Topic: Pendulum Divination...

Just thought I'd share this and pass it on to NR.  This weekend I bought a pendulum for dowsing / divining answers and information.  A long time ago I was totally skeptical of this, totally just thought it was the person making it swing to whatever they wanted.   I was like, "Oh come on!  They're just moving it around themselves!  pssshh!"  big_smile  (but yet I was way into Tarot cards, had no doubts about that!  haha)  Plus I think I tried it out and it didn't work for me, but that's no surprise, I was a very different person back then, so it's no wonder.   But now things have changed, and I've had a very strong draw to buy one for probably about 6 months now.   And finally it became so strong that I caved in, couldn't ignore it anymore.   Our local new age bookstore / shop downtown has a bunch of them, made out of wood and semi-precious stones, of all kinds, small and large.   I love all the semi-precious stone ones, but I've had my eye on one particular Rose Quartz pendulum.  It's beautiful - smooth, pale pink, six sided on a silver chain.  I just knew that it was going to be mine eventually, and this weekend when I went to buy it it was marked down from $18 to $6.   Big July sale!  I had no idea.  I lucked out.   Guess it was meant to be.  wink

When I tested it out in the store it was already working.  That's pretty much why I went through with buying it.   Kind of surprised me actually.  It gave me a clear definitive "Yes" and "No" pattern, then even gave me a couple of answers.

I've used it several times this weekend with continued fantastic results.  It feels like being in a groove when using it, like maybe channeling or in a slight trance.

I've done no research into this before buying one, which is good because I like discovering stuff on my own.  The only thing I knew going in was that you have to of course establish what "Yes" and "No" will be.   For me, what I've noticed is that when an answer is clearly yes or no, then I get very loud definitive yesses and no's.   When it's more like "Well....sure....sort of....I guess....ehh...." then it's a very tiny "blip" of a yes.   That's not very often though, but it's also not surprising when I do get those considering what the questions are.

I've also on several occasions gotten very clear "Yes No's".    Where the pendulum swings quickly between "yes" then "no" then "yes" again, etc. making sure I get the picture that there's more to the question then I initially realize...so ask more....look deeper into it.     Or it'll swing in such a way that it's literally in between a yes and no.  Again, it's not common though, so when I get that it seems to mean something.

All in all I've been really pleased.  I expected it to be a little screwball, but it's not.  I'm able to determine what's Yes and No right away, and it's very defined, and it sticks to that.   Yes so far has almost always been straight up and down, (vertical) while No has usually been counter clockwise circles.    Surprisingly I haven't had it give me screwy results like I half expected, where it swings side to side, or something really weird that's nothing even close to what Yes and No has been determined to be.

What's fun too is actually watching the pendulum go from swinging vertically for a yes, then, slowing, and coming to a complete stop and then going into a No circle.    !!    It's just so trippy!   It just does NOT feel like I'm the one moving it, although I'm sure I am, or else it's being governed by my Higher Self or something.

Even more weird and trippy are the several times I've asked a question and had slow to a complete stop.  Nothing.    doodeedoodeedoo.   lalala.  Just hanging there.   !!!  That's not often either, but again, considering what I was asking I find it VERY interesting indeed.

It's also neat asking the same question 2 or 3 times, to double and triple check throughout a session, and continually get the same answers, over and over.

Anyway, just wanted to pass it along.  It may not be for everybody, but I think for some people it's a good method for getting in touch with your higher self.   I also think people are drawn to stuff like this "when the time is right".

Re: Pendulum Divination...

Indeed, lyra, "when the time is right". I had a very similar experience with a pendulum, having no interest in it prior, feeling much the same as you used to. It was suddenly an idea for me one day, which I dismissed as ridiculous at first. It stayed with me for months, and I even HAD a pendulum in my possession as a gift from someone years ago. When it was given to me, the friend didn't say it was a pendulum, actually, just a pretty crystal on a chain that she thought was antique. But it worked perfectly as a pendulum.

I just decided to use it one day (having cleansed and programmed it), after months of pushing the thought away, and my experiences were very much as you described.

The sense of connection was immediate, and the response felt strong... at an energetic level? I guess that's how I'd describe it. I knew there was more going on while it was working, it and I seemed very much "in a groove".

Because it seemed to work so well, I actually investigated use of one online and found an alphabet and numbers chart to use with a pendulum (have no clue how to find it again, this was about 5 years ago now, unfortunately). I did the chart thing for a while, too, got some very clear answers to things I couldn't possibly know otherwise, and was overall pleasantly surprised and enhanced by the experience. A pendulum does seem best suited to yes/no, however, and so there was some gibberish at times to get through with the chart.

I stopped at some point when it just felt right to stop, oddly enough. That's as best as I can describe how it ended. As though I knew it's time was over, the energy would likely not be right anymore, and I lost interest in trying it.

Cool!

Re: Pendulum Divination...

Hi Sowelu, thanks for the response.  smile  I think I'll look into the alphabet chart.  It'll be the closest I ever get to channeling.  big_smile   If I have any luck with it, I'll post an update.   Thanks again for sharing your experience.

Re: Pendulum Divination...

I've used the pendulum for many years, but went off it, for no particular reason.  Thank you Lyra for reminding me, right after I read your first post, I went and got my yin/yang pendant and got answers to a couple of questions I've been worrying about.

I got the answers I wanted big_smile

Actually that reminds me......the interesting thing about this whole thing is that I don't get the answers I may be expecting.  !   Which is pretty cool, just tells me that it's actually a pretty valid method.  If it only says what I expect to hear then that's pretty questionable.   I won't always hear what I expect, but if I double, triple or quadruple check it, the answers will remain consistent.

For instance, (and yes, this may seem like a silly goofy thing to ask...blush...) but I asked if my kitty is a reincarnation of any past pets or animals I've been in close contact with.  I figured the probability was high, but at the same time, I couldn't begin to guess who she would have been.  She doesn't have a personality like any past cat or dog I've known.

The answer was actually No.  All 3 or 4 times I asked, it was a clear No.

Interesting!  I also asked if she would ever come back to me after she died.  Don't like to think about that, but it's inevitable.  The answer again was a No, she would be moving on.

I asked a few questions pertaining to her evolution, all of which were interesting in themselves.  I had a sneaking suspicion for instance that my cat's most recent incarnations were all as people's pets....including being a dog.   She just acts like a dog in many ways, like she's confused and has holdovers from her life as someone's pet Fido.  big_smile  She does this thing where she'll run, then drop down and roll over with her paws up in the air.   Not very cat-like from what I've seen of other cats.   So, I asked about it and got a very loud "YES" to that one, all the times that I asked.

What was hilarious was when I asked if she'd ever been a pet ferret.  big_smile  Yes, laugh if you will, but my cat is a very confused cat indeed, and her original name was actually Ferret, not Kitty, because as a kitten she was so obnoxiously ferret-like, always moving her neck all around and being squirmy like a ferret.   Even my brother saw it and we both indepdently came up with "Ferret" as her name.   The pendulum answer?   "YES!"

big_smile

Who knows, but it's funny to imagine.

I have yet to delve into some of the more serious topics, such as abductions and whatnot.  The one thing I did broach relating to that had disturbing results.  The degree of "Yes" or "No" helped steer my line of questioning, and things weren't quite what they initially appeared to be.   In fact, it was a bit worse.  It involved the VERY Illuminati-owned hotel I recently just worked at, which an intuitive member of NR kept warning me about from Day 1.  As soon as she heard I was working there she immediately was struck with bad feelings of neferous activity, and cautioned me on 3 separate occasions about it, both over the phone and in email.  She turned out to be more right then she could have ever imagined.   My line of questioning pertaining to this issue and a barely half-buried subconsious recollection of something only opened up a Pandora's Box of more questions and implications, so I gave it up and went to bed.   Will resume it again at a later date.  But I feel that this is the reason I've been pushed to try the pendulum....get answers to those particular topics.  The "Big Stuff."   Of course, it's obviously more fun to ask if my cat was ever a ferret. big_smile  "Was kitty....a DOG??.......was kitty....A SQUIRREL???....was kitty.....a WOMBAT????......"  haha!

Also, I've thought some more about using the letters and numbers chart along with the pendulum and I've decided against it.  I've always been dead set against channelling for myself, as well as anything that's even remotely related to a Ouiji board.  In my opinion it's dangerous, and as soon as one steps into that territory it's broadening the possibilities of what can get through.   When it's just "Yes" and "No", and you specify that you only want to communicate with your own subconscious or higher self, then it keeps other stuff at bay.  There's not much a malevant entity can do when its only options are Yes and No.   They're like, "BOO!  BOO!   This sucks!  BOO!  I'm atta here!  BOO!"   haha

Will post more later, when I discover more.......

Re: Pendulum Divination...

I just came across "The Pendulum book" which included a pendulum with it ... it was in a little shop for five dollars so I picked it up.   So far I've only read a couple of pages and haven't really gotten to figure it out yet.  Any major pointers?

Well first off, congratulations!  That's cool that you bought a pendulum!

For me, I just dived right into it without reading anything on it first, cause I'm just like that. big_smile  It just naturally fell into place and immediately worked for me, after 6 months of a growing urge to buy one.  So partly I think the time has to be right, for starters.  It certainly helps if you've felt an increasing urge to use a pendulum.   That's something trying to nudge you in that direction, which probably will help ensure success with it.

As far as pointers are concerned, start off of course by asking what will be "Yes", "No" and "Maybe."  Or whatever type of answers you want to use.   The pendulum should hopefully give you a clear response for each.   I've always consistantly gotten a vertical line for Yes, a counter-clockwise circle for No, and a horizontal back and forth line for Maybe, but I'm sure it's different for everybody.

I started straight out launching into questions, no practice or anything.  That's what determined me buying it - it was already working for me in the shop before I even bought it, much to my surprise.   Do what feels right for you though.  If you feel you need practice, then practice.  One way you can practice is work with somebody else and have them for instance hide an object somewhere in your house / apartment.   Then quiz the pendulum to find out which room it's in.  Tom and I did this, and had luck with it.   It's a good, easy way to verify whether it "works."    What's funny is that Tom hid the object in question in the bathroom, but originally was going to put it in the laundry room, and so even after putting it in the bathroom he kept thinking laundry room.  My results said laundry room. big_smile   Weird.  The second time he hid the object it correctly gave the answer as well.

I guess another pointer would be to not think of things in terms of the "pendulum" giving you answers.  It's not the pendulum itself, it's your own higher self / subconscious, speaking to you through the medium of a pendulum.   So when asking questions, try to keep that in mind and strive for that connection with your own self;  think about the fact that you already know the answers.  Now you'd like to tap into them, gain access to what might normally be blocked off.   smile

In essense, you're "talking to yourself."   big_smile  But it's fun!

For me, I can feel that sometimes, the connection is being hindered or blocked in some way.  It doesn't happen frequently, but I have had it happen.  But this means that you should be able to feel that there's a "connection" of some sort happening when you do it, like being "plugged in."  It's hard to explain.  But you should feel something like that.   After asking a series of questions, then stopping suddenly, it truly feels to me like unplugging from a trance-like state, and re-surfacing again out of the water.   Then I'll go back to asking questions, and I can literally feel myself plugging back in and slipping back under the water again.  It's pretty cool!  smile

Re: Pendulum Divination...

I bought a pendulum recently, too--the buying of it being motivated by this post.  I found an attractive dark, wood one.

I haven't been travelling with it, but leaving it at home mostly.  For fun, I did use it to calibrate G.W.'s level of consciousness (using Dr. David R. Hawkins' Map of Consciousness).  According to my reading, G.W. calibrates at about "175," which, according to Hawkins means that G.W. spends most of his time being angry.

I found that holding a shorter length of cord works better than a long one for me.  I receive answers with the longer cord, but it takes longer to register an answer.

A technique I also use for "Yes/No" type of answers is the so-called psychic gauge.  All you do is close your eyes and imagine a gauge like a speedometer.  If the imagined needle lists toward the left in response to your question then the answer is no; if the needle moves to the right then the answer if yes.

http://research.compaq.com/SRC/juno-2/figures/Speedometer.gif

I like this technique because it allows you to feel out weak noes and strong noes, weak yeses and strong yeses.  Of course, you can do that with a pendulum, too.

The pendulum is exterior and tangible, too, and sometimes it's easier to be certain of information that has come from an exterior event rather than from an interior sensing.

I like both approaches...

but you can avoid its teeth.

That's exactly what it says at the beginning of the book I just picked up... hold the cord just a couple of inches above the pendulum.

Re: Pendulum Divination...

Woohoo! My new selenite pendulum arrived today. What an absolutely beautiful stone, it's mesmerizing. I remember Pleiadian Healer had suggested it is good to announce/state that you intend to connection with your HigherSelf before you start a pendulum session, so I did that. Then I asked to calibrate a Yes answer, and got right pointing clockwise spin, and for No and left pointing spin. It was so clear and definitely I was a little bit suprised. [edit: btw I did a bunch of questions I know the answers to and am getting 100% correct answers so far] Wow this thing is cool! With that, I asked if I have ET origin, and got a yes, and then asked if I'm a wanderer like in the terms of the Ra material and got another big yes answer. So uhmmm... wow, and hey that's freaky weird. That's enough for now.

Also someone recommended to me that after you are finished with using your pendulum, that you should do some qi-gong and clean your aura. Also maybe good to rinse your hands in water trying to clear yourself. I've been warned it's possible to get some nasty attachments and contact with negative things if you're not careful... I want to be careful and not get myself into some bad situation due to ignorance, or lack of attention to detail. My first shot at this dowsing thing starts with a big bang.

Re: Pendulum Divination...

Sinpatix,
Good to see you're off and running with your pendulum.   I hope you keep practicing and also pay attention to any subtle body sensations as you dowse.   After a while you might notice energy surges or slight tingling sensations, but even if you don't feel these, it will still work well.

Keep us updated on your progress....!

Re: Pendulum Divination...

A couple links

Pendulums to Gauge Energy Flow
http://www.earthalchemy.com/pendulum.html

I thought this article was especially timely since I just got this book called The Practicle Pendulum Book by D. Jurriaanse which provides suggestions to perform some of these basic experiments on minerals and has charts showing the expected pendulum behaviour. I tested it with gold and silver (I have a rough unrefined rock from a childhood tour of a gold mine, and a silver chain for the silver).

You place the pendulum over the object (gold) and it begins to move in a wide circle to the right (counter-clockwise). Then over the silver object, it makes an eliptical circle to the left (clockwise). In the book it says "these will reveal the most important polarities: gold-silver; sun-moon; male-female; mind-matter; positive-negative; dynamic-receptive. A clockwise rotation indicates a male radiation; a counterclockwise rotation indicates a female radiation."

It goes on to suggest other experiments and to try other things only when "you feel that you are in control of your pendulum and you know what it is telling you." It provides two matrix charts, one column is the material that composes your pendulum (crystal, stone, copper, etc) with the other axis being the thing the pendulum is used over: minerals on one, and colors on the other. Then it provides a graphic in each square of the matrix showing the expected pendulum swing result for that test combination. I really wish they had gone into a more in depth discussion. Over-all the intro and how-to part is pretty breif but it should be enough to get someone started. The main body is various charts which I've played with a little now and it is interesting. It's a cheap book so if you're into your pendulum then hey, why not?

Okay back to the first link, it talked about using pictures and being able to observe the energies, and a reference to the old indian belief that taking a picture is stealing a peice of ones soul. Ultimately the article concludes "There is literally an infinite number of ways that I could focus and watch energy flow relationships." and "Through a pendulum I have learned that it's simply a matter of focus."

and that reminded me of this radionics link I was just on talking about the same thing, being how you focus and establishing a psychic link, being more important than the symbolic representations you choose to use in bringing that focus, which seems to dove tail nicely into this first article:
http://www.geocities.com/c_cosimano/psionics.html

http://www.geocities.com/c_cosimano/photowitness.html
A CHANGE IN THEORY

We've had to redo our ideas about witness samples, particularly photographs as witnesses because the use of digital images has proven that all the old notions of them were wrong.

Let me explain.  In the old days, like about ten years ago, it was assumed that a photograph carried something of the energy of the subject, like anything else that had been in proximity to the person.  It worked something like this.  The reflected light off the subject acted as a carrier wave to bring the energy to the chemicals in the negative.  This negative then transferred the energy, again by light, to each print and copy of the photograph that was made.  That is why there was always the instruction to keep the negative of any photograph you used as a witness and it was assumed that a newspaper photograph would go back to a negative on file in the morgue of the newspaper publisher.

Well, we were wrong.  Digital photography uses no negative.  A digital picture is merely a recording of a collection of 1's and 0's, there is no place for any energy to be stored from the subject, much less transferred.

So what is going on?  Well, we do not know for sure, but I think it works something like this.  The image on a photograph creates a psychic link between the consciousness of the operator and the subject.  It makes a connection on a purely mental level and that is why digital photographs work as witnesses.  This means that the old ideas can be discarded.  There is no need to store old negatives, no need to worry about the age of the picture.  All that is needed is the picture and the link is established.

Re: Pendulum Divination...

Some words of warning about the pendulum. I've used it for many years and believed it to be effective and, in some instances, it seemed to be that. But general research has led me to conclude that if the controllers are capable of holographic deception and dream manipulation it is not unreasonable to suggest they can influence the pendulum. I have noted in my own use of it that answers sometimes received are what I wanted to hear. Sometimes they are not what I wanted to hear but knowing the extent of mind control that exists I cannot be sure of the answers I receive. Consequently I am forced to rely on reason and intuition as more apparent reliable sources of information. But who really knows?

Re: Pendulum Divination...

I got my pendulum! big_smile  After many days of searching I saw one that caught my eye http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/6101/chakrapenuk4.jpg.

I've been getting nudges from myself to get a pendulum.  In fact I first had it way back in feburary-march when I made a thread about getting a crystal pendant which I had thought was the image I was giving to myself, but it was a pendulum the whole time ahaha.  Still, that turned out fantastic as with PleidianHealer's suggestion I got a beautiful necklace of amethyst spheres from gemisphere, which has served me in many ways.

Coming across this thread was another nudge and of course talking to ya'll in the chat!  After I got my pendulum I cleansed it and welcomed it.  I made my intentions clear with only allowing my higher self to give answers through it and then I calibrated it.  WOW!!!!!  Talk about trippy!  I knew it would work but to actually see it spinning with such unbridled intensity and precise movements was astonishing.  I asked for 'yes' then 'no' and 'maybe'.  Yes for me is a clockwise circle.  No is side to side.  Maybe is counter-clockwise circle.

I've started a journal for my questions and ya know when it comes down to the asking sometimes I can't think of anything!  This would be my first clear line to my higher self and most of my questions I feel content with what I intuit already.  I would like to ask you all what kinds of fascinating questions you ask that I could ask, I need some inspiration!

I'll list a few that I asked:

Have I had an incarnation in Atlantis?
Yes.

Have I had an incarnation in Egypt?
No.

Have I had an incarnation in the Roman Empire?
No.

Have I had an incarnation as a Native American/Indian? (Have had an extremely vivid dream)
Yes.

Have I been incarnating in 3rd density for over 26,000 years?
No.

Have I had a 3rd density incarnation on another planet?
No.

Am I eating healthy?
Maybe.

Is marijuana ok to be used infrequently?
Maybe.

Do I have a dual-activated body?
Maybe.
