Topic: The Shadow People

In a thread about Robert Monroe and Loosh, someone mentioned the Shadow People, who appear in bedrooms at night.

I've had two experiences with these "folks," and I wonder if anyone else here has as well.

Experience #1:  I was 6 years old, and having trouble sleeping.  At the time, we lived in a very old house, one that had one bathroom connecting two bedrooms.  In order to get to my bedroom, one had to go through my parents' room and the bathroom.  One night, my mom had left the bathroom light on for me, and left the door open a crack.  Suddenly, the door swung open, and a figure was sillouetted against the light.  It was blacker than black, and seemed to be pointing something at me.  I was terrified, and ducked under the covers.  After what seemed like forever, I looked again, and the figure was gone.  The door, however, was still open!  I went to my parents' room and found my father asleep, my mother reading.  She swore no one had been in my room.

Experience #2:  Very recently I was having difficulty sleeping due to a pain in my side.  I was exhausted, but still in pain, when I looked up and saw a dark figure in the doorway.  It was freakishly tall, and again, blacker than black.  The outline seemed hyperreal, like the border around video game characters (anti-aliasing, I think it's called).  I was filled with terror and dread.  Suddenly, I heard my own voice say, "I'm ready to face you now!"  WTF?!  I thought, because I was in no way, shape, or form ready to face this thing, and I had no intentions of saying that.  But the figure stepped back, as if in retreat.  At this point I was almost disappointed, because I thought there was no way i was ever going to have the courage to face this thing again, and I wanted to get it over with.  It went away.

Heidi Hollis has a book out called "The Secret War:  The Heavens Speak of the Battle," in which she claims the Shadow People are in league with (and I believe, directing) the Reptilians.  She has a portion of her website devoted to them at:

Re: The Shadow People

I don't know if it's the Shadow People, but when I was a child I was convinced people were coming into my room in the middle of the night.  I felt almost paralyzed and drained whenever it happened.  I could never make out their features and I would hide under sheets, tucking them in completely around me because I was so frightened.  It happened so frequently that I rarely slept for more than a couple hours as a child and then I slept fitfully.  Around 14 or so, it stopped.  Since then, it's only happened once or twice.  I'd pretty much written it off as childhood fantasies or nightmares, until recently.  I need to do some more research on this.

Re: The Shadow People

That paralyzed/ drained sensation is very common when encountering the Shadow People.  Apparently, the dread feeling is illicited by them, beyond even the natural terror one would feel at discovering a presence in the room.

It could be that you could sense them, but just couldn't or wouldn't see them.

Did you live in the same place during the time period when you had these experiences?

Re: The Shadow People

I moved several times.  So, there were several different places where this happened and I don't live in the same place now.

Re: The Shadow People

Hmm, I do see these shadow guys quite often, but I was never afraid of'em, dunno why. It's like, they're just the shadow guys walking around, they can't hurt me. They also can't get in my room, perhaps because of the energy in here, but I always sense'em walking around on the rest of the house. Most of the time they're just staring at me from across the walls, sometimes I sense an intention of hurting me, but then all I have to do is not get out of my room 'till the sun rises. Usually they're not tall and have this annoying night-goggles-like red eyes; there's also the bear-like shadow, who's huge and seems to be a little more agressive. Uh, ok, that's it.

By the way, I've moved many times and they were always there.

The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.

Re: The Shadow People

There was a period in my life when lots of shadow people were in my house.  One time I fainted (I think, because my memory blanks out at one point) because I saw one at the end of my bed, and it kind of slid along the side of the bed.

I guess I hadn't thought of it before, but the two I saw never entered my room, either.

Now THAT would have been the very end of me!   You say your memory blanked out... have you ever had abduction experiences?

No, but I've had nightmares about being levitated and kidnapped by a mysterious force, and I have scoop marks on my legs.

Re: The Shadow People

Ermmm.... I hate to break it to you, MM, but it sounds like you may be an abductee.  Of course, you probably suspect that already.

Re: The Shadow People

Well, I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but the feeling of being paralyzed, or the sensation of someone "sitting on your chest", is a perfectly normal, though perhaps uncommon, phenomenon.
Basically, your consious mind is still operating somewhere between the waking and dream world. Your eyes may be open, yet since your mind is still partially in the dream world, you cannot move. This is an evolutionary trait to ensure people don't get up and start walking in the midst of their dream. Furthermore, because in some respects you are still dreaming, you can perceive of things that do not have a physical reality.
That is the caveat. Physical reality. It is quite possibly that because you are in the realm where the physical and mental blur, you can perceive of entities that occupy that same state. The 4th-dimension if you will. In this realm, anything really is possible, as those who have mastered this realm are capable of projecting any shape or form. So, what better form to pick than something that scares the bejesus out of you?
Keep this is mind however: Just as Lono said, all it takes a degree of consciousness and willpower to overcome these beings. If you do not fear them, they have lost their purpose and will retreat to find another victim to terrorize. I've personally had "nightmeres" where I completely turned the tables on these illusionary terrorizers, attacking these entities with all my mental fury (though in retrospect, calmly and cooly declaring your intent was probably enough).

Well, sure, calmly stating intent would be enough... but would it have been as much fun?  Seriously!  If you find yourself in a situation where you can turn those tables, why not do it?  If nothing else, it's cathartic.  You can always go back to being cool once you get it out of your system. wink

Re: The Shadow People

Yeah, it actually did feel quite liberating, knowing that these things are literally powerless, and in some regards, fear the true power the human mind is capable of generating.
I had some aprehensions about sharing the following, but I guess it's now or never.
I've made a person disappear in waking life. Was just watching people as they were walking along the boardwalk, then suddenly, a guy appeared that I got an extremely bad vide off of. What caused this vibe, I'll never know, but basically I started walking behind the guy. I then "overpowered" his step, eventually walking in front of him, and when I turned around, he was gone. I seriously could feel a mental resistance as I was doing this, but I guess that's what freewill is all about. Clearly holding an intent within your mind, and anything is possible when combined with physical action.

Re: The Shadow People

Well, that begs the question... was he even human?  If he wasn't, it would explain how you made him disappear.  Could you explain how you "overpowered his steps"?  Does that just mean that you walked more quickly than he did, and overtook him, or do you mean something more esoteric?

This resistance you speak of, I think I know that feeling.  It's the same thing I feel when I manipulate time.  I feel for a node in the future, and push against it, thus expanding the amount of time I have to complete a task, etc.  I feel a bit of resistance when I do this, which is how I know it's working.  Is this a similar thing?

Re: The Shadow People

I have thought about that, because if he truly was human, of course I couldn't make him dissapear. That's like saying, as the author of montalk.net has stated, that by closing your eyes you can make an incoming truck disappear!
Heh, I used "overcome" for that very reason. It was both a literal and an esoteric thing, as I felt this resistance when I was doing it. In other words, it was a "battle of wills", and I overcame him.
I've always wondered if this was a bad or good thing I did, whether it had repercussions on any level. I know at least on my level, it made me feel lethargic afterwards, so that I had to go back to my house and sleep. However, in the long run, it definitely increased my confidence and mental power, knowing that many 4th-dimensional beings are taken by surprise when a "simple human" causes them to be denied access to our dimension.

Re: The Shadow People

MM, that's kickass.  I've never heard of that before.  Sounds like was one of those that has been reported as having "simultaneously flickering" auras... or, fake people.

I used to race, and I've felt that I've manipulated the laws of physics just a handful a times, and just a bit, from somewhere in my solar plexus, like when I got in trouble and my mind "had the option" of whether or not the car was going to leave the track, but that is nothing like making a fake human disappear... good on ya, expanding awareness...  smile

Did you feel like you were doing it from your solar plexus too?
