What is spiritual death?

So I think the idea of fooling ourselves and of not realizing our own predicament is a more important theme to extract from these movies than "what does the after-life look like?" In general, soul atrophy and zombieness (i.e. the living dead) do describe a large part of society.
I agree with you about that.

I really want to hear your understanding about it because your statement, "I am saying that some stories might use physical death as a metaphor for spiritual death, yes." really confused me. 
If you could share your understanding of spiritual death with me, then I could understand what you were saying. The concept of spiritual death has always confused me. I would appreciate it a lot, I will look at those articles, thank you.

I believe it was the "25th Anniversary Edition" if that helps. Amazon does show a different version also available called "The Version You've Never Seen" which I'm guessing is the director's cut to which you refer.
Thanks, I'll check that out. It makes perfect sense to me that a reptilian would be present in that movie. I've come to the conclusion that organized religion is a trap that was engineered and created by the reptilians. If you want to see a movie that actually goes into detail about that, watch "Enemy Mine."

He isn’t dead, he’s dying and everything in the movie is a projection from this unconscious state.

At the end of the movie, as he walks up the stairs into LIGHT, that’s when he dies.

If you could share your understanding of spiritual death with me, then I could understand what you were saying. The concept of spiritual death has always confused me.

THAT is what I mean by spiritual death. Others are free to have their own definitions.

Jacob's Ladder is da bomb. Especially the scene with the operating table and a doctor who asks, "where is it that you'd like to go?" The question is an open one, and most people have absolutely no idea where they want to go after this life. For me, all I want to do is retrace my path back to a specific point and expand my awareness from there.
And I'm willing to be patient for a period of time. Let's say, the rest of my life.

Another movie I saw a long while back was "Final Approach," and I'd say more but I don't want to hand out any spoilers. Not released on DVD yet even though the movie was made in 1992. First digital movie.
Virtually nobody even heard of, much less saw this movie, but it had one of my favorite actors (Hector Elizondo in probably his best work) in it. Definitely worth a look if you can find it.
The book "War in Heaven" has some fascinating insight towards the AfterLife. Don't walk into the light, and don't let any spirits touch or grab you upon your crossover.
I also have this e-book for those interested. I wouldn't say I agree 100% with everything mentioned, but the basis for the spiritual world resonates deeply within me.
Hollywood and the whole cinematic industry, according to me, is fuelled bu the same forces tht want to revert back our consciousness into the old image visionary clairvoyance. The same forces that want us to go back into this ancient clairvoyance which makes us receive images passively, in a quasi-hypnotic oniric state, favors the development of mediumistic faculties, spiritism, visionary experiences, intentional out of body experiences, remote viewing, etc.
Steiner said that movies hurt very much the etheric body, that it is one element of the 'programme' to harden and mechanize humanity, to make it more materialistic.
I would say that even if the movei involves life after death, it gives a materialistic picture of the after life.
recently that Dick Tracy could be a mind control film, for numerous reasons: the colors are special and can be linked to program coding, Madona plays in it (she might be one monarch slave), Warren Betty is the brother of Shirley Maclaine.
Shirley Maclaine was used to propagate new age dogma. she would be such a mind controlled individual. She had visions with a friend David of a beautifk angelic being telling her that 'the higher self is God, that God is within and that we are all powerful and perfect already yet we don't know it'. New age egomanicac BS.
Many new age adventurers and influencial writers rely on such sources as visions and ypnotic regression in past lives. This gives cinematic-like experiences, that is clairvoyance in images, or the old kind of clairvoyance that we should not revive because it endangers the development of our ego which needs to base its knowledge on hards facts in relation to the outer objective world, not on visions (illusions, cinematic virtual images which pose themselves as reality but are only a simulacra of reality: this is the eight sphere standard). the ego is in danger to fall prey to eight sphere's clutches of illusions.
So I really do distrust the way movies narrate the life after dead because movies, particularly Hollywood movies, are propaganda tools. They serve a completely wrong knowledge of life after dead and reincarnation. The movie Birth, with Nicole Kidman, is one really suspect movie to me, knowing that Nicole might be used to sell (propagate) a flawed version of reincarnation (in this movie, she's in love with a kid who is the reincarnation of her dead husband. This is BS. This cannot happen here on earth but only in the heads of flawed investigators relying on atavistic clairvoyance, linking their innermost soul to the eighth sphere. Kids aying they are this or that dead person are just relating memories they relate to in the Akasha. This is not the memory of their own ego experience in any past life. I'd say that Hollywood is pretty well controlled airtight by the illuminati, and these people generally do not have our best interests at heart. I could be wrong.
Remember that the race they are trying to create out of us is clairvoyant. Borg, but clairvoyant and 'gifted'.
