Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

I had a post I made this morning in response to Lyra, but apparently in the thread move it was deleted.  I don't know if I have the energy to retype the whole thing, and it's probably not worth it anyway.

The short version, though:

Kinsei.......Your whole new age guru schtick of "Look within Lyra.....ask yourself why.....look within...." is because you mistakenly believe I had "dark fear" that I needed to explore, no?  Well as I have already said: There is no need to "ASK WHY" because there was no fear to begin with.   So for the love of Elmo, stop telling me to look within and ask why.  You sound utterly ridiculous by this point.  Moving on now, to enjoy the rest of the posts in this thread.

Lyra, if you say that there was no fear to begin with, then so be it.  But if that's the case, then I ask you to look at your initial reply in passages like this:

When I finally got to where I was going, parked my car and got out to walk around for a bit, I was struck with the most overwhelming feeling of panic and unease and anxiety that I've felt for any place.  Never experienced anything like it before.  Literally, ran back to my car.

When you use words like "panic" and phrases like "ran back to my car", are you really that surprised when someone interprets the presence of fear?

Regardless of your response, I would appreciate your refraining from the insults.  My suggesting that you introspect is not a deliberate insult, it's intended as a suggestion that you decided to interpret as an insult.  On the other hand, your assertion that what I'm saying is nothing but a "new age guru schtick" is most obviously intended as a deliberate insult, and it's unnecessary.

I am no guru in any way, shape, or form... and it is for that very reason that when someone points out something negative in my words or actions, that I take that advice to heart and endeavor to improve in the future.  I was merely attempting to do the same for you in this instance (something I would not have done had you not used words like "panic" in your post), and instead all I've received is derision in return.

I like it when someone tells me that the energy I've given off to someone inadvertently is negative, and/or when they point out a possible growth lesson for me to consider.  I've learned so much from so many people on this site through wisdom that falls exactly along this axis of growth.  Is this not supposed to be a bi-directional thing?

Once again, my interpretation of your emotional response of fear was based on the emotional emphasis of the words you used.  Can you put down your guard for just a moment, step back, and see why I may have interpreted you the way I did?

I'm willing to take credit for my misunderstandings that contributed to this mess; would you be willing to do the same?  I'm not trying to fight you, you know.

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

I can't believe this is still going on.  Montalk moved these posts because they were derailing LM's thread.   Then he apparently deleted both of our last posts because it was just off-topic nonsense......and here you've gone and recreated it to keep it going.

Okay, since you've gone through the trouble of recreating your post, here's an excerpt from my original response to your original post:

kinsei wrote:

You take my suggestion to introspect and insult me with it, insisting that you exhibited no fear at all.  And yet your very first reply regarding the PNW, the one that I responded to which started this whole mess, had passages such as the following........ These are your words, I've only merely added the bold for emphasis:

lyra wrote:

Yeah, and, that first hour of arriving in Portland was the one and only time I felt anxiety to that extent in the 4 months I was there.  By the second day - something I did not mention in my write up - I was ignoring the feeling.  I did what I normally do when in a bad situation - squelch it down, ignore it, tune it out, and keep going.  If I hadn't, then I wouldn't have been able to live there for 4 months.   So it's "my bad" for not mentioning that I was over it by the next day and ignoring it, which is an inadvertant inconsistency since part of the story has been left out.   But because I didn't mention that, you've just latched on to this and run with it like there's no tomorrow, assuming that I was in some sort of "darkness" fear panic or something.  I had anxiety, for about an hour.   Until my brother showed up, then it was on to moving in to his apartment and going into "squelch down" mode.

Okay....are we happy now?  Can we move on with our lives?    This is worse than the Energizer Bunny.  Our posts were deleted for a reason, but you just won't let it die.   Since you want to keep this going, do let me address several things here:

1.  Take responsibility for the fact that it was your choice to initially respond to my post about my issues with the NW.  Nobody made you post in response.   It was never about you.   Which leads to:

2.  My post that you responded to had nothing to do with you.  It was only about the NW.  But your posts, and your posts alone, turned this into a personal matter.   So don't even be whining about how I've gotten personal.  You got personal first.  Take responsibility for that.

3.  You continually used what I consider to be condescending language such as, "You should know better...." both to Lipstick Mystic and myself, as well as continually telling me "Lyra I just want you to....."  Maybe you're not aware how that comes across.   But who are you to go around telling anybody on this forum "I want you to..." ?   When I hear stuff like that, my first reaction is "Get the f*ck out of my face."  To put it bluntly.  I don't know you.  So don't be telling me what you want me to do.  It's so presumptuous I don't even know where to begin.   To give you an idea, I don't even tell my acquaintances "I want you to..." when they come to me for advise and are actually looking for me to tell them what to do!!

4.  Your reasoning to justify the chemtrails, ELF waves, etc. and so on that are going on in the Northwest comes across a bit like brainwashing.  I can't remember when I've last seen the kind of skewed defensive reasoning for such negative things as I've read in your posts here:

Kinsei wrote:

There is a lot of energy here; whether or not some of it may be contributed by man is irrelevant, because once the energy is out in the open, it can be transmuted according to the intentions of the people affected.

kinsei wrote:

For the people not aware of their intentions and thus less connected to Source, this area can be pretty difficult for them, because the ambient energy may overload them.  But for people who do have that spark and are aware of what's going on in the bigger picture, this area is a little slice of Heaven.

kinsei wrote:

Souls are called to this area when they no longer need to spend their lives in fear anymore, because then and only then will this area welcome you.

kinsei wrote:

If the only energy you sensed up here was low and depressed, then that's because you resonated with it.  If you give your focus to darkness, you will get that up here in spades.  But if you give your focus to light, you will also get that up here in spades.

kinsei wrote:

And the worst one of all:

kinsei wrote:

Lyra, I'm not denying the high weirdness here at all.  YES I see the chemtrails, YES I hear the ELF waves, YES to so many of those things.  And you know what?  When I first moved here, I experienced all kinds of problems as a result of those things... but part of my experiencing those problems was my own resonance with them.

Wow, is all I can say to that.  !!!!   For you, it's "ambient energy" that people need to "transmute" otherwise yeah, it just may "overload them."  And if you perceive strange vibes going on in the NW and notice the weird happenings then it means you're just full of fear and aren't able to transmute it, you're the one at fault here, and you're obviously not connected to the Source and lack that life spark.  But more importantly though, those happenings in the NW all "irrelevant" anyway.  wink  Nothing to see here folks, move it along!

Something seriously isn't right here, and it's the reason I'm not interested in listening to what you have to say or in furthering this discussion.

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

Okay, I'm going to keep this short and sweet.

Then he apparently deleted both of our last posts because it was just off-topic nonsense......and here you've gone and recreated it to keep it going.

Our posts were deleted for a reason, but you just won't let it die.

Could you lay off a little?  There was a thread move.  If all of our posts were deleted but not moved, then yes that would be obvious what the intent was.  But a new thread was made, and most of our posts placed into it.  How in the world do you expect me to assume that there wasn't just a simple mistake where those last couple simply got lost in the shuffle?  That was the only thought that entered my mind, that it was simply a mistake; if the entire thing was "off-topic nonsense" then why move it, rather than just delete it?

As for the rest of it:

1. Take responsibility for the fact that it was your choice to initially respond to my post about my issues with the NW.  Nobody made you post in response.   It was never about you.

I never didn't take responsibility for it.  Of course it was my choice.  Was I somehow at fault for deciding to respond to it?

2. My post that you responded to had nothing to do with you.  It was only about the NW.  But your posts, and your posts alone, turned this into a personal matter.   So don't even be whining about how I've gotten personal.  You got personal first.  Take responsibility for that.

Wait, so if I say anything in response to your very personal assessment of the PNW (as you were talking about your emotional reactions to the vibe up here), and make a suggestion to introspect why you feel that way, all of a sudden I've crossed a line and "gotten personal"?  I'm not asking this question in rhetorical frustration or sarcasm or whatever; I honestly want to know what kind of line I crossed, because to me this has always been an extremely personal forum (I've read, and divulged, feelings here of the sort that I've never read or written pretty much anywhere else), so this is really taking me aback.

Was it that my advice was unwelcomed?  Was it my specific tone (which I already apologized for, since visavis brought up that it sounded a bit too arrogant and I agreed with that in retrospect)?  Was it some other nerve that I hit?  I've said over and over and over again that I never intended to insult you, that my advice was meant with the best intentions, yet you keep acting like I was trying to hurt you in some way.

Maybe I did "get personal" first, maybe I crossed some kind of line and need to take responsibility for it, and if that's necessary then I'll do it wholeheartedly... but in order to do so and actually learn something from it, I need to know what that line is.

This next one is the big one I think:

Okay, I'm going to try something here.  I don't know if it's going to work.  But I have to hope that there's some way not just of making this argument go away, but of us somehow being able to be friends after all this is over.  I have to hope that.  So I'm going to try this.

Lyra, I can't look into your eyes over the internet.  But you know as well as I do that written words are no substitute for eye contact.  But if you're willing to allow it, please pretend that I'm standing in front of you looking you in the eye and speaking very calmly and honestly when I say the following:

Lyra, I am so sorry I made you feel this way, and I apologize.  I am sorry that my words did not carry the intent I was hoping to convey.  The last thing I want to do is make anyone angry or upset, and I was never trying to be in your face about anything.  Maybe we have different backgrounds that we come from, where for me a suggestion that may happen to contain "I want you to" isn't offensive if it's said in a suggestion made with good intent.  In my circle of friends, things like this are said and heard regularly, and it's never a problem, if what's said is well-meant.  Maybe that isn't the case for you, and if so, then I can see how it might come across and I sincerely apologize for that.

I won't respond to number 4 though, because on that one I'm pretty certain we're not going to see eye to eye, due to what appears to be a fundamentally different world view.  And that's okay; people are people and on that I can understand a need to "agree to disagree".  But for me, I can assure you it's not brainwashing, as I'm exactly where I need to be to learn the lessons I need to learn and my soul is at peace with that.  If you want to consider me to be some kind of brainwashed victim in this regard, that choice is yours and you're inclined to see me however you like.

I guess the main reason I've been carrying on this discussion is some kind of hope that there could be a resolution that makes me feel like I'm still welcome here. neutral

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

Hmm... the first line in that post said it was going to be short and sweet, but I guess it wasn't.  Well, not short anyway.  But hopefully somewhat sweet (I'm trying, I really am... can't we all just get along?)

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

I'm reminded of the Castaneda material where the technique of seeing energy allowed one to distinguish dream from reality, and tell apart real items in dreams (dream impostors) from mere phantom projections. Anything real generates its own energy, but dream objects and people lack that energy if they are just projections of one's own mind. So scale this up to the mass level where everything real is contributing to this consensual dream we call reality - if something objectively lacks energy, then it is not its own real thing, rather it is a projection of the mass mind or perhaps something jacking into the mass mind to project it.

Also this:

Each individual has his or her individual projection of reality coordinated by the Matrix. You are
the only living entity in your universe and the entities with whom you interact are the only living
entities in theirs. The Matrix coordinates all individual universe/realities, so that all interactive entities
perceive the same environment and interact on a sensory basis.

Some beings are sentient, others are barely so and are mainly software programs void of
individual realities who are used to populate your realities and create stories. You may eventually
perceive the difference between sentient entities and non-sentient ones. But this requires a high level of
vibrations and awareness. Sentient beings have an individual higher self (individual universes) whereas
non-sentient ones are direct holographic projections of the Matrix, and only appear within the realm of
projected light as a sentient being shines his or her awareness upon them.

thanks for the interesting link! Very hard stuff to read though...

Glad you found it interesting... I read that back in 2002 after a year of having researched the matrix concept and was creeped out by how much it mirrored my own theories at the time. There is another document, 33 Arks by the Nexus Seven, which is even harder to read but contains this:

12. The reason people continue to inhabit all the dimensions that split,
including the one they 'left', is complex. Firstly, the dimensional phase
mitosis using universal energies creates two 'equal' but differently temporally
vectored  earths as a mutual causal affair. Secondly, if your genuine soul
existence has left one reality you can persist in the quantum hologram reality
you left behind for another person or people who expect your presence, and you
may leave there the part of your soul that wanted to continue on that path while
you are now living a parallel life at the same present time but in a different
quantum phase space on a different path.

13. But you may only exist as a projection of their quantum intent, as a dreamed
person who yet is physical and seemingly separate all the same. In effect that
person grants the phantom 'shell'  you full physical existence in their real
world reality, to the point they create a 'real' you that you yourself may not
know or experience, since you, as a continuing point of focused consciousness in
a wave of quantum creation, are now gone. It is not as big a deal as it seems.

Also XzenTrico once posted about weird going-ons in Duesseldorf:

they" have been VERY successful in negative re-programming of humans. It is amazing how robotic people are here. I've been to other parts of Germany and also abroad and i must tell that the general mood in Duesseldorf is much much worse as in the areas, which are less "developed". My city is one of the best places to study such phenomena as organic portals, alien abduction, mind control, emotion manipulation...any thing. I am the lucky one to be a witness of the rapidly increasing alien influx in ALL spheres of business and entertaiment, i see it happening every day and it happens on a REALLY large scale.

The thing that often makes me wonder is how much of this weird stuff is "something wrong with reality" versus "normal part of reality we never noticed before or even now understand."

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

Aldo,

I used to live on the island (Fanny Bay area) and I had the chance to spend another two weeks out there this summer.  I just love how life slows down a notch or two once you get off the ferry - especially compared to the scene in Vancouver.  The first part of the trip was spent in Victoria catching up with old friends and it's definately one of my favourite Canadian cities.  For the remainder of the trip, we headed up island to Cortes and then back across the island to Tofino and surrounding area.  Good vibes for the most part and we didn't bump into any agros until heading back east through the mountains.  If I wasn't so set up in Alberta right now, I'd definately move back.  smile

Aldo wrote:

Lyra, you know what? The back and forth thread was good for me because it recalled something in my mind that I already
had forgotten.

I remember visiting my uncle in Vancouver, BC back in 2000, it was my second visit to my uncle. On this vacation,
my ex-girlfriend and me did not only made a trip to the Rockies, I suggested additionally to make a trip to Seattle. I used
to have good vibes on the US as I visited already some parts of your country before (end 80s, end 90s), and so I wished to make a trip to the Boeing facility and to the city of Seattle. Back In 2000, I never heard about conspiracies, chemtrails, mind control and all the stuff. I was the complete normal dude. But reading your experiences about Oregon and WA now it comes again into my mind that I clearly and definitely remember that I had no good feelings when we crossed the border and headed towards Seattle. In my opinion, Seattle was in comparison to Vancouver a complete different world. Not the buildings or other stuff, the feeling about it!

At that time I did not care about those negative vibes, did not pay attention, it was just a daytrip for me. But now I recall it. I was glad to cross the border again that evening. I don ´t know why, but I did not like Seattle and surroundings.

It's funny, but I keep hearing that geographic areas in Canada are all nice and shiny and pretty and feel good, versus their American city counterparts right across the border.   Seattle versus Vancouver;   Niagra Falls on the New York side versus the Caandian side;  Detroit Michigan versus Windsor, Ontario, and so on.  Cross the border and it's like being in a whole other world, apparently.  I've never been to Canada myself, so I can't attest to this, but it's what I keep hearing.   I heard from a fellow Noble Realmer that upstate New York is impoverished with a strange, negative vibe that's right on par with Portland Oregon, yet, I've also heard how Toronto Canada, just beyond, is supposedly great.

We were talking about this last night and the idea that emerged was, What separates these areas, besides the figuritive and invisible "borders" ?

Bodies of water.

Lakes and rivers.   Lots o' water.

In the book "Practical Psychic Self Defense" by Robert Bruce, he talks about how negative entities can't cross over bodies of water.  So if you're under attack and have one latched onto you, stand on top of running water, like a garden hose, or jump in the shower.   But get into a flow of running water.   Even standing on top of an underground water main is enough to do it, as the flow of water in the pipes still creates a natural energy that permeates to the surface.

And in all four areas mentioned above, there is water forming part of the border, whether it's an ocean inlet, a Great Lake, or a river.    And supposedly, there's a night and day difference when crossing over that water from America into the Canada side.   So I'm wondering if there's a connection there somehow......

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

Hi Aldo. And all. First post here.

I read your question about anyone visiting Vancouver Island more than a few days ago, and I had all intentions of creating a reply. Though that thing called life happens and I was drawn away into earning my keep for a while.

I've got a few spare moments here, so I'll try and give a condensed version of all the pictures flying about inside my head. (by the way, that photo you have posted above, where is that?)

I live on an island, very very close to Vancouver Island. I know exactly the feeling you get when you cross from vancouver across to Van Island proper. Imagine that feeling again, increasing as you take yet another ferry, across even more water to yet another island.  Maybe its something about distancing yourself from the cold cracked concrete of the cities and then immersing yourself in wilderness. Too many minds in one place perhaps. Too many vibes trying to occupy the same space in your head. Dischord and chaos. The further you get from an urban center the more harmonius your mind becomes. You leave the vibes of artificial creations behind (buildings, roads, malls full of consumer products) and start tuning into the natural vibrations from the plants, the animals, the earth itself. You leave the cacophany and begin to hear the symphony.

I also wanted to mention something when I first read your question, about the healing properties of water. Funny how if you wait long enough, someone else will do things for you wink

But look at that.... clock tells me its time to put my boots on so I can go put bread on the table.... unfortunate as things were beginning to coalesce and crystalize into some semi coherent thought tangent.

I am programmed to emit good vibrations

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

I was in upstate New York house hunting in the late 80's. Though I found some really nice houses the vibes of the area just turned me off. There was something that just felt oppressive and "wrong." I have been up from Maine into St. John's Canada, and felt a real positive change, it was kind of a downer coming back into the US.  For me a really bad place is Cario Il., my husband works there teaching school. The first time he took me there I felt like something hungry lived there, waiting to feed on anyone that was unwary. Venice is an intersting place in the winter when you can feel her clearly. With all the tourists the rest of the year it is a bit overwhelming.

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

This US/Canada border things interests me. I live in Minneapolis, MN and I really like the vibes here. Everything feels good around here. I very rarely experience bad vibes in this city, not even in the bad areas of north Mpls. Maybe there's some exception here to this "rule" of cities south of Canada having bad vibes. Could be because it's right in the center of the US, whereas Seattle and New York are on the coasts; however, Detroit's right over here, too. I'm not sure what Canadian cities are above Minneapolis.
Also, I've made several trips to the boundary waters on the US/Canada border. I've definitely noticed better vibes in this area. Often on these trips I cross the border several times, and in my opinion the US side feels better. Has anyone else had any experiences in this area?
The water protection from bad vibes really explains the tropical islands near the equator. I've been to Hawaii and there were the best vibes I've ever felt. I imagine other islands like the Caribbean have great vibes for similar reasons.

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

I lived on Guam for 2yrs and the vibes there, even though its surrounded by water, is depressing. It  is beautiful, but you have a Navy base, and an Air Force base, and the atrocities and such that took place there during WW2 have left it with lower vibrations.

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

Yeh... I lived in South Korea for three years.  Although it's not surrounded by water completely, it is a peninsula and the vibes there were not so hot either.  I felt a very strong oppression on my crown chakra and would get these crazy headaches all the time for no reason (I never get headaches... unless there is a hangover involved wink  ).  It wasn't so bad if you got away from city centres and heavy pollution and deep into the mountains at a temple or something.  Of course, I'm sure a lot has to do with the fact that the country was torn in two.  Also, it was the first place I experienced little shadow critters in such abundance.  Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my time there - just happy when I came home and realized what I'd been missing.

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

I'm currently living in Charlottesville, Virginia, and our local metaphysical newspaper called "Echo" ran an article for this month's issue about Charlottesville and its amazing energy and how it's considered a sacred site.  There are multiple articles written by various people in this issue about how they came to live in Cville, and their personal impressions of how it feels.  And everybody is saying what I was saying when we first arrived here..............it just feels good here, amazingly "light" and positive.  But very very light.   It's the nicest area I've ever experienced in all my travels and the places I've lived.  The only other place that I've been to here in the U.S. that felt this good was when I was sitting 10,000 feet up at the top of Sandia Mountain, in New Mexico.  wink  It felt so fantastic up there that I never wanted to come back down.  And back then I wasn't in tune with my psychic 6th sense, so it wasn't like I was looking for it or anything.  But there was no denying how good it felt on the top of Sandia.

Charlottesville is apparently considered sacred due to ley lines that run through the area and natural energy vortices all over the place.  It's why Thomas Jefferson put up the big dome rotunda on the college campus he founded (the University of Virginia).   He knew exactly what he was doing, as many psychics in the know have pinpointed UVA as having something like three energy vortices on campus.

This whole area is something else.  I can't imagine living anywhere else now.  I'm only here because Tom had once passed through the area on the way south to Florida, and was struck by how amazing it felt here.  He passed on the enthusiastic recommendation, and when I heard about it, I just knew...that's where we were going to move next.  I did a little bit of research about it online and it felt right.  Like there was a green light and big tug to go.  I'd never even THOUGHT about Virginia in my entire life either.  !  Never crossed my mind.   In the Echo newspaper, there were similar stories.   People trying to figure out where they're supposed to be or where they should be going next, and the word "Charlottesville" popped into their mind or synchronistically was suggested to them.

We're in Albemarle County, but I have a mechanic that I go who's located way out in Greene County.....you have to get on Route 33 wink and head straight for the Blue Ridge Mountains, as if you're going to Shenandoah National Forest.  He's way out there, but I love it.......it's an excuse for a scenic route like no other.   My car needs fixing and it's like, Darn, snap, guess we'll have to make the scenic drive towards the mountains. wink  Roadtrip!  Woohoo!   big_smile

On the flip side, last night I was thinking some more about South Florida, where I used to live.  They have absolutely gorgeous beaches - in fact, I remember reading a Top 10 list of the best beaches in the U.S. and fully 5 of them were all in Florida alone - but the vibe there isn't good.  It's not all out negative, like some areas I've been to, and certainly not enough to have triggered the level of anxiety I felt when I first rolled into Portland Oregon.  But, it's still not good.  And I think the biggest part of the problem is the people.   All the Northeast transplants who've relocated like a virus down there.   The people there are intense, no exaggeration, the most vile, rudest, hateful awful people I've ever seen in action, and 2 1/2 years of being around people like that changed me, BIG time.   Just cold, cold, nasty people.   Blank, hateful, stone faces staring back at you.   Flat, no personality, like the interior landscape.   Go out of their way to hurt you, and be vile.   I met more than one person who deliberately would go around wiping the smiles off faces, with a demonic vibe driving it.  I know the area where I lived, Fort Lauderdale, is a very transient area.  But still.  That's no excuse.  I was at a loss to explain how people could be like that when they're surrounded by white sand, turquoise water, year round warm weather, blue skies and white puffy clouds and palm trees.   Then I realized that a good chunk of these miserable nasty people are transplanting down from the Northeast.........which has bad vibes.  New York.  New Jersey.  And so on.   I have very few positive things to say about the Northeast, so, yeah, that might explain part of it.  But there certainly has to be more.   South Florida is very STS, it's all about money, glamour, partying, sex and vanity, me me me me me me, what can you do for ME.   It's funny but here in Virginia, you turn on the radio and here like, local college music and blues grass fiddle and banjo.  In South Florida, you turn on the radio and are bombarded by ads for strip clubs, porn shops, sex hormone pills, penis enlargement and breast augmentation surgery.  And worse.  I've never encountered anything like it.  Even Socal wasn't that bad with the sex stuff.  wink  I was talking to two of my coworkers about it all when I was still living in Florida, telling them that only in Florida is it like that, and taken to that level.  Both of them, a younger white guy and an older black woman were like "REALLY??"  Honestly surprised.  They guy - who'd never been anywhere else other than one trip to Alabama - laughed and said, "I just thought every place was like this."

Um, no.  big_smile

There's also some heavy duty "street theater" going on down there.   LOTS of crazies and weirdos, every time you leave the house to go someplace.  It was like being under seige every time I went out.  Even just sitting in your car at a red light.....that was classic time for harassment.   You don't even want to look at the people in the cars around you.... a bit like New York, no?  And where is the huge chunk of South Florida's population coming from again?  hmmmmmmmm.....  Moved here to Virginia, and it's calm as can be.

Anyway, just some random musings, inspired by reading an article this morning about the positive vibe and energy vortices of Charlottesville....

Re: The Vibes Of Different Places To Live

I"ve read these posts with interest, because I used to think much like many here.... "if only I could get myself into the right location, my life would work and make sense!"  But in my experience, its a moot point. Sure, sometimes we are 'guided' to be in one place or another and that guidance comes through our feelings. But it never has anything to do with the particular place.

We all too easily forget, that we only attract to us the people and life situations that mirror our internal state
.

IT DOESN"T MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE. If you are human and living somewhere on the planet, you will attract hell if you are hellish inside, and you will attract bliss if you are blissfull inside. No exceptions! (although there is a buffer of time between what we project and what we experience as reality).

In 1995, I was strongly guided to move from Cape Cod, Massachusetts to Scottsdale, Arizona - both beautiful places but as different from each other as two different planets. It was a move that profoundly changed my life, but in my spirit it was like a 'green light' went off as my internal yearnings and synchronistic events lined up to point the way. But it wasn't easy...  I was like a fish into the frying pan in terms of my personal changes and challenges. For years, I questioned why my higher self had put me in this place, and I questioned my own clarity of perception.

But, in hindsight, it all kind of makes sense now. There were important lessons for me to learn and integrate and we always get exactly what we need for our own personal evolvement, in the time we need it. And, it's not always pleasant going. There is plenty of higher consciousness awareness in Arizona, but also what might be labelled 'pod people' in droves, but I suspect that's true for whatever area you are in. Remember, 'pod people' are involved with their own evolutionary journey too, and those of greater spiritual awareness provide an important 'entrainment' and balancing function in any given community. And when you get right down to it, whose to say who is the student and who is the teacher?! A good measure of humility will keep us on a healthy path.

Also, cultural stereotypes can be completely bogus. I always (subconsciously) thought of the deep south as somewhat 'backward' due to the racial attitudes of the past, etc. Yet, I recently have gotten to know someone from Birmingham, Alabama and have made a couple of trips there for some extended time this fall and I never suspected that that area would have such a vibrant, higher consciousness community of loving individuals, well versed in the mechanics of consciousness and metaphysics. Yet, it does!  Right there in the heart of the traditional 'Bible Belt'.  But I'm realizing that I'm attracting myself into these situations because of where I'm at in terms of my own consciousness, and not because of any other outside circumstances. Alabama is still Alabama and Arizona is still Arizona. And people are people!

But the wonderful adventure of life is that we always get to choose. I"m still here in the Phoenix area, but lately, I"ve felt  a restlessness that is making my spirit yearn to live in a much smaller community, out in the country. Something more authentic, healthful, and less 'homogenized'. So, my higher self may be preparing me for a move in the near future and I'm 'paying attention' as I strive to be mindful of what I wish to create for myself.  But one thing I've learned in my 11 years here, is that our lives are never about our external environments. It's about our inner state of being. It's never about events, other people or even geo/politics. It's about what we are creating through our own attention and focus. It is oh so easy to get distracted from the fact that we are masters of our own destiny. And, in truth, there is a big responsibility there and many people don't want it, and would rather put it on something or someone 'out there'.

So, I just offer this to those who can hear it. Heaven or Hell is ours to create wherever we are.   We should be humbled as to having been entrusted with such power.
