so that’s what I did today. He also understands how the new age movement was created to bring in the New Age – the New System along with the New World government. You can find Alan’s cutting edge work on cuttingthroughthematrix.com and with that I wanted to say hello to my guest Alan Watt. How are you today Alan?

Alan: Oh I’m fine yes.

Greg: So where do you start with a subject like this especially on a Monday morning when I’m still kind of have a cup of coffee and get over the weekend and start the week out. Where do you start with something like this and someone with such vast research knowledge as you I’m going to leave it up to you and then maybe ask a few questions on top of that. Go ahead.

Alan: Sometimes it’s best to try and forget everything we’ve been taught including the culture or country that you’re raised in and look upon the whole world and the movements that go on simultaneously within every government and you’ll find that the same laws generally are passed in different countries at the same time and it’s not by magic. It’s by cooperation at very high levels beginning with the economic systems of every country because every country is totally dependent on the economic banks and the system which really run the governments and that’s why when Rothschild was asked when he took over the Bank of England he said – he was asked about would he also like to run the legal system. He says, "no give me the money system and I don’t care who makes the laws." The reason being that all laws must follow from the economic system and sure enough all your laws revolve around your economics of your country. So he understood that perfectly well.

Greg: So you say forget about everything that you’ve been taught. Okay start my education all over again.

Alan: Well we’ve all been raised in little pigeon holes and I always say if we’re in a pigeon hole which is your culture and it’s a [pop] thing going back so many hundreds of generations even though it’s different within every 100 years or so. There’s major changes made but we’re born into our own time and so we have a limited with an overall picture of how things came around and we accept the system we’re born into and it’s been quite natural simply because it exists as such and all mammals you’ll find the parents of mammals warn the young offspring of dangers and what is dangerous. Well if you have one generation of parents who’ve been brainwashed into a particular reality they don’t know to tell their children to watch for so the children think that everything is quite natural and just evolved that way into their own era basically.

Greg: I assume you’re going back to our parents working now. Why don’t we discuss that. Has the New World Order brainwashed our parents?

Alan: They plan centuries ahead and this is not a recent thing. It’s widely written about by those involved. They always plan at least 100 years on a lower level for the public to know about if they want to and you’ll find it in the writings of guys like Lenin who was trained by some of the best Swiss bankers on the planet. He wrote about it "The Next Hundred Years," and changes that would take place including the changes of the west when they would become blended with the Soviet system towards the millennium he said in his own writings and those books were put out in the 1920s then when you take the supposedly opposite side of communism which was capitalism in London and the British Elite Lord Bertrand Russell a life long [pier] as were his ancestors he wrote a book to about that at the same time as Lenin with the same agenda saying that the New System for the New World would come about the millennium and the big changes would take place. So these guys were obviously in communicado with each other and then realize there are no sides here. They create opposition to make the changes occur.

You can’t make changes with one side. You’ve got to have an opposition and then you get your synthesis coming through between the two oppositions and sure enough we find that in the history books that capitalism and mainly London and New York finance the whole Russian Revolution and we fed the Russians right through their Soviet system. Canada and the U.S. supplied them with most of their grain and so on. They couldn’t even feed themselves. So it was a phony opposition to create the major changes necessary to change the world and Sovietism is the quickest way to amalgamate many – dozens and dozens of small countries into a one singular type system of economics, politics, bureaucracy and law. It’s the fastest way to do it.

That’s what Vietnam was for to. Vietnam had over 200 warring tribes and the fastest way to unite them you need a common enemy. You bring in America and all those factions suddenly become communist and then they end up being one. That’s what it was all about you see. The fastest way to unify a people into one country with a centralized government for control.

Greg: So anyway you’re taking us back to basically and telling us the Cold War and everything else was a fraud controlling both sides of this war so to speak to reach their goal. Your website is called Cuttingthroughthematrix.com. How do you cut through everything? Give us a grounding of what to do. First how our parents were brainwashed and how we can overcome this ourselves once we realize it?

Alan: When you realize that you’ve got to go back into history into time to realize how this was put about and how it came about and you go into the time when all of this really began in the west at the time of the Norman invasion of Europe and the takeover of the Norman nobility all over Europe and at that time when they’d taken over Europe there were NO REAL BORDERS as such. You had a united system run by these overlords called Normans who gave allegiance to the Vatican and after time they found it was hard to keep control of the people they ruled over and these were foreigners remember who came in and they’re still the aristocracy of Europe today.

Greg: Yes, take us through this knowing that much of our history has been taken from us in this country. Take us through this process.

Alan: Well they came into Europe around the 11th Century and we’re talking about battles that lasted for over 25 years to take over Europe and they also had incredible funding from some source to do so. They had logistics, supplies and all the rest of it. They used some of the islands off England as supply depots. They built pre-fabricated wooden forts. Some which were maybe 100 acres wide and they towed them across the English Channel and erected them on the other side.

This is massive planning and knowledge and funding with a common head it’s obvious to keep it all coordinated on a bigger scale than World War II and then these overlords were implanted all over Europe as the nobility, the aristocracy and with them came the Vatican backing them and of course the money system they all went together. It’s a complete system, an economic system that came with them of rulership and they no sooner taken over England than within the 50 years that was the last one to take over they couldn’t get Scotland but they took over England and then they recruited the people from England and the rest of Europe that they’d taken over and started the Crusades and went back to the Holy Land to take over Israel or Lebanon. So this is a formulated plan put into effect incredible knowledge of warfare and strategies and logical supplies. Totally military campaign that was never seen as I say until World War II.

Greg: You know going into this break we have about a minute then we’ll come back. How did you get involved doing all of this research? I know you have been around a long time researching this and trying to trump it to wake up the American people and what’s really happening. How did it all start for you?

Alan: Watching the effects on parents of my own parents and the parents around me of friends just growing up watching what the arguments were and every home it was arguments about finances and paying rent and very basic stuff but I thought this is an empire supposedly. The end of an empire. Well where did all of the money go? Who got it all and then you find that it was about 200 families in London basically raped the world. Used the peasantry for soldiers and cannon fodder and the rest of the people had nothing at that time.

Greg: And America is involved in this struggle also, correct?

Alan: That’s right. America was setup to take over from Britain and Francis Bacon and John Dee even talked about this in the 1500s that they would pass the torch on to another country.

A feeling that something is going on that isn’t right and you just can’t put your finger on it but you know it’s there and you start grasping for straws. You start grasping at everything looking at who did it. Why’s it happening but let me read something here by my guest Alan Watt and he’s going to lend a little bit of – I’ll tell you what. He’s going to try to give you some solutions to what we can do but anyway he’s grounded well in history and his thoughts and his thinking is clear about what’s happening and I think he’s a good guest for you people to listen to and then call and maybe you have a lot of questions and we can have a really good discussion period. But anyway let me read something that Alan has written and he said:

"We are truly into the Age of Chaos long in the planning and written about openly by the big movers and shakers who lord over us. Some of them such as Brzezinski have described the coming effects on world wide societies as akin to the vast population movements which occurred at the beginning of the industrial revolution. After the unification of Europe was to follow the unification–listen to this Americans. The unification of the Americas with the resulting class of cultures. Sound like something going on right now and the initial mayhem produced. People were sleeping that’s us. We were sleeping while the Free Trade Agreement and the subsequent (NAFTA) North American Free Trade Agreement were discussed with deliberate minimum coverage by that feared group the Council on Foreign Relations and of course this absurd controlled media."

This has been in the planning a long time to and boy I could get off on a discussion about that for hours but I won’t. But that’s what my guest wrote. Alan I know we’re in an age of chaos and we’re going to get back to the historical underpinnings of this. But tell me how do you feel personally about what’s going on and what you are doing? I mean how do you cope with it? What are your plans? Just so people under you.

Alan: Well I think when you realize how old this agenda is and how long it’s been rolling forward here and you’re only born into one little part of it the first thing is not to panic because people when they catch up on something that is happening to their own life they tend to panic and I tell them don’t panic just carefully and quickly make up for lost time and find out the real historical data here as to what’s been going on. Where it’s going to. It’s not over and done yet.

I always them it’s not over until the fat lady sings and you do as an individual have a right to alter things for your own life and I encourage individualism. This whole movement ultimately is to eliminate individualism completely from the works. The mass man they admit to themselves they can handle through psychology. They understand the mass movements and the mass mentality as the occasional individual can stand up and clearly and succinctly say that the king has no clothes and dispel the myth here that pops like a bubble that’s who they fear and they want to destroy individualism. That’s what political correctness is all about where you’re given your opinions and you better parrot them or else. That’s what it’s all about in this new sovietized system.

Greg: And even in the most liberal shows that are mainstream media they don’t cross over the line. They stay within a certain boundary almost as if they were playing a game with the American people and they know what’s been told to them to keep their jobs on the air. They can’t go on the other side where maybe the truth lies which they’re good at.

Alan: Absolutely. This whole system runs on licensing and even journalists are licensed. Everyone is licensed and you are penalized and you have your license withdrawn if you don’t go along or as the Masons say "tow the line," and that’s what happens. They all know that’s the penalty for not towing the line.

Greg: Now go back to I guess what we’re talking about. You’re dealing with this and you say don’t panic.

Alan: Uh-huh.

Greg: All right well put us into perspective now or put it into perspective of where we are at in this plan?

Alan: Right now, you’re about the same stage Britain was at around 1990 where – you see Britain since World War II and it was only released in 1999 after the unification of Europe it was only released to the public the secret documentation that’s now revealed that they signed the agreements at the end of World War II to de-industrialize Britain and start to gradually regulate laws to match up with those of Europe. The economic system was to match up with Europe. The pound was to fall to match it up and you are now at the same stage as that only a few years from unification now.

Okay, back for the second half hour on the Investigative Journal. My guest is Alan Watt. Basically Cuttingthroughthematrix.com like his website says. Alan, an interview like this sometimes is tough because it’s such a broad subject. Lets just boil it down to this. The New World Order plan you’ve discussed the program. One world government. The one world religion. This plan to understand it you have to go back in history and understand how they have done this for a long, long period of time and you said something really important. We’re only born into it for a short period of time and we need to first understand it and then deal with it. Lets get to the point here with who are these people in your estimation with all this research you’ve done over the years. Who’s the enemy and what can we do to maybe solve the problem?

Alan: Well the enemy is like most things. It’s sort of multi-layered. We have the operative ones on the ordinary common ground side which are loosely called Freemasonry and that’s through everything. That’s through all churches including the Catholic church as well all working towards this agenda of oneness.

We’re all to become one for the New Age and then above them you have the noble orders that allow people into them like Paul McCartney for doing his drug thing in the music business and promoting Eastern mysticism. That was to take off from theosophy and blend it with Christianity for the New Age and he did a good job so he was knighted and then you have the higher noble orders above them that the aristocratic bloodline noble orders of Europe and most of them can be traced back to Venice when Venice in the Middle Ages was the banking capital for the world the fact the Venetians’ supplied all the shipping for the Crusades for taking all the knight across back and forth during the centuries of the Crusades and then they moved into Europe.

A lot of them BOUGHT their Royal TITLES so they weren’t necessarily of European nobility. They bought the titles beginning in Germany and Prussia and so the ones in power today at the top of the tree can all trace their history at least back to Venice and Venice is an interesting name because it’s a play on Venus and people in the ancient times who were the big bankers and merchants who ran the ancient world were the Phoenicians – [Phoenic] is a play on Venice. It’s the same thing and it’s no coincidence and of course the Phoenix rises from the ashes and is born anew so this is the same bunch down through time for maybe 3,000 odd years at least. I don’t doubt much, much older who understand culture creation and culture takeover and all the strategies involved with economics et cetera. I have no doubt about that at all.

Greg: Okay move us a little bit into present day. How do our leaders fit into this?

Alan: Well you do know that your leaders are really not your leaders. They’re just the front men. The real work and this was discussed by H.G. Wells who was a FRONT MAN and he admitted it for the British government. A propagandist. He admitted it. When they signed the League of Nations LON is lion. It’s another term for lion and when they signed the League of Nations he said really governments are now defunct because every government who signed on had to send one representative who represents the country and by parties or the political officials. Today bureaucracies who are not elected by the public and they’re interbred by – most bureaucrats in all federal governments are simply intermarried with themselves for the last few hundred years. They know their agenda in those bureaucratic agencies and they have their formats. They work there all their life and they go straight to the United Nations for most of their rules and regulations and implementation on a global level. So politics is almost really irrelevant to an extent. Their just front men to sign in local laws. That’s really what their function is.

Greg: That goes all the way up into the White House according to you?

Alan: Absolutely yes.

Greg: Okay. How does the Zionist movement – how does the Vatican influence? How does it all fit together with the banksters this whole world order network throughout the world? And through your research how does it all work?

Alan: Well I saw there was so many similarities between them all and when you realize how long they’ve all been going and the fact is you could not keep anything secret and you could help from being infiltrated which tells you they are one in the same thing. They’re all factions of opposition which are necessary to create the changes. That’s really what their job is. As I say you can’t--

Greg: Specifically get into how it’s playing out right now in your mind? Start maybe with World War II and work your way through.

Alan: World War II Carroll Quigley, Professor Carroll Quigley he said that wars are primarily designed to create social change within all warring parties because governments take over all areas of industry, agriculture and increase their bureaucracy on a massive level and that’s quite correct. That’s what World War II was for. Winston Churchill’s own personal secretary during the war years has now released a book and it’s called "Fringes of Power" and in there he has the private conversations with Churchill and his own peer group, his own aristocracy and he said – Churchill said this is the best thing that ever happened because we’ll get a united Europe out of this. So it wouldn’t have mattered if Hitler won or Churchill won because they were both after the same goal a united Europe and that’s how this game is played.

Greg: And at that point they were there to of course – involved in communism correct and in Russia?

Alan: Yes and I’ve got the books from the meetings of the members meetings of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Royal Institute of International Affairs which is the main British branch from the 1930s and in the 1938 one held in Melbourne, Australia they said right in there we must save the Soviet Union at all costs in the upcoming war with Germany. So this was a must be type thing. They had to save the Soviet System. They had a bigger job for the Soviet Union after the war played out.

Greg: As we saw creating this enemy against the United States. Now we’ve talked about this on this show before but would you agree with that that enemy of course the Soviet Union was an enemy that they created in order to move this agenda.

Alan: Yes as I say it’s the fastest way to amalgamate dozens and dozens and dozens of small countries and cultures and languages with government systems customs et cetera into a common system for merger. It’s the fastest way to do it.

Greg: Now you said something and we’ll get back to this thing and bring us up to date. But you said something that was really interesting. You said to defeat this global takeover now perhaps is not going to happen to a unification of the people. It could be just something just so unexpected that the planners of this hadn’t expected and that is done through basically your life long goal of trying to out these people. Trying to do something they didn’t expect and sometimes that can have an effect correct?

Alan: There’s no doubt you can have an effect. In fact sometimes you’ll say something on the odd comment even on the radio show and it’s picked up by so many shows across the globe and that comment starts people thinking off in a different direction. So things snowball and it’s not a matter of being long winded or bringing the fantastic into it. It’s sticking to the basic facts and saying it simply and that’s how people will get the message. You keep it simple.

Greg: And I guess what I’m getting at is I want to go to a question here that somebody asked you once and you provided a great answer for it. It’s a question I’d like to ask you again and I’ll paraphrase this from the person who asked you. He said:

Do you have any advice for me in approaching my Christian friends and relatives some who have a basic understanding of the New World Order but still think God is ultimately in control and Jesus will return to save us all from this mess and they will be raptured before it gets too bad?

Alan: Generally, I tell people that the chances of a person waking up are probably 1 in 5,000 and so the chances of two people in the same family waking up are very remote and I tell them try and use all your energy on people who are trying to wake up. Who have taken the first step and are asking questions and this is the real meaning. See this is an ancient system and that’s the real meaning in the New Testament where it says, "let the dead bury their dead." What it was meant by most generations people are never really alive. They’re never conscious really of what’s running their system and so you can’t expend all your energy in trying to save those that you naturally love first. It’s better to look for someone who’s trying to get up from the ground from being dead and then you can fill them in with the information that you know. That’s the best and I tell them around your relatives and friends don’t cause dissention. Try and live inside your head as best you can with the knowledge you have and keep it there. Don’t cause conflict. It doesn’t do any good.

Greg: Yes and you’re correct because this kind of information for example when you come forward with this is that it’s shocking to many people and it’s hard to accept. You can’t expect the person to accept it overnight if they’re blind to what’s happening before them. Now you are basing your stuff on a historical perspective. You’ve been talking about this for years and years and years. What position are we in right now as far as a population understanding what’s really happening to us or is most of our population still in the dark?

Alan: Most are still in the dark. They truly believe – you see Brzezinski in one of his books, "Between Two Ages" talks about the upcoming system which is here now and he said the public are being trained into a certain way of looking at the world by the media and he said in fact they’ve given over their ability to reason for themselves to the media. They believe that the media is there to inform them of everything they should know and so they’ve stopped reasoning or thinking for themselves.

So for the average person it’s impossible that that media and those familiar faces you see every night on television could be possibly lying to you. If it’s on TV it must be true and if you’re telling them something that’s not on television well you must be crazy and he talked about this system of psychological techniques in his own book. They KNEW they WERE creating a PUBLIC that WOULD NOT THINK or REASON for THEMSELVES.

In other words they’ve been well managed. Most people now are socialized in a socialized system that Lenin talked about. They’re now well managed and most of the accept that they’re being managed by some superior types of intellects and it’s all correct.

Greg: Lets talk about this massive mind control and these people who understand it so well. They’ve been working it taking over our media for a long time. They just recently reached a point where they felt they could get away with lets just say murder at the WORLD TRADE CENTER which they have. That shows you how deeply affected this country is by this propaganda. Lets talk about it in real terms. How have they turned people like us into automatons into people who think they’re free when in fact we’re probably less free than the same as people living in communist Russia when we were talking about that as being so evil.

Alan: The Soviet System was a perfect test bed. That’s what it also was a big laboratory that was going to be used with techniques they would use on the rest of the world and if you go back to Lord Bertrand Russell in his book called "The Impact of Science on Society," and remember he was a big player for the Tavistock Institute which is a department really of psychological warfare and he also was a high member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs. He said that the public are being trained into a system where they are being well managed and we shall present them with experts for every topic on radio and television et cetera until they get to a stage where a woman wouldn’t know how to change the diapers on a child – her own child without being shown and that’s already happened. So the creation of a world with experts for everything, expert opinions and of course if you’re not the supposed qualified expert from something then no one is going to listen to you.

Greg: Yes and is that a bunch of garbage. I’ll tell you what. I was a journalist for a long time and I’ve said this and I have no qualms about saying it now over 30 years I’ve been saying the same thing. I learned most of everything that I hold dear from people that are just normal people. Experts bore the hell out of me most the time. I mean some of them say good things but they just don’t reflect what’s really going on. People need to think on their own. I mean it doesn’t take an expert to tell you what happened at the World Trade Center.

Alan: That’s right. That is correct.

Greg: I mean just look at it folks. They killed 3,000 people--

Alan: And they wrote about it before it happened. Brzezinski said, the project for a New American Century this little private club with Chaney and Wolfowitz and Pearl and all the rest of them they printed that two editions in the ‘90s that they wanted to takeover Afghanistan first, then Iraq then Iran then Syria and then Brzezinski wrote it a member of the same group in his book, The Grand Chessboard" the same agenda. Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria and then he said we’ll need something to happen in America on the same scale as a Pearl Harbor attack to motivate the people with the public opinion behind us and low and behold they get the very thing they need. This is impossible. It’s like basing everything on winning the lotto.

Greg: Yes and they’re getting away with it because they’ve got the media controlled and all these people get up and they just follow along the premise that the terrorists brought down the World Trade Center. That’s when they started the news broadcast so I mean it’s amazing to me.

Alan: We just don’t have that kind of luck. All that planning hinging on one event that’s such a long shot. It’s like getting hit with a meteorite and it happens.

Greg: You know one thing interests me today. We’ve got a minute before the break. Maybe give me a quick answer on this. I’ve been dealing with it most the morning. You know Iran’s been put up to this nuclear battle. Now the leader of Iran came up and said he wants to work out a deal now with Bush or something. How are they playing that? I didn’t expect that to happen but I know they still want to have a nuclear war there. Now the Iranian leaders are throwing an olive branch out I guess. Did you hear about that and if so how does it play? What do you think they’re doing now?

Alan: Well I’m sure the guy who is the leader there has been one of their boys from the beginning. Every time he opened his mouth he said everything that Bush wanted him to say. The Iranian people I’m sure were quaking each time his mouth opened because he wasn’t speaking for them and this is a play to eventually amalgamate them into the system. It’s to get it up to a fever pitch of tension and then come out with the solution and they all breath a sigh of relief and they’ve lost everything.

Greg: So you think he’s now throwing out this olive branch out which is fake--

Alan: It’s all pre-planned. It’s pre-planned. You would never get a leader of a country trying to commit suicide the way this guy has.

Greg: Right. Okay we’ll be back in three minutes with Alan Watt on the Investigative Journal. Okay we’re back on the Investigative Journal our last segment in this hour and this interview is too good. We’re going to keep Alan on over for another hour and take questions and just delve into some things regarding this propaganda machine that’s controlling our minds in this country. Controlling the world order’s movement to basically unify the Americas. Take freedom away from America as we’ve know it.

You know what’s interesting is on this show I try not to give people false illusions of how we can defeat these guys. I’ve always felt in my heart that they have all the power. They have all the control at this point. They have all the things lined up over hundreds of years of planning and we just drop into this world just for a few short years. How can we expect to overcome them? Many people jump over to the other side but I think what you said in all the writings I’ve read about you one of the things that’s really stuck with me is this real thing that you say you can disrupt them with something they didn’t consider. They never thought of. They think they’re the ultimate planners but something so weird so strange you can’t even put your finger on it. Can’t delay it and maybe even change it and with that I want to follow-up on that. What do you mean by that? I mean I think of it something like to just say something for a minute.

For example the other day I wrote an article and I was kind of joking but I was really kind of messing with them and I was playing this Italian card game called Scopa and it’s a game that’s played over there and I was making a fake game saying I had three dummy hands. If I win this game they don’t win and take over America. If they do then we’re lost. Well anyway in my article I actually did play the game and I won. So you know what? In my heart I felt better whether that has any effect or not but when you’re talking about something so unrealistic something they didn’t plan about what do you mean by that?

Alan: They really don’t expect people – we’re so controlled and conditioned. You see we are domesticated. That’s the key. They talk about us as though we’re animals and to them we have been thoroughly domesticated and the symptom of domestication is when you ignore things around you and you’re self-preservation facilities they don’t work. Their faculties don’t work anymore. That’s total domestication and that’s success to them when they thoroughly domesticate us and we don’t see the signals around us the danger signals.

There are always some people in every generation who squeak through and are aware and can put it across very simply when they can get a voice anywhere and the worst that they see never fade away. They stick in people’s minds and they start to almost reprogram them again into thinking and surviving for themselves. That’s their primary enemy right now.

IT’S FREE THOUGHT and the WILL to PUT OUT the FREE THOUGHT that ignites something within the individual because groups and movements are generally controlled by them or started off by them and if not started off then they’re infiltrated and taken over so quickly by them and so IT’S THE INDIVIDUALS who will END UP BRINGING this DOWN. NOT THE GROUPS.

Greg: I want to get into that a little bit more. We’re going to take a break. Be back and a short break by the way two minutes. Back to the Investigative Journal with Alan Watt. Okay, now we’re getting down to it on the Investigative Journal in the second hour. Alan Watt. We’re going to open him up a little bit more and I tell you what. He said in a very few short words really the key to this whole thing it isn’t movements, organizations isn’t groups banning together because they will infiltrate those groups. They’ve got all the power. They’ve got all the money. How do we expect to ever get through it but when they create like Bob Dylan said confusion amongst everyone trying to get at the truth. IT’S THAT FREE WILL. IT’S YOUR OWN THOUGHTS. It’s not clinging to anybody but your own gut feeling how to beat these guys and that’s what it will eventually do if you get a lot of people thinking on those terms and understand it. Lets talk about the propaganda movement. Lets talk about how they infiltrate things. I mean down to the levels where you wouldn’t even expect it. Why don’t we talk about that for a moment Alan.

Alan: Well there was a good book put out years ago called "You Can Always Count on the Communists," and it’s printed in the U.S. I can’t remember the author’s name but he gave you the techniques of infiltration and what happens is someone and volunteers their time and they put more work in than anyone else until they’re indispensable and before you know it they’re basically like a top secretary running the whole thing and then when it comes to reelection for the next head of the organization they naturally get the position and then they steer you off into a different course. This is standard technique of infiltration.

Greg: And they keep it going and going and going and never get to any conclusions correct?

Alan: That’s correct.

Greg: It’s a waste of time for the people doing it.

Alan: Absolutely. And what I tell people I say the world over we’re given this ideal that’s given to us a thing called DEMOCRACY is something which is NEVER REALLY DEFINED because it’s different every 100 years. The democracy of England was totally different from the one they gave to the people in the 1900s and it’s still flexible and elastic and I say if you’re going to vote anybody in even to a local school board or a local council or anything which gives power over you that’s the key to it. You’re giving them the right to make laws over you, you better find out every agency they belong to. Every organization they’ve sworn alliance to and these strange religion loosely called Masonry under all the different names they both belong to both male and female you find out what they are and what they’ve sworn oaths to and then you’ll start unlocking this whole box here.

Greg: Yes good point. I mean what about looking into the Knights of Malta finding out that many of our leaders are involved in that group and what that group is all about. It’s about finding out why the PRIESTS and the VATICAN were INVOLVED IN MASONRY and why one pope John Paul I wanted to get rid of them and he was killed. I mean these are the questions we must ask. I see no problem in asking all of them.

Alan: It’s your right to do so because you are being asked to give up all your rights once this person is voted in they make laws over you.

Greg: Right, but immediately when you start asking tough questions they attack you on levels like oh you’re anti-Jewish. You’re anti-Catholic. You can’t ask those questions. They immediately - what it shows listeners is this. THEY DON’T WANT PEOPLE TO THINK ON THEIR OWN ANYMORE. They want someone to control the group that’s supposedly liberal that supposedly gets at the truth and only ask the politically correct questions. Correct Alan?

Alan: That’s right. When you look at Masonry with it’s – see Babylon was called Mystery Babylon because it had a thousand faces. A thousand faces that often seemed on a low level in conflict with each other.

Greg: Interesting. Well lets take a break and get back into that Mystery of Babylon with my guest Alan Watt with Investigative Journal. Okay Alan we we’re talking about the mysteries of Babylon and also Freemasonry. Just pickup where you left off.

Alan: That was part of the whole confusion of the Mystery of Babylon. A traveler to Babylon would say well it’s those priests over there and they say no it’s the guys over on the other side that’s doing it and at a low level they kept the world in confusion by having all opposing sides on bottom levels whereas the top guys, the higher priesthoods controlled all of the lower sects and they were all one at the top you see.

Greg: Well lets take that premise and lets just say you’re just an average American trying to figure out who these guys are. Where is this New World Order. What’s their address? What’s their main headquarters? Who do you look to because they always get you to look everywhere. In your research what would you do?

Alan: They find that the biggest sect of Freemasonry for males anyway in the United States is the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry also called the Rite of Perfection and people think it’s from Scotland but it’s not from Scotland at all. It was given it’s charter by the GRAND ORIENT LODGE OF FRANCE. Another one is the Jewish sect which is the B’nai Brith. That’s also a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. They were given their charter by the

Scottish Rite of Freemasonry so people actually think they’re Jews but they’re not. Once you join these sects you join an international brotherhood of all nationalities and cultures and peoples and you may lead your own people in other capacities but you really belong to this higher sect that you’ve been drafted into and that’s what people should really understand. There’s far more to the masonry than just some little fraternal business.

They ADMIT in THIER OWN WRITINGS they’ve been behind all major revolutions in the world and they have a common goal as to where they are going.

Greg: Take us back to that famous name Adam Weishaupt.

Alan: Yes, Weishaupt was an interesting man because he was only one member of illuminati. He didn’t create it at all. If you look at the Oxford Dictionaries you’ll see the name illuminati cropping up from about the 12th or 13th century onwards down through history. He was one sect that sprung up in Germany to help further the next step of the revolutionary phase and his logo for the illuminati his own order was called the Beenan Order of Germany. That’s the BEEHIVE Order. You see that same thing on the famous portrait of Washington the beehive down below him. That’s their perfect system where everything runs in harmony.

So Masonry appears to oppose each other at the bottom with the Catholic versus the Protestant but it’s the same capstone above them that knows what’s going on and that’s the key to it. THEY MUST CREATE CHAOS IN ORDER TO BRING OUT RESOLUTION and that’s a simple technique really is to create the chaos and then offer the solutions over and over.

Greg: Anytime you start talking about the Freemasons you get a barrage of them. Any time when I write articles about them I get the barrage emails from lower level masons that tell me they know nothing about anything of this. They are basically doing good. I’ve even recently been invited to be a Mason by one of them so that he can prove it to me. He wants me to go to Georgia or something. I have time to go but anyway that’s where the argument gets to. What do you say to that?

Alan: Well Albert Pike in his own book, "Morals and Dogma" where he ADMITS it IS A RELIGION even though they try to deny it. Albert Pike said that the lower masons are no different than the profane. They provide an outer cover a portico he called it between the public and the real higher masons above them. So they don’t know the agenda. However --

Greg: Right, a cover for the top guys?

Alan: Yes they do a fantastic cover. That’s why they go under the guise of charity. It’s very hard to attack mom’s apple pie.

Greg: I sometimes look at the Jesuit war the war of priests in the Catholic church and the same thing goes on there. There are over 20,000 of them in the world but maybe only a small percentage one to two percent know really what’s going on. The rest of them – most of them provide a good cover.

Alan: That’s what they do but the one thing about masonry I think everyone should know they make sure that everyone does know this about them. They’ll keep the secrets to themselves but they make sure that everybody down to the local level know that if you join them you’ll get SPECIAL FAVORS GRANTED TO YOU that ARE NOT GRANTED to the GENERAL PUBLIC. That’s the hook to get in. You’ll get favored promotion at work. You’ll get off with traffic tickets. You might even skip a waiting line to get into a hospital. A lot of freebees the public won’t get.

Greg: Yes, okay. Now what is the difference between the creator God and the god of Masons and other religions?

Alan: Well the Masons go by – on a lower level again this is quite interesting how they do it because they want people of all faiths to join on a lower level they’ll tell them to keep their religion. However, once you go past the 3rd degree they’re gradually BROUGHT into a FORM of ATHEISM and those who can handle that part of it and they’re tested along the way in at a social level to and brought back into the lodges. They’re tested all the time then they’re brought into the REAL RELIGION BEHIND IT and that’s where Albert Pike goes into the LUCIFERIAN ANGLE. Lucifer standing for intellect to dominate the lesser. Greg: There’s still a statue of Albert Pike in Washington for those of you out there who don’t know that so I’m sure there’s a lot of Albert Pike followers in our government right now.

Alan: Oh absolutely. Absolutely and that’s not the end all at the 33rd Degree. MASONRY IS A 360 DEGREE CIRCLE.

Greg: Now explain that to me.

Alan: Well they have everybody caught in their little box and they’ll tell you according to the lodge you join they’ve got so many degrees and THE KEY IS that a THIRD GENERATION MASON.

In other words if you’re a first generation Mason you can’t go beyond the 32nd degree. If you get introduced to your wife who’s an Eastern Star because it’s a EUGENICS PROGRAM that goes along with Masonry. They don’t like to talk about that part of it then you offspring the next generation he can go even further and up to the 40th Degree you third generation can go all the way. THAT THE KEY TO THAT.

Greg: So you get to the third generation you can go all the way to what degree now?

Alan: 360.

Greg: What happens up there?

Alan: THAT’S WHERE YOU BECOME GOD IN A SENSE.

Greg: That’s what I was getting at in this question. They consider themselves to be gods.

Alan: Yes, oh they do. They write about it quite openly at the top.

Greg: Now would you put Clinton and Bush in that category?

Alan: No. I would say they are probably around the 60s.

Greg: They’re up in the 60th?

Alan: At least Clinton is. Yes.

Greg: So he’s working his way up to that god like creature?

Alan: Yes. Bush, Sr. when he got in the first photo op was taken when he wore a football shirt on some team for a PR photograph and HE HAD THE NUMBER 33 ON HIS JERSEY. So I don’t know how high he is. He’s probably at least the 40s anyway. 40’s to 50s.

Greg: Wow Clinton has moved his way up. Can he go any higher?

Alan: It’s possible. If we knew all of the story between his mother and his father – you see this goes back to Benjamin Franklin. Benjamin Franklin gave the little doll, the little toy doll to the world from France and in Masonry in his time they had prostitution circles attached to their lodges but these weren’t ordinary prostitutes. These were SPECIAL BREEDERS with carriers of LINEAGES in them and if you work towards the GREAT WORK and put a lot into it you were given the privilege of perhaps producing an offspring by this high prostitute. They called them DOLLIES. They were carriers. A dolly was something you carry.

THEY CARRY THE GENE and the woman in the Hellfire Club that he was allowed to be selected with was called Madam Bouvier and there are two Bouvier’s left today. The other one descendant was JACQUELINE KENNEDY. These are the carriers of specific genes and that’s the reward you get if you work really well towards the Great Work. There’s a definite EUGENICS PROGRAM here of breeding in what they claim are higher quality genetic material into the families. And so when the Grand Master introduces you to your wife at a dinner party then that’s an ORDER. It’s not a suggestion if you’re wise as they say.

Greg: Now back in the late ‘70s there was a list of archbishops, cardinals that were pinned in Masonic Lodges in Italy codes names the whole works. How does that fit it? Why would they even want to join?

Alan: I think – here’s the odd thing. If you understand religions in Latin and Greek and go into even the Sumerian and so on you’ll find that the system has always been here and those who clue into the system are the ones with access to the old books and the tongues and languages and so every priest who gets to the Vatican has access to stuff which has got them started thinking along certain lines that there’s far more to the system than they’ve been told and so they’re already part way there when they understand that and then of course they’ll be tested out and tried and then gradually brought into the mystery sects.

Greg: Very, very, very interesting. Before we go into this break did you ever during this whole process – I guess I only have a minute here I just want to get this said. Do you think right now we have a chance of ever turning these guys around? I mean seriously in the next year?

Alan: Not just like that unless you expose them for who they are, what they’ve joined and THE AGENDAS of these ORGANIZATIONS.

Time is running out and if Americans don't rally and act quickly, according to former high level Illuminati, Leo Zagami, the U.S. will be soon thrown into a complete dictatorship.

Most people in America suspect something evil and strange is taking place or choosing to ignore the signs of fascism, holding on like children to a phony American dream now completely obliterated.

But one thing for sure most Americans will be ill-prepared when the final dictatorial show falls, leaving them helpless slaves to the Vatican-led/Jesuit controlled Illuminati New World Order.

The question looms: How much time before America reduced to a total dictatorship, completely under the yoke of Satan's minions?

According to Zagami, who appeared Monday on Greg Szymanski's radio show, The Investigative Journal, complete Illuminati control of America is set for no later than 2010, as the years preceding will usher in more terrorism on a larger scale than 9/11.

"They use terrorism to put you under the stick, as we liked to say in the Monte Carlo P2 Lodge," said Zagami, adding since he defected last June he is aware of attempts on his life by who he calls the evil Jesuits.

"They know me quite well, and they know because of my aristocratic bloodlines, my death can only be authorized by Count Hans Kolvenbach (The Black Pope) and the gay Pope himself, Ratzinger. So, if I am killed, you know who authorized the killing. But I doubt if they will do it as I have left the Catholic Church, becoming a Muslim and they know if they kill me, I will become a Muslim martyr and I don't think they want that."

Zamami, during his two-hour radio interview, told how a man named Klaus Schmidt, a Nazi-trained law enforcement agent in Bavaria recently visited America, attending a Freemason Grand Lodge get together in Virginia, a high-level Illuminati Lodge where Schmidt is instructing members and beginning a serious charge for complete dictatorship in America.

Zagami claims Schmidt is a key Illuminati figure working with American Satanists to usher in complete fascism.

"He is a man Americans need to watch," added Zagami.

Here is Schmidt's  background:

Klaus Schmidt, a Senior Police Officer from the Bavarian State Police with more than 40 years of service, is a veteran of all EU Police Missions in Albania.

He was born in 1945 and is a native of Fuerth/Baveria where he joined the Police after serving his time in the military.

Mr. Schmidt is a graduate of the Senior Command Course in Germany, the FBI National Academy, the FBI Executives training at Quantico, Virginia and at the University of Princeton, the DEA Commander training and the West Point Leadership and Command training.

He studied from 1985 to 1990 Political Science and Sociology at the University of Wuerzburg and was granted a scholarship for the University of Southern California where he graduated the Delinquency Control Institute. He is a Graduate of the Senior Executive Class on Counterterrorism at the College for Security Studies in Germany.

Mr. Schmidt held several senior positions within the Bavarian State Police, the German Senior Command College, the European Drugs Unit and at Europol. He served as Commander of the MAPE Mission, Head of Operations with the ECPA-A Mission and Deputy Head of Mission with PAMECA (2002-2004).

His service in the Police includes several years in the Bomb Squad of the Bavarian State Police, where he also received training as a diver for underwater demolition.

Mr. Schmidt worked during this period of time as instructor for Special Forces in Bavaria, on federal level and abroad. His main professional experience lies within combating Serious and Organised Crime.

Mr. Schmidt received several decorations for his service including the West Point Leadership Award.

As Head of the Mission he represents the project on high level towards the Albanian authorities, the European Commission, the EU Member States and the International Consortium of Donors. He orchestrates and monitors PAMECA's activities and evaluates the quality of reports and analysis.

According to a decision of the Government of the Republic of Albania dated 23 June 2005, Mr. Schmidt was appointed as Professor for International Strategic Management for his role of implementing a new national command, leadership and management system for the ASP.

Besides Schmidt, Zagami told Americans no matter what the outcome of the recent elections, the American government is still in the firm control of the Vatican-led Illuminati with George H. Bush as the top Satanist with everything under his evil control.

"We have documents that Bush was close to Anton Levay, the master Satanist, and even planned the birth of his son George W. to become the puppet Satanist in control after Bush Sr. went behind the scenes again," said Zagami. "I also warned people about the complete evil behind Prime Minister Tony Blair, but nobody listened. He has also been connected to a baby-killing sacrifice at Bohemian Grove.."

Besides the well-known and documented Bush family connections to the Nazis, documented in the National Archives and the Congressional record, Zagami recently wrote how Bush, "the ultimate Anti-Christ family, will rule no matter what the political outcome."

John Daniel, author of the book The Grand Design Exposed about Vatican corruption, has again hit the Roman rulers with a solid literary body blow, exposing their intentions of diabolical world domination.

Daniel has put together a quick-read, 22 page booklet called Organized Christianity's Prostitution Cover-up.

He appeared Thursday on Greg Szymanski's radio show, The Investigative Journal , encouraging listeners to read his new booklet since it reveals how the world, including America, have been deceived by the papacy who is at the center of the New World Order.

"We have all been deceived for hundreds of years and now they are preparing their takeover of America," said Daniel, who claims the Vatican's intentions through its temporal governmental and religious minions around the world is to establish a one world religion and government based in Jerusalem. "They are planning to drastically repopulate the world by two-thirds and this is coming soon."

Daniel's latest effort to alert sleeping Americans touches on tough topics, purposely hidden by the media who he claims is also controlled through Vatican power, adding vital history has been "altered, changed and stolen" from the American people.

Daniel's adds that most Americans believe the Vatican and its Jesuit henchmen are God-faring men but he claims nothing is further from the truth, saying they are really Luciferian sun worshippers who are using freemasonry, corrupt politicians and corrupt religious leaders to further the New World Order.

"War and destruction is their goal in order to set up a world under their fake Messianic leader who will rule from Jerusalem after Christians, Muslims and Jews are slaughtered in what amounts to be a modern-day bloody Crusade," added Daniel.

Besides looking into America's modern day dilemma, Daniel's booklet delves into Vatican and Roman history. He deals with such difficult subjects as:

How the organized "Christian" Church cut a deal with Roman Emperor Constantine, the result being the formation of the official State religion of the Roman Empire;

How this organized Church, the Roman Catholic Church, assumed the mantle of the Roman Pontifex Maximus when the Roman Empire fell and then began to persecute Christians, essentially wiping out hundreds of thousands through the Holy Inquisition or crusades; and

How this organized Roman Catholic Church will soon reach the pinnacles of power she once held in Europe when her Popes ruled over kings and how they are now orchestrating another Holy Inquisition and murdering anyone who dares question the Vatican's right to once again rule the world.

According to freedom fighter, Darryl Eberhart, who reviewed Daniel's latest writing, he said:

"This booklet shows the reader how the early Christians were persecuted by the pagan Roman emperors until Constantine and Bishop Eusebius obviously cut a deal in order to make the Roman Catholic Church the State religion.

"Since the Vatican and Jesuits are the top financial, geopolitical and religious players on the global chessboard and since the Vatican and its Jesuits hate religious liberty ? then surely we must all work hard to expose then and their nefarious plans to destroy our American Republic."

VIII. WORLD WAR I

The Vatican and her Jesuits were clearly responsible for the carnage that occurred in both World War I and World War II. Please carefully consider the following quote by Edmond Paris:

"The public is practically unaware of the overwhelming responsibility carried by the Vatican and its Jesuits in the starting of two world wars - a situation which may be explained in part by the gigantic finances at the disposition of the Vatican and its Jesuits, giving them power in so many spheres, especially since the last conflict."

Please consider this quote by Pope Pius X (1835-1914; pope: 1903-1914):

"It would certainly have been better if Austria-Hungary had punished the Serbians for all the wrongs they had done." (1913)

Comment to the preceding quote: In The Secret History of the Jesuits, Edmond Paris points out that, contrary to Catholic Church propaganda, Pope Pius X actually helped instigate hostilities between Austria-Hungary and Serbia. Clearly both the Hapsburg dynasty (rulers of Austria-Hungary) and the Vatican saw the growing power of Serbia [made up mostly of Orthodox Christians] as a "threat". In fact, in late 1913 Prince Schonburg had an audience with Pope Pius X, who told Schonburg the words contained in the preceding quote. In other words, the Roman Catholic pope was letting this Roman Catholic European power ( Austria-Hungary) know that it was past time to "take care of" the Serbian "problem"!))

Please carefully consider the following quotations concerning World War II contained in this section:

Why did I list all of the above quotations? I did so because the Vatican planned, fomented, and orchestrated two world wars in an attempt to achieve Vatican objectives in Europe. The Vatican also planned, fomented, and orchestrated those two bloody world wars in order to slaughter millions of the favorite "targets": Jews, Protestants, and Orthodox Christians! Indeed, the Vatican and her Jesuits have been at the forefront of almost every major bloody war and major bloody revolution in the western world in the past four centuries. Numerous historians have documented this. Please see the section entitled "What Can We Do?" - it will contain a number of books that document this nefarious history of bloodshed and violence.

Questions: If "the Jews" (i.e., Jewish bankers, Zionists, etc.) run the banking in the USA and in Europe, then why in blazes did they finance Hitler, Mussolini, and many other Catholic dictators in Europe during World War II? If "the Jews" have been running the USA and western European countries for ages, then why did they help ensure that millions of Jews would be slaughtered during World War II by supporting Catholic Fascist dictators? The answer is quite simple: It was NOT "the Jews" running the show in Europe during World War II, but rather the Vatican with her Jesuits and her powerful and wealthy Knights of Malta - with the help of a few rich secular Jews who work with the Vatican on such enterprises as world wars.

X. THE USA TODAY - WHO REALLY RUNS THIS COUNTRY?

Here's an interesting quote by author and publisher Jack T. Chick:

"I questioned Dr. [Alberto] Rivera about the briefings he received in the Vatican when he was a Jesuit priest. I asked him if he was briefed on how the Vatican planned to take over the United States. He told me [that] his indoctrination [training as a Jesuit] went back [into American history] to the time of the Pilgrims. Because of the knowledge of the Inquisition and the slaughter of Christians by the Roman Catholic system, the early immigrants in America began passing laws to keep Jesuits out of this country and to outlaw the mass?to protect themselves from a Vatican takeover. These were Christian communities deeply concerned about the 'whore of [found in the book of] Revelation'.

Jesuits began arriving in America as early as the second group of Pilgrims. They used different names with identifications. They were followed years later when the Vatican sent multitudes of Catholic families from England, Ireland, and France - posing as Protestants - into the colonies. These were 'plants'. They were holding secret masses in defiance of the laws. In those days, no Roman Catholic was to hold any position in civil government. The Jesuits made sure this part of our history was erased and removed.

The next major move by the Jesuits was to destroy or control all the Christian schools across America. Throughout the years, Jesuits, working undercover, have gotten into special committees on school boards to remove the emphasis of the Bible and replace it with psychology as found in the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius de Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit Society. Later, Catholic schools and universities sprang up all across the nation under the Jesuits. Today, they probably outnumber all the Christian schools and colleges put together.

The third stage was to move into the courts and legislation?to take over as judges and lawyers in order to manipulate the Constitution in their favor until it could be changed. Once this was accomplished, the thrust was into politics to capture the political parties. Then [the Jesuits moved on to] the military and the newspapers. Even back in the time of Lincoln over half the newspapers in the United States were controlled by the Vatican."

"The real menace of our Republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities, states, and nation.

Please consider the following quotations by F. Tupper Saussy, which were taken from his book RULERS OF EVIL: Useful Knowledge About Governing Bodies, along with some of my editorial comments:

"What [Professor Carol A.] Brown [of the University of Massachusetts] had learned from Carl Bernstein, I [i.e., F. Tupper Saussy] had discovered for myself over several years of private investigation: the papacy really does run United States foreign policy? Yes, [Carl] Bernstein noted that the leading American players behind the Reagan/Vatican conspiracy, to a man, were 'devout Roman Catholics' - namely,

? William Casey - Director, CIA [Ed. Note: And a Knight of Malta];

One of them, Georgetown University, is famous for educating many U.S. diplomats and Foreign Service personnel. A Jesuit priest and professor at Georgetown University, 'Father' Edmund Walsh (who founded the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University), in 1922 led the "Relief Mission" to the Soviet Union after the Bolsheviks had seized power.

(2) The Knights of Malta is headquartered with, and subordinate to, the Jesuit Superior General in Rome. "An updating of this list will not reflect a significant change in the presence of Roman Catholic laypersons in the higher legislative reaches. According to the 'Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities', in the 106th Congress there are 40 'Jesuit alumni' who graduated from 17 Jesuit institutions [of higher learning]. There are 5 alumni in the U.S. Senate and 35 alumni in the House of Representatives. Out of these 40 alumni, 23 received graduate or professional degrees from Jesuit universities. [Jesuit] Georgetown University has the most graduates, boasting 15 alumni in the U.S. Congress."

((Ed. Comment to the preceding quote: Please remember that these folks are graduates of Jesuit institutes of higher learning. There are other Roman Catholic institutes of higher learning that do not belong to the Jesuit Order. Many Roman Catholic laypersons that have served in the U.S. Congress have come from non-Jesuit Roman Catholic colleges and universities.))

Please also consider these two quotes by Avro Manhattan, taken from his book Murder in the Vatican:

"The Vatican is a superpower - on a par with the USA and Soviet Russia. Indeed, since at times it can act as a formulator of the policies of both, it can be reckoned as the paramount superpower of our times.

Its adherents, a massive portion of mankind, nearing a billion [Ed. Note: it's now over a billion], can be made to operate in every corner of the world. [There are] sixty million [Roman Catholics] within the USA herself.

?Therefore the Vatican is a superpower in its own right. Indeed, because of its duality as a political and as a religious center, it can outbid the other two [superpowers]."

((Ed. Comments to the preceding quote:

(1) The Vatican today needs no standing armies of her own. Why is this so? It is because she can mobilize the armies of other nations to do her bidding. This happened on a massive scale during World War II - a war that was fomented and largely orchestrated by the Vatican.

(2) The Vatican is often able to "steer" (i.e., direct) the foreign policy of other nations through her many agents that she infiltrates into foreign policy-making governmental committees and organizations - and, into the most powerful intelligence agencies in the World, such as the CIA. In the USA, the Vatican is able to draw upon her powerful Jesuits, Knights of Malta, Knights of Columbus, Opus Dei, etc. - many of whom hold positions of great power in the U.S. government! Sadly, many of these powerful individuals give a far greater degree of their loyalty to the Pope and/or to the Jesuit Superior General than they do to the U.S. Constitution and to the American people!

(3) There were 60 million Roman Catholics in the USA in 1985 (when Manhattan's book was written). However, when one adds to this number the normal growth in population of 20 more years, PLUS all the illegal immigrants coming into the USA (the vast majority of whom are Roman Catholic), the number of Catholics in America today is probably closer to 100 million.))

"Thus, whereas the USA has a mere 250 million citizens [Ed. Note: Remember, this was written in 1985] and the Soviet Union about 300 million, the Vatican, via the [Roman] Catholic Church, can influence between 800 and 1000 million [i.e., one billion] Catholics.

These [now over one billion Roman Catholics], unlike the citizens of the other two superpowers (who are strictly confined within physical and political barriers), have no frontiers whatsoever. They are posted within the USA, Soviet Russia, and within hundreds of other countries, and can be made to operate independently of their own administrations, governments or regimes.

A Catholic citizen, therefore, owing to the fact that he is a member of the Catholic Church, can and often is influenced in his social and ideological attitudes by those taken by the Vatican, acting as the political facet of the Catholic Church.

It cannot be otherwise, since [Roman] Catholics, notwithstanding their disclaimer, are affected directly, tangently, by the Vatican's political stance in the belief that such a stance is that of the Catholic Church."

And please consider this quote by Jeremiah J. Crowley (Irishman; ex-priest in the Roman Catholic Church; author of the book Romanism: Menace to the Nation):

"Today they [i.e., the Jesuits] are stronger in the United States than they ever were in any of the countries of Europe which expelled them as a menace to the government." (1912)

B. The Mainstream Media and Press

I would like to repeat journalist Paul Blanchard's quote again:

"There is no doubt that the American Catholic hierarchy has entered the political arena, and that it is becoming more and more aggressive in extending the frontiers of Catholic authority into the fields of medicine, education, and foreign policy? As we shall see in this book [Ed. Note: American Freedom and Catholic Power], the Catholic hierarchy in this country [ i.e., the USA] has great power as a pressure group, and no editor, politician, publisher, merchant or motion-picture producer can express defiance openly - or publicize documented facts - without risking his future." (1949; Quote was taken from his book American Freedom and Catholic Power.)

Please remember that this quote was made in 1949. The power of the Roman Catholic hierarchy in the USA has not diminished from that time, but has, in fact, grown. Many powerful Knights of Malta (under the control of the Roman Catholic Jesuit Order) have held key positions in the media ( e.g., Henry Robinson Luce and William Randolph Hearst), in U.S. Intelligence (e.g., CIA chiefs William Donovan, John McCone, and William Casey), in banking, in the U.S. government, etc. Top-level Knights of Columbus (e.g., Senator Ted Kennedy) have held, and continue to hold, key positions in the U.S. government. Many of these men do NOT have the best interests of the American people at heart - rather, they serve the interests of the globalist rich and power elite and the Vatican. These men share the goals of the Vatican for one-world government and one-world religion under the leadership of the papacy!

Here are some interesting quotes about America's controlled mainstream media (which is probably the most controlled media in the western world):

"In March 1915, the J.P. Morgan interests [Ed. Note: controlled by the Rockefellers]?got together 12 men high up in the newspaper world and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the U.S. and [a] sufficient number of them to CONTROL generally the policy of the daily press of the United States. These 12 men worked the problem out by selecting 179 newspapers, and then began, by an elimination process to retain only those necessary for the purpose of CONTROLLING. They found it was necessary to purchase CONTROL of 25 of the greatest [news] papers. The 25 [news] papers were agreed upon; emissaries were sent to purchase the policy, national and international, of these papers. An agreement was reached; the policy of the papers was bought, to be paid for by the month; an editor was furnished for each paper to properly SUPERVISE and EDIT information regarding the questions of preparedness, militarism, financial policies, and other things of national and international nature considered vital to the INTERESTS of the PURCHASERS? This policy also included the SUPPRESSION of everything in opposition to the wishes of the INTERESTS SERVED." (Statement placed in the Congressional Record in 1917)

"There is probably no important magazine or newspaper in the country [Ed. Note: the USA] that is not COMMUNIST-penetrated to some degree."

Whittaker Chambers (1901-1961; American journalist; ex-member of the Communist Party of the United States)

((Ed. Comment to preceding quote: The communists are merely "front men" for more powerful forces working "behind the scenes" - controlled by secret societies, such as the Jesuits.))

Authors Texe Marrs and Dr. Cathy Burns, and other writers, have reported that such "Protestant" evangelical leaders, such as Billy Graham and Pat Robertson (both of whom are high-level Masons), were financed and set up ("puffed" in the press as they started their religious careers) by such Roman Catholic Knights of Malta as Henry Robinson Luce and William Randolph Hearst. Isn't that very interesting - "Protestant" leaders (who are Masons) being set up by Roman Catholic Knights of Malta?

Who really controls America's mainstream media? Some allege that it is "the Jews" running America's mainstream media. If that is so, then how do these powerful Roman Catholic Knights of Malta achieve such mighty positions in the world of publishing and electronic media? If "the Jews" run America's press and publishing houses, then how does a Roman Catholic pope get to be named "man of the year" in major U.S. newsmagazines? If "the Jews" run our television networks, then how does a masterful piece of propaganda on Roman Catholic Pope John Paul II get to be aired on American television? If "the Jews" run America's media, then why in blazes do popes and other Catholic prelates get wonderful press in this country? ((Remember, no one has hated and slaughtered Jews like the Vatican has! If you doubt this, please see my TTT newsletter entitled "Bloody Hands & Wicked Hearts" that is posted on the first two Internet web sites listed at the beginning of this newsletter.))

XI. RED HERRINGS, SCAPEGOATS, & SMOKESCREENS

I would like to repeat a statement I made earlier in this newsletter:

Front organizations, "sheep dipping", scapegoats, red herrings, and smoke screens - all of these are SOP (standard operating procedures) for the Jesuit Order!

One of the favorite "red herrings" [i.e., something used to divert attention from the basic issue] used by the Jesuit Order is that "such-and-such a person is a Jew". You can find various web sites that will tell you that Hitler was a Jew - or Stalin was a Jew. First of all, let's get a few things straight from the beginning here:

? Adolph Hitler was a practicing Roman Catholic who was never excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church. (Neither was Mussolini!) He was put into power by German Roman Catholic Knight of Malta Franz von Papen and the Roman Catholic Centrum (or, Zentrum) Party in Bavaria. And, Hitler signed a Concordat with the Vatican.

? Joe Stalin was trained by the Jesuits at the Jesuit Tiflis Seminary in Soviet Georgia.

Again, this is "standard operating procedures" for the Jesuit Order. That is, after the dastardly deeds are done, then accuse every powerful individual who was involved - usually after he is dead - of being a Jew.

Something else to consider: The Jews settled extensively throughout much of Europe, and despite warnings to the contrary, did intermarry amongst the surrounding Gentiles. Thus many Europeans probably have at least a little Jewish blood from somewhere on the "family tree". It has been reported that Adam Weishaupt was born a Jew. Even if true, so what? Adam Weishaupt was Jesuit-trained, and he taught Roman Catholic Canon Law at a Jesuit university in Catholic Bavaria ( i.e., at Jesuit Ingolstadt University). Weishaupt, as already mentioned, died in the good graces of the Catholic Church (after being "sheep dipped" for a period of time). Likewise, Stalin was Jesuit-trained.

Something else to consider: I have read in several books that at one time a Jew was found in the Jesuit Order and was immediately put out of the Order - and that a rule was made that no [real] Jew could be a Jesuit. Do the Jesuits use some Jews as front men? It would certainly appear that they do.

The main point here is: It does not matter what one is born (whether Jew, Christian, Moslem, etc.), but rather whom does one serve! We can take a look at World War II and see that history recorded in great detail that the monsters who fomented, choreographed, and conducted this bloody world war were Roman Catholics who had the full support of the Vatican. And they carried out the Vatican's agenda in World War II. Take a good, close look again at the Eric Jon Phelps' quote in the World War II section that lists those Roman Catholic dictators.

As far as scapegoats go, the Vatican has for centuries used "the Jews" as their favorite "scapegoat". Again, please read my TTT newsletter entitled "Bloody Hands & Wicked Hearts" for some historical examples of this use of the Jews as a scapegoat by the Vatican. The Jesuits certainly use "the Jews" quite often as a "smoke screen" to cover their own nefarious activities!

XII. SUMMARY

History has shown us quite clearly that the Vatican hates religious liberty and loves ecclesiastical tyranny. It also shows us that she hates the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America (where religious liberty has flourished) and loves Fascist regimes.

The plans to destroy America and her Constitutional Republic were made quite early in American history. Roman Catholic monarchs and the highest levels of the Roman Catholic Church's hierarchy (to include a number of popes) CONSPIRED to destroy religious liberty and representative government. Top Catholic leaders gathered in at least three largely secret meetings to discuss how to squash religious liberty and representative government wherever and whenever they appeared - whether on the European continent or in the United States of America.

These three meetings were:

? The Congress of Vienna [Austria] from 1814 through 1815;

? The secret meeting at Verona, Italy in 1822; and,

? The secret meeting at Chieri, Italy in 1825.

Indeed, plans were carefully laid out at these meetings for the takeover of the United States through infiltration of our government, our education system, our press and media, and even our non-Catholic Christian churches and seminaries. The same plans had earlier been used quite successfully in England. The degree to which most Americans are totally unaware of these three secret meetings (Vienna, Verona, and Chieri), Vatican and Jesuit involvement in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, the Vatican's involvement in fomenting both World War I and World War II, the Vatican's support of Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy (and other Fascist states in Europe) during World War II, etc., speak volumes about how successful their takeover of America's history books, publishing industry, press, and media has been!

The primary "weapon" against religious liberty, the Protestant Reformation, representative government, etc., of the Vatican for the past four plus centuries has been the infamous Jesuit Order (with its powerful Knights of Malta and its control of the top levels of Freemasonry). The primary "tool" of the Jesuit Order has been INFILTRATION. Wherever the Jesuit Order has been allowed to flourish, political intrigue, revolutions, civil wars, assassinations of heads of State, etc., have been the fruit of this den of vipers.

XIII. FINAL THOUGHTS

Question: After having read this newsletter, who do you think is the greatest threat to our Constitutional Republic and our religious liberty - the Vatican & Jesuits OR "the Jews"?

((The following paragraph is an addition for the "electronic version" of this issue of TTT that will soon, D.v., be posted on the Internet. I asked the same question as immediately above in a January 6, 2006 piece I wrote entitled "New Year's Thoughts". I think the information is worth repeating in this section of this newsletter.))

"For heaven's sake, there are 18 million Jews in the world, and over one BILLION Roman Catholics (that the Vatican State can draw on). The Vatican State not only has diplomatic relations with many nations of the world, but also has the largest (by far) and most efficient intelligence-gathering network in the world (especially through her numerous monastic orders, large priesthood, and the Confessional)! The Vatican has a well-documented history of over 1000 years of religious genocide on a massive scale ((against Jews; against Christian groups such as the Albigenses and Waldenses; against Protestants (the French Huguenots, Irish Protestants, Bohemians, etc.); and against Orthodox Christians (as recently as the 1940s)). The Vatican has a well-documented history of Inquisition (especially against Jews and Christians), and of the most brutal torture. (The Office of Inquisition STILL exists - now called the 'Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith' - and the Catholic Church has never repudiated its 'right' to use force, torture, and extermination of all who oppose her doctrines and practices! The Vatican has a well-documented history of infiltrating governments and royal courts with her Jesuits, papal knights, etc. The Vatican's Jesuit Order has a well-documented history of infiltrating other Christian denominations and seminaries, of assassinating heads of State, of fomenting revolutions and wars, and of carrying out many other nefarious activities. The Vatican has a well-documented history of loving Fascist regimes (such as Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy in World War II) and of hating religious liberty. The Vatican also loves ecclesiastical monopoly, and regularly persecutes other religions whenever and wherever she has the power and opportunity to do so ( e.g., Croatia in World War II)! Now, in view of what was stated in this paragraph, I ask you, dear reader:

Who is the greatest threat to religious liberty and conscience, and to the American Republic - "the Jews" or the Papacy/Vatican/Jesuits?"

America is at the brink of destruction. And that destruction has been carefully planned. We - none of us - can afford to remain "silent" for fear of offending anyone or any institution.

Indeed, many of us have Roman Catholic relatives and friends. We don't do them - or ourselves - any favors by remaining "silent" concerning the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church and its well-documented history of:

? Hating religious liberty and freedom of conscience;

? Plotting the overthrow of the U.S. Constitution and our most basic God-given Rights;

? Assassinating heads of State, such as President Abraham Lincoln;

? Fomenting and orchestrating revolutions and wars, such as World War I and World War II;

? Planning and carrying out religious genocide on a mass scale against such groups as: Jews, Bible-believing Christians such as the Albigenses and Waldenses, Protestants such as the Irish Protestants and French Huguenots, and Orthodox Christians (as recently as the 1940s in Croatia); and,

? Planning and working to be at the very top of a one-world religion and a one-world government.

If we are worried about offending our Catholic relatives and friends, then we ought to consider this following quote by the Greek philosopher Aristotle (384-322 B.C.): "?Piety requires us to honor truth above our friends."

Some commentators continue their main focus on "the Jewish bankers, the Masonic Jews, the Jewish neo-conservatives in the U.S. Administration, the Zionists, and Israel" - sometimes lumping them all together as "the Jews". Those individuals who do so, while largely ignoring the much greater threat from the geopolitical/financial/religious powerhouse made up of the Vatican State with her Jesuits, Knights of Malta, Knights of Columbus, Opus Dei, numerous monastic orders, a large priesthood, plus control of the top levels of Freemasonry, etc., are doing the following:

? "Straining at a gnat while swallowing a camel."

? Focusing on two "growling Chihuahuas" (what they call "the Jews" and Israel) while largely ignoring ten "Bengal (Romish) Tigers" ( Vatican State, Jesuits, Opus Dei, papal knights, etc.).

? Pointing out to us an "infantry squad" attacking in the middle of the battlefield while missing the "ten armored divisions" quickly enveloping us on one of our flanks.

By doing this, I believe that they are, perhaps without knowing it, aiding and abetting the most powerful enemies of our Republic and of our liberties. And everyone who remains SILENT about this great threat to our Republic and our liberties is also aiding and abetting those who desire to destroy everything we hold dear!

We can go on pretending that there is no real threat from the Vatican's designs for world domination - to be at the head of one-world government and one-world religion, or we can do some research and study to find out the truth about the Vatican and her hatred of our most precious liberties. Which brings us to the section entitled, "What Can We Do?"
