Topic: Cola drinks warning. Osteoporosis

http://funny2.com/water.htm

It seems to affect woman more than men but as cola is so acidic the
body is forced to leach calcium from the bones to neutralise the acid.
Add to that Fluoride which also causes osteoporosis and its obvious why this disease is getting out of control.

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.

I wish Coca leaf tea were legal here, its far safer than caffeine and does not wipe out your endrocrine system like that can, its non addictive and sounds like a nice drink in its natural state and is nothing at all like cocaine.

Re: Cola drinks warning. Osteoporosis

I'm sure most of you have heard of it, but for those who haven't, try yerba mate:   nice flavour, good zip, none of that caffeine crash and burn.  It contains matteine, vit c, along with lots of other good stuff.

Yerba tea aka coca leaf tea,  its not legal in the UK and would probaly be stopped at customs, but you guys in the US can buy it of ebay, maybe depending which state you live in i am not too sure.

Re: Cola drinks warning. Osteoporosis

You can purchase yerba anywhere in Canada.  It's being marketed in health food stores, tea shops etc.
I'm not sure about the U.S though.

... ?! Really? You're saying yerba mate is the same as coca leaf tea? Same leaf as they extract to get cocaine? I've always heard coca leaf was illegal in the USA.

Anyways, I can get yerba mate tea anywhere. Every "health" food store has it, and it can be ordered via the inter-web tongue also...

Edit (well I've edited the hell out of my orig message, hopefully for more clarity and quality info): Reference my favorite info sites:

I can't find a reference linking yerba mate to coca. I did see a reference to coca mate which is made from the coca leaf (the same ones as used in cocaine):

And anyways, back on topic to cola drinks and osteoporosis. Well duh. Cola drinks acidify the body, and if your pH varies by much then you die. Your body is really good at maintaining that balance, but besides breathing, it also uses minerals inside your body to maintain the proper balance... "Some alkaline minerals are calcium, magnesium, potassium, manganese, iron, and copper. Calcium is by far the most abundant mineral in the body. More than two pounds of calcium can be found in the body, most of it concentrated in the skeleton." (source) So if you are constantly acidifying your body, it may have to pull calcium out of your bones in order to keep your pH balanced and keep you alive. Or that's the theory...

Re: Cola drinks warning. Osteoporosis

Sinaptix, Sorry my mistake yerba tea is not coca leaf tea,   They seem to call many drinks Mate in SA smile which confused me.
As i say you cannot compare cocaine to coca leaf tea as its more healthy than coffee and not at all addictive, just a pleasent refreshing drink that gives a bit more mental clarity and a slight natural energy
feeling.
The real Coca Mate.

And poor diets and junk food probably means much of the leached calcium is never replaced.

Re: Cola drinks warning. Osteoporosis

Mate means gourd
the locals usually drink yerba out of gourds
hence yerba mate

As for acidity/alkalinity: I'd recommend a book called The Acid Alkaline Diet
(or something to that nature)
I thought I was a healthy eater, but it turns out that I was still consuming too much acidifying and acidic food.
Since adjusting my diet and becoming more alkaline (verified by testing urine with litmus paper), I've got waaaaayy more energy
and generally more healthy.
