Hariri 'killed by suicide bomber'

A UN inquiry into the killing of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri has found new evidence that he was probably killed by a suicide bomber.
Its latest report says investigators believe a man who died in the February 2005 blast is likely to have detonated a truck bomb which killed Mr Hariri.

The report says new leads as to who was behind the attack in Beirut have been uncovered, but it does not elaborate.

Syria has denied involvement in the blast, in which 23 people died.

The report was delivered to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan on Monday by the inquiry's chief investigator, Belgian Serge Brammertz.

It reinforces earlier suggestions that Mr Hariri was assassinated by a large truck bomb.

Tooth clue

Investigators believe the man detonated about 1,800kg (3,960lb) of explosives from either inside or directly in front of the truck.

The document says a tooth found at the scene and believed to belong to the bomber had a distinctive crown, suggesting the attacker came from abroad, according to the Associated Press news agency.

It says investigators found 32 pieces of what are believed to be the bomber's remains, putting him between 20 and 25 years old.

A previous leader of the inquiry, Detlev Mehlis, accused Syria of obstructing the investigation.

The latest report says Syria's co-operation with the inquiry has been "generally satisfactory".

However US ambassador to the UN John Bolton said the latest report did not mean Syria was in the clear.

Mr Hariri's death triggered huge demonstrations in Lebanon against the Syrians.

Damascus denied involvement but eventually bowed to international pressure, pulling out its troops after nearly 30 years of military presence.

The UN Security Council is due to meet on Friday to discuss Mr Brammertz's latest findings.

Olmert tells ministers to end talk of negotiations with Syria

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Wednesday called on his cabinet ministers to stop making statements about possible negotiations with Syria.

"There is one policy on the Syrian issue and there are no negotiations with Syria," Olmert told ministers, meeting participants said.

"Whoever doesn't agree doesn't have to be in the government and I am not willing to have arguments on the Syrian issue through the media," the prime minister said.

Olmert was apparently referring to comments by Defense Minister Amir Peretz, who said Tuesday during a meeting of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that Israel should not rule out negotiations with Syria.

Olmert also criticized Sderot Mayor Eli Moyal, hinting that he had exploited the barrage of Qassam rockets fired at his town for political gain. According to Olmert, Sderot was granted full assistance by the state, and Moyal in turn attacked and slandered the government.

Public Security Minister Avi Dichter told the cabinet that the defense establishment has not provided the residents of Sderot and other communities near the Gaza Strip with a suitable response to the Qassam fire and must "adopt a harsher response."

Dichter is a resident of the southern city of Ashkelon, close to the border with the Gaza Strip and well within the range of Qassams. He said that there is no need to reoccupy the Gaza Strip, but Israel needs to mount operations that will deter the Palestinian Authority and Hamas from allowing Qassam fire to continue.

"We must strike where it's needed and extract a price. The government must adopt a new strategy in regard to Gaza and the ongoing Qassam fire," said the former head of the Shin Bet security service.

So what we have seen here, is that these 3 schoolshootings are connected when the system of triggerdates is applied.
As someone pointed out to me on another forum,  these type of events seem to come in "clumps" and I think that's because it is related to how this trigger system works. Especially the 555 and 911 based triggersystem gives dates close to eachother and even a switch between them, creating the (16 days) 7-4-7 based timeframe as first described prior to the July 7 London Bombings. ( explained in that thread). The start and end triggers based on 911 are forinstance only 3 days apart so anticipated events can get momentum on specific dates during a limited timeframe.

So the schoolshootings in Canada and Colorado both have the same event on the triggers: The Red Lake school shooting, showing a triggerswitch from 'awakenings' endtrigger to starttrigger.
The last one unveils the connction to the Columbine school shooting by applying the 'ascension' triggers.

Sheriff: School shooter sent letter to say sorry

BAILEY, Colorado (CNN) -- The gunman who sexually assaulted hostages at a Colorado high school before killing a student and then himself wrote a 14-page letter to a relative that apologized for events to come, officials said on Friday.

Although the letter mentioned suicide many times, it said: "This is not a suicide note," Park County Sheriff Fred Wegener told reporters.

Wegener said the letter didn't refer to Platte Canyon High School in Bailey, where Duane Morrison took six students hostage on Wednesday, or any other school.

Before killing himself, Morrison shot and killed 16-year-old Emily Keyes, after holding her and five other girls hostage, police said.

All the girls were molested, said Wegener. The sheriff didn't know "how much or to what degree."

Authorities found a semi-automatic pistol and a revolver on Morrison's body. U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives had traced one of the guns to the Colorado relative who received the letter, Wegener said.

Before he took the girls hostage, Morrison had gone up to a male student and asked about the identities of "a list of female students," Wegener said. He didn't know which, if any, of the girls he held in a classroom were on that list.

Investigators were aware of rumors that Morrison may have researched his victims on MySpace.com, an online community that allows users to post personal pages and network with friends, Wegener said.

Morrison shot Keyes in the back of the head as she tried to escape when SWAT teams burst into the classroom where he were holding her and one other student. He had released the other four students one at a time Wednesday afternoon.

Wegener has said he ordered the classroom raid to end the three-hour standoff after hearing Keyes and the other hostage screaming.

Morrison was using Keyes as a human shield when the officers stormed in, Joe Morales, executive director of Colorado's Department of Public Safety, told reporters Thursday. (Watch sheriff reveal what happened after the gunman was pinned down in a classroom -- 3:05

Keyes was taken by helicopter to a Denver hospital where she was pronounced dead.

On Thursday police released her photo and the last text message she had tapped out to her family as she was being held: "I love u guys." (Full story)

Bailey is not far from Columbine, where two students killed 12 classmates and a teacher before killing themselves in 1999.

Truck driver kills three girls in Amish school shooting

PARADISE, Pennsylvania (CNN) -- A 32-year-old truck driver walked into an Amish schoolhouse Monday, binding and shooting three girls execution-style before killing himself, police said Monday.

Seven others were wounded in the attack, which police said appeared to be a revenge killing for an incident that occurred two decades ago.

"It seems as though he wanted to attack young female victims, and this is close to his residence, that's the only reason we can figure that he went to the school," said Comm. Jeffrey Miller, Pennsylvania State Police.

The shooting took place at Wolf Rock School in Paradise, a school run by the Amish community with about 27 students in grades 1 through 8.

One of the children died in the arms of a trooper, Miller said.

The gunman, Charles Carl Roberts IV, was a truck driver, said Miller. He was not Amish. He had three children, and left several notes for his family "along the lines of suicide notes," Miller said.

Police said he had barricaded himself in the schoolhouse with two-by-four and two-by-six pieces of lumber.

Fifteen male students between the ages of six and 13 were released from the school, Miller said.

At least five young girls with gunshot wounds were taken to area hospitals, a spokeswoman said.

Gunman let boys go
Miller said that during the attack, Roberts apparently told students to line up in front of the blackboard. He began to tie his female captives' feet together. Then he let the boys in the classroom leave.

Miller said Roberts also allowed an adult female who was pregnant to leave and three other adult females who had infant children with them.

At the time he let them leave, the teacher was able to get out of the schoolhouse and alert authorities, Miller said. Miller said Roberts called his wife while he was inside the school. She said that he couldn't go on any more and he was getting revenge for something that happened 20 years ago. (Watch aftermath of deadly school shooting -- 2:00)

Lancaster General Hospital initially received three young patients, ages 6 to 15 -- one in critical condition -- and expects to receive three more patients soon, spokeswoman Kim Hatch told CNN.

Two were transferred to Hershey Medical Center and another to Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, while the fourth remains at Lancaster General, she said.

Another young female suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and right hand was taken to Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she was in critical condition before she was transferred to Children's Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Lancaster County's 911 Web site reported dozens of emergency vehicles -- including at least nine ambulances -- were dispatched to Bart Township shortly before 11 a.m. for a "medical emergency." The Lancaster County emergency communications Web site showed 20 incident calls listed to the normally quiet Bart Township at 10:48 a.m.

Shortly after the attack, men, women and girls in traditional Amish clothing gathered in small groups outside the country schoolhouse along a dirt road. Horse-drawn carriages could be seen in a nearby parking lot.

The attack was the nation's third deadly school shooting in a week.

On Wednesday, a 53-year-old man entered a high school in Bailey, Colorado, where he held several female students hostage at gunpoint. He shot one girl before killing himself seconds after a SWAT team stormed inside the classroom.

A high school student near Madison, Wisconsin, is suspected of fatally gunning down his principal on Friday, after he was disciplined for carrying tobacco and being bullied.
