Within this group, at least 75% were pod people. About 15% were not, they were really cool, spiritually and psychically opened people with vibrant life sparks and individualized consciousness. And the last 5% were the anomalous OP’s or ET’s or just plain weird as frick negative critters who I would refuse to read for after about five minutes ‘cause their energies were so dark.
It is somewhat fascinating to encounter this figure you give from your experience, as it echoes similar figures I have read before. Specifically, I am reminded of Matrix V, published by Val Valerian and written by an anonymous man. I'm not sure if it has the information quoted on the trufax.org site, but I have the books at home so I can dig out a quote later specifically.
The thesis of Matrix V on this topic (and I am paraphrasing from about three years back, so pardon me if I'm off..) was that TPTB have intentionally engineered the world to be way-too-overpopulated, to the point that many of the new bodies in the past 100 years at least have been embodied by "lower" consciousnesses, such as animals. These were termed "minions". Because animals are so easily led, we have all of these humans with a "herd mentality". Their consciousness can become comfortable in human form, but ultimately it is yearning for its "cow-like" herd existence and to be led. The figure that The Author of MV presented was, I think, about 80% MINION population on the earth right now. This was part of his reasoning that the entire New Age concept of "the hundredth monkey" could never work, because different groups of "humans" are in fact entirely different sources of consciousness, ie we are NOT all the same monkey/collective consciousness. I believe this is a similar concept to OPs, but I have not read that material much.
I do not take MV as gospel, in fact I found many flaws in it, but it was one of the major "debunking" experiences of much of the New Age dogma I had been reading up until that time.
This concept is also echoed in Amitakh Stanford's article Are Humans Merely Sophisticated Programmed Robots?, which I found to be a very insightful overview of the utterly pervasive amount of control "programming" directed at our existences from every angle. Whether you agree totally with her conclusions or not, she describes very clearly many behaviors I have seen in what you would term "pod people".

I am intrigued that you state that you are "all for leaving the pod people to do what they wanna do". Of course I understand what you mean, but at the same time, I have been running into this issue very strongly in my own life for the past couple years. Because they seem to make up such a vast majority, they have a very tangible effect on my life, these "pod people". I work for them, I have many of them in my family, they are all around me everywhere. I recently posted another post about my experiences growing up in the 80s and 90s.

When you mention that out of all the thousands of people you've met, that you only have had about 50 genuine "aware" friends. I have met and interacted with far fewer people, and have probably had less than 10 genuine "aware" friends. I currently live with one, my fiance, but it often feels as though it is "us VS the world" and we both get so stressed out that we get on each others nerves a lot.
What I'm getting at is, the "pod people" exert a huge influence on the flow of my day-to-day life. I have been working diligently for YEARS cleaning up my own act, becoming healthy, doing spiritual work, trying to develop my creative work into something I could do as a career. However, I have had to consistently dumb myself down, censor myself, behave differently to appease "unaware" people. I do not take on their energy, at least intentionally, because I know what you mean about it "dragging you down". But how can you help but interact constantly with such people, unless you are in a position to really move yourself somewhere else? Many of us, I'm sure, are pretty "stuck" where we are, and if "pod people" are everywhere, where can anyone really go to avoid them and their influence?
I feel as though America is a country of pod people, and we were born into it and have been raised under the "pod rules". Do you see what I mean? I was subjected to pod rules since an infant. I had no decision on even what to study in school until I got to college, so you can pretty much write-off up until age 18 as a very much "pod lifestyle" being lived by an extremely unhappy "aware" person.
My aspirations are "non pod" (live off the grid, biodynamic farming, renewable energy, self-sufficiency), however I have tons of student loan debt and no money... and I can only seem to find jobs working for "pod people". "Pod people" have never shown any interest in my sound healing work or other creative work, so I have been unable to build anything into a profession. Its the pod people who are insisting I have to buy gas, and buy my food and clothing from stores, and be dependant on companies for my electricity and heat and water and sewage, and pay income taxes. I am working my hardest to empower myself and make new options for myself to get away from this system. It is a VERY slow process, because I am doing it by myself and I have basically zero financial power, which is a very big deal for the rest of the "pod people".
I guess all I'm saying is, I really feel as though the more important question is "when will the pod people become all for leaving US to do what we wanna do?" I'm not part of this herd, but if the herd stampedes I feel likely to get trampled.
