Topic: Lemmings
Lemmings are curious creatures.
They'll follow each other off a cliff to their demise.
Not because they are "suicidal", but because they either didn't see the cliffedge they were headed for until it was too late, or they did realize and got pushed from behind.
No, I don't believe it was their will.
We as humans have the wonderful ability to "see from above" where we are headed.
That is really the only difference I see.
Because, like Lemmings, we also don't seem to posess skills in evasive manuevers.
I enjoy learning and growing in matters of spirituality, it has its place
in existence to say the least.
However, when we need a hammer,
feathers won't do.
This is one of my major dilemmas concerning freewill, intent, manifestation, etc.
At what point do we stop thinking about the new house, and working on a blueprint?
When do we pick up the hammer and either demolish that which we no longer desire, or begin the new foundation?
Faith, love, trust.
Skill, knowledge, intent.
All useful.
So is knowing how to chew one's food.
Any one can be a mode of survival or coping.
Or a trap.
Or both!
An example: Blame.
Things are spun by the PTB tirelessly
to shift blame, using buckets of guilt.
This has of course worked on me in the past, I can now more easily recognize when it pulls at me.
Something like:
"When you refuse to use your democratic privelege, and make yourself heard, you are accessory to the wrongdoing."
"Millions in Africa are starving because YOU didn't give your donation to XYZ Ministries this month".
Now, the above examples are true, to a POINT.
I can obviously make a small difference, everyone can.
But the guilt gets magnified, amplified.
Thus we ignore things like the World Bank and IMF, when it comes to international monetary control, seeing they have a vested interest in keeping thirdworld nations thirdworld nations, or creating more of them every day.
Thus we ignore things like voterigging and all manner of underhandedness in our fabulous and infallible leaders.
We really begin to get this distorted view that the world really is in OUR hands, on a macro scale.
I was never asked, I was not consulted.
About whether I would like another war perpetrated on another nonthreatening nation.
About whether I wanted more BGH in my milk.
About whether I thought more cameras would really bring us more security.
About whether I wanted "possibly serious side effects" with like, umm everything.
If I had ever been asked, I would have answered.
If I thought the collective cowards that comprise government would have cared, I would have spoken.
If I ever thought they WANTED to hear me, I would have done a little happy dance.
And believe me, I can't dance.
As long as we are here in physicality, there will be things that will be out of our control, but I think we should keep an eye out for methods of guilt manipulation, and keep things in perspective.
We can only be held accountable for the portion which we earned personally.
Even then, guilt is a mostly counterproductive emotion, and is to be used in moderation.
And..............we are not Lemmings.
