Topic: EFT: way ahead of traditional medicine

What REALLY causes disease?

I'm puzzled.

I was looking on prominent medical websites for the causes of various diseases and was mystified at what I found.

Take Rheumatoid Arthritis, for example.  Below is what WebMD.com gave as the cause of this crippling disease.  After reading it I didn't know whether to giggle or gag.  That's because they took two paragraphs of wobble words to say they don't know.

"The exact cause of rheumatoid arthritis is unknown, but it is thought to be due to a combination of genetic, environmental and hormonal factors. With rheumatoid arthritis, something seems to trigger the immune system to attack the joints and sometimes other organs. Some theories suggest that a virus or bacteria may alter the immune system, causing it to attack the joints.

Research hasn't been able to determine exactly what role genetics plays in rheumatoid arthritis. However, some people do seem to have a genetic or inherited factor that increases their chance of developing rheumatoid arthritis."

I count many physicians as my personal friends.  They are a dedicated group and you would think medical science would give them a bit more to work with than various versions of "We don't know."

Then I randomly looked up 3 other diseases and this is what I found...

"There is no known cure or way to prevent Parkinson's disease."
"The cause of Ulcerative Colitis is unknown."
"Doctors still don't understand what causes Multiple Sclerosis."

What puzzled me was that nowhere in my search was there any mention of such common sense causes as poor nutrition, lifestyle choices and unresolved negative emotions.  They're not even given honorable mention.

How strange!

It is well known, for example, that our shifting emotions change the chemistry in our bodies (often dramatically) and thus affect our immune systems.  Along these lines, here is a quote from the health section of womensmedia.com...

Re: EFT: way ahead of traditional medicine

Been doing EFT for just a few months now; life going in new direction already.

B sure to go to www.emofree.com and download the free intro booklet to learn how to do it right; deceptively simple/safe and effective if done right.

U have 100 billion nerve cells in your gut, same # as in your skull. It is literally a second brain. EFT heals the relationship between the 2 brains, unleashing your energy for creation. Thank god for Gary Craig!

Re: EFT: way ahead of traditional medicine

Found this today, little EFT quick reference:
http://www.carollook.com/emotionalfreedom/

She has a book called Attracting Abundance with EFT, which has a bunch of pre-setup exercises with EFT with all the thinking done for you on a variety of issues, so it's maybe an easy way for someone to dive into EFT with concrete examples. I just got it. I'm going to try to work through it in a month or less.

Re: EFT: way ahead of traditional medicine

I have downloaded Dr. Craig's Manual and tried his technique a few times but with no result. I would dearly love this to work and am wondering if perhaps I am doing something wrong.

Dr. Mercola has developed a slightly different version of the EFT technique and I have tried that one as well.

How long before you noticed results? Maybe my expectations are too high and I just need to give it more time.

Everybody has a heart . . . except some people!

Re: EFT: way ahead of traditional medicine

Ulcerative colitis and rheumatoid arthritis may both be caused by parasites.

Multiple sclerosis-like symptoms may be caused by the contrast dye that they
used to use in myelograms.  My mother got worse after they used that stuff
on her.  Apparently they don't use that dye anymore.
There was a thread on it called arachnoiditis.  Inflammation of the arachnoid
space in the spinal cord.

Re: EFT: way ahead of traditional medicine

I have experienced very few results with EFT, even though it sounds very nice. I have read the online manual, and was introduced to an EFT "practitioner" at a Reiki class a couple years back, who showed me specifically where and how to tap. It feels nice, and it is good sometimes to stop yourself in the middle of an emotional programmed-reaction, for example, and begin tapping your accupressure points. It can be distracting, and it seems to have validity when I read about it. Experientially, I don't feel like I've gotten anything out of it, and I have been practicing it off and on for about two years now, sometimes several times a day.
As for the idea of attracting abundance throught EFT, I have been scrambling to pay my rent every month for the past two years. EFT has not attracted any noticeable abundance this way, and yes I've combined it with affirmations and visualizations. I am honestly getting quite tired of all these subtle energy techniques that sound great and seem to produce ZILCH in experiential results.
It is not enough for me just to feel "a somewhat calm tingly energy" and then ascribe it to all types of heavy metaphysical effects, or my chakras clearing, or whatever. This stuff is beyond subtle, so as to be imperceptable. I have found this to be my experience with many energetic healing modalities. The cynic in me suspects that it is just more social engineering for white upper-middle class twits with too much free time who think that they can tap their way to resolving all their traumatic repressed memories that have kept them in chains for years.. until they learned EFT! Man, the stories I heard from that practitioner...
Well, you can tell I'm a bit frustrated by it. Perhaps I should go tap my frustration away...

Ah Grasshopper, you must have faith, you must believe.

I have already prepared a place in the field to await the Great Pumpkin!
Won't you join me?

If you have doubts, then the Great Pumpkin will not come.

Re: EFT: way ahead of traditional medicine

Tom, you made me laugh out loud with that one, I feel much better now. smile
I have been listening to the Great Pumpkin Waltz by Vince Guaraldi quite often for the past few months..
it is a dance I am familiar with!

Re: EFT: way ahead of traditional medicine

Glad to be of service.
