visavis: I have found alot of deep meaning in Radiohead songs, they certainly have a lot more meaning then they apear to have, maybe more then Thom Yorke intended.
Ocean roar
right on!Tv on the radio is the best new thing non totally electronic out there that even can be mention in the same thread as radio head that i've heard
but "wolf:" is kind of like, idunno the "almost normal song", dry drunk emperor & staring at the sun bear repeated listening that get better and better, louder and louder.... YES@!
i reccomend a good , loud set of monitors lol... to discourage any attempts at conversAtion other than monosylables so the lyrics can be heard >:P
both bands are thinkers with unique ways of saying the same thing so you don't reconize right off.

Yea. what do you think of the new Thom Yorke? I have it but it sounds weird, some of it anyways... like woo woo alien weird (track "Skip Dividend").
cheers
The new Thom Yorke, I downloaded the MP3's to see if I'd like it, but it was too weird. My tastes have changed too much from Kid A, and Amnesiac to be able to aquire Thoms musis now. I think Thom is one of those people who feels they can never do the same thing more then once. If he did he would be "selling out" So, he kind of pushes the envelope, and honestly he pushed it too far from me. I love flowing melody's and rythyms that can be heard throught Ok Computer, but the jerky electronic noise that has been progressing in Thom's musical evolution kinda turns me off. I think Thom also is a little too depressed to be healthy listening for someone as predisposed to depresion as myself. I seem to be doing pretty well keeping myself aware of the world at the same time listening to the mindless good natured music that is american radio. It's nice to stumble across a link to "Letdown", give it a listen, and remember in 1997 where Ok Computer was in my stereo for the better part of a year, and I listened to it every night.
So I will agree, the new Thom Yorke is woo woo alien wierd.
Feedbaxlow: Whats the animation? Something you came up with?
feedbax
feelin' the trax
may be low
or may be high
but just enough to make him cry
- [lyrics on that track + visuals was cool like thundercats]
out of joy
the word's my toy
but i don't play
& here's what i heard today:
'deep dish' - the album 'george',
curious, like twin towers:
'wilco', 'yankee hotel foxtrot' - moves slow,
but it moves, yo,
& what's flashy is the new 'cassius',
o those 'libertines',
from house to rock,
rock the house
or maybe
'clap your hands, say ya'
all good
holy moly - i spent 2 much money on music for a minute ... tis about time !
what do you think of the new Thom Yorke?
Friend of mine was listening to that and was telling me that the lyrics to it actually display an extreme level of awareness.
must mention Atlantis - new K-OS album
here's my opinion: if you love music - you might want to consider checking this out - it touches so much that i can't explain ... released in canada yesterday - selling @ HMV for $9.99 - not sure about US and EUrope / Asia release dates ...
this is not a plug or an ad - this is me speaking my heart
cheers
been listening to some new music lately ... nice to hear new stuff ...
i came across this recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAiDPEPn0Hs
it's XZibit (maybe i spelled his name wrong - pls. forgive), doing a performance on Letterman ... the thing i love about this how it comes across as a heartfelt song -- at least to me -- i think it takes a lot to be able to do this sort of thing - putting yourself "out there" ... that's part of the reason why i'm diggin' the Atlantis Album too - it's so honest and personal ... that's part of what makes it really beautiful to me ... anyways ... one lyrical line from this XZibit video, "without no you, there would be no me" <-- yes !!
Check out this awesome guitarist called Tommy Emmanuel.

Great catch visavis! They're such a great band. I also enjoy the song Street Spirit and its lyrics. Although I only really understand the last line. ![]()
Rows of houses, all bearing down on me
I can feel their blue hands touching me
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade outThis machine will, will not communicate
These thoughts and the strain I am under
Be a world child, form a circle
Before we all go under
And fade out again and fade out againCracked eggs, dead birds
Scream as they fight for life
I can feel death, can see its beady eyes
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade out againImmerse your soul in love
As for Thom Yorke's new CD, its pretty good. I like the song Eraser the most. The other ones are okay, but don't really vibrate with me.
Recently though, I've been listening to Dragonball Z soundtrack. It's all digital/instrumental and it's actually very, VERY good! I highly recommend it if anyone is looking for a different genre of music. Download is via bittorent here with a search.
Thanks Barefoot Doc for the Blast From The Past ![]()
Me and my mates saw Tommy Emmanuel live quite a few times, sooooooo good, we loved him. Long time ago. Thx!! [dancin']

Here is a great band i just discovered the other day, the vocals remind me of pink floyd on some songs and the guitars and song structure sound similiar to Tool and opeth.
