Topic: finding a spiritual healer

So.....how do I find a decent psychic or spiritual healer?  I hear about attachments and such, and wonder if I have that.  I definitely have some negative compulsions that I battle with and feel controlled by.  It feels like I have some sort of self-destruct programming, or something.  I've read about people who go see someone, or just run in to them, and they can read auras or whatever and tell that a person has like a psychic wound, or negative attachment, or something like that.  I live in Nowhere, Montana and don't know how many of these sort of people are around.  And I think that if I could just look one up in the phonebook or something, that I'd risk getting scammed.  Anyone have any exerience with this?

Finding a purpose in life is an excellent way to counter self-destruct programs.
Do somethig good for others. Give your time to a good cause.

I strongly feel that by standing up in the light of true and sincere goodwill can block HAARP harmful effects and other STS manipulations.

keep your head up and you'll pierce the dark clouds hanging over your head.

Re: finding a spiritual healer

You could try this man, who's very skilled at working with the Angels, his name is Christopher Dilts:

He has a free teleseminar coming up and would probably be very informative to you, since all you need is a telephone.    You could probably get most of your questions answered by him.

I know him personally, he's a very nice person, and does care about his clients.

Re: finding a spiritual healer

You need to be very carefull in who you allow to mess with your energy body, some of these are very well meaning people but misguided and may end up doing you far more harm than good as many reiki practioners have done. They can bring external unbalanced energy fields into your psyche that they beleive are beneficial but may not be as they seem.

You have the power to heal yourself if you allow the belief and people who take responsibilty to heal themselves with intent always do better than the ones who hand that responsibilty to others in my experience.
I have no doubt there are many good spiritual healers out there but why not become one yourself to heal yourself as its  more rewarding, a great spiritual learning curve and safer.

Barefoot Doc, do you have any recommendations for good books or resources for those who want to learn and do this?

Hi Visavis, i can tell you some of the things that have worked for me and others but i want to stress how important self research, feeling and inflaming a belief and passion in ones own powers are in healing. Just taking personal action can bring on minor on miracles.

When i was in practice the bush flower essences worked really well in clients with emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances and Fringe Violet along with Angelsword when taken with intent will help the psyche rid of attachemnets and strengthen the aura to keep negative thoughtforms out.

If it was me in this situation i would take the flower essences and do some visualisations, as nature is formed from within to without i imagine pure energy from the one pure source which is emanating from my heart or assemblage point of the heart shining out like a mini sun lighting my whole body which i feel as a warm glow driving out any negative attachements.I feel this is good because i am not using exteral energy out there that i may not understand or trust but internal energy from the connection with source.

Thats just me, could be meditation, walking in nature, feeling love or whatever, taking an inner journey.

I have not that many spiritual books but i recommend the ones that talk about finding the answers within rather than without.

Eric Pepin of the Higher Balance Institute http://www.higherbalance.com  has techniques to bring about balance back into your physical body and also protection techniques against negative attachments. They are very easy and simple and you can incorporate it into your meditation. Its all about learning that the answers are within us, you just need to ask.  Barefoot Doc also offers very powerful techniques in his post.

I have some free sound healing meditations at http://www.truesoundhealing.com/soundhealing.html
You can also make your own with http://www.bwgen.com/, or at least experiment with some other ones, it is very basic but effective. I have found it to be a good meditative aid. But most important for me, it forces me to sit still for half an hour at least and quiet my thoughts, or direct them into affirmations. You can focus on sound the way you can visually focus on a candle flame for meditation. I like that too.
I agree that creating your own healing meditation is the best way, it is probably not a good idea to let other people direct your thoughts even if it seems like a healing modality. Always begin in the core of your being, centered, the light of your self radiating from the center of your being.. that is how I contextualize it lately. As opposed to constantly reaching out and connecting with higher forces, for example. I think it is also deceptive to get into a mindset of "higher" beings, even the ones who get called angels or masters. You have all you need inside.
I heard that like ten years ago of course, and I still had to read a million f-ing books and go through a ton of healing paradigms, to arrive back at the same conclusion. Probably best to just put down the books and go within.

Try reading "Power of Now" or "The New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle, especially the sections describing the "pain-body". I have been helped immensely by studying the work of this great spiritual teacher.
