It happened again......with my coworkers, saying stuff that lines up. My coworkers are a huge avenue for this to occur. This one is so bizarre though. I'm at my desk eating lunch, and hop over to www.ocweekly.com to read the online version of the indie newspaper The OC Weekly, (holdovers from when I used to live in SoCal!
) I decide to randomly click on the feature where they interview people every week to learn about their jobs. One week it was a chick who works at a tanning salon. Another week it was a guy who works as personal security for strippers who perform in people's homes. This week it's a dude who works in a record store. Record store....sounds interesting, so I click. And as I'm reading this line:
"...work at a record store...." (http://www.ocweekly.com/music/music/dig … per/25873/)
.....the woman who sits behind me says to another coworker, "....does 139 records sound reasonable?...."
The word "records" and "record" lined up at the same exact moment, and created a bizarre feeling of "is this really happening? It feels so surreal. For me to pick that exact moment to check out the OC Weekly site, and to choose that story out of all the stories to click on, putting everything into place like a chess piece so things would line up like that when they did...........it's unreal. And it happened last night as well. This one's weird as well, because I went to change my cat's litter box, and realized I was all out of extra newspaper. I usually have one or two extra Cville Weekly free newspapers on hand in one of the kitchen cabinets to use as floor liner, since my cat has a penchant for flinging litter everywhere and peeing so close to the back corner that she misses and accidentally pees on the floor
but, alas, I seemed to be out of newspaper. Doh! But that's when Tom, who's like, a foot taller than me
noticed Hey, there's some newspapers on the tip top of the stacked washer/drier unit. Yay! I would never have seen them, since I'm short. So he pulled those down for me, and I put them on top of the washing machine lid while I got everything set up to change her litter box. I then hear Tom making a joke about "......reality creation....." off to the side, right as my eyes fall on the Cville Weekly paper's column called "Reality Bites." The word reality lined up at the exact same moment creating that surreal feeling.
And now in looking back over both incidents, it involves the OC Weekly, and the Cville Weekly. Two indie newspapers for their respective local areas, and reading a word in these publications right as somebody next to me says it outloud. Reality, and Record. A record of reality. Record reality. hmm.
Dear God, What Does It Meeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaan???!?!?!?!
haha
