Topic: Hayfever

Does anyone have any GOOD suggestions? Prescribed and OTC remedies just aren't doing it for me. (Placebo's are a waste of money!)

My instinct tells me my symptoms can be somewhat attributed to a Pavlov response type conditioning. (Programming By Stimulus-Response). Growing up, my father used to sneeze uncontrollably during the pollen season. Nose always dripping/running, etc. We even used to joke around and "duck and cover" like they taught us in elementary school - in the case of disaster duck and cover. This was in Texas and it was hard-core. (That was the closest our dad ever came to abusing us.....;) ) Additionally notice how the extensive remedy ads clearly demonstate the symptoms in a very dramatic fashion. However; I rarely watch TV or pay that much attention to advertising, although it is hard not to notice. They train us very well......

Now I live in the Northwest (Portland, OR) and the same thing's kicking my ass! I don't know if I'm fighting it too hard or just taking the wrong approach.

I do notice lots of Chem-trails spraying overhead in our area (LOTS!) and I can't help but think someone's negative intentions are contributing to my problem.......Also some "crops" in the agricultural zone west of town are suspicious. They grow mass quantities of ornamental grass for commercial sale of the seed. This stuff causes an extreme reaction, and I've heard the range is some 25-40 miles for the pollen (under perfect wind/temperature conditions.) Ironicly, our prevailing wind is out of the west/southwest - sending this stuff directly at the Portland-Metro area.

HMMMMMMMM.

Re: Hayfever

While I hate taking anything "unnatural" I do take Benadryl-D in the morning and before bed.  D is for decongestant which I have also found needed in my case.  And I've tried other products but that's the only thing that works for me.

Re: Hayfever

Have you tried any of the Homeopathic remedies for hayfever such as allium sepa. I found the deep miasmatic remedy tuberculinum very good for shifting the hay fever miasm but cases are all individual so it may pay to see a Homepath.
New Vista do a hayfever remedy that uses grass pollens in potency to de-sensitize, avoid the anti histamanes as they actually make the problem worse over time and cause other problems.
Apple cider vinegar/blackstrap molases and kombucha tea/kefir can shift many underlying health problems if taken for long enough.

Soloflecks have you tried cayenne pepper drinks as a natural decon, okay its very hot but you get used to it  andtis a great circulation and heart tonic too and makes other remedies you take more effective.
Work up to 1 teaspoon in 250 ml of water morning and night.
Eating raw onions is usually good for hayfever and a good decon too.

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.

Enough garlic + vitamin C will take out just about anything IME.  And if not then a strong Oregano Oil mixed with water, drink a few times daily, should finish it off.

Yep, cayenne also great for just about anything.  Circulation, parasites, immune system, etc.  My gut was on fire the first few days I take it, but afterward I don't even feel it.  Uhh one side-effect seems to be amplified sex drive.  At least for me.

Oh yeah, PS:  If you just want to decongest I highly recommend Habanero peppers.  Extremely hot.  Don't have to eat them directly, I recently found that boiling a pint of habanero's in a cup or two of vinegar and inhaling will clear you RIGHT out.  Lol.  Discovered this while making the newest batch of pickled eggs wink

Re: Hayfever

MANY allergic responses are " intestinal " in their genesis. They pertain to toxicity in the body and specifically in the diet. A radical detox and re evaluation of what one is taking in is in order in all cases. This is time consuming and difficult but worth it. Westerners especially have fallen into very toxic diets. Also everything else one intakes affects the balance...all vibrations, so negative media, cell phones, machine noise, etc.....people are assaulted with bad vibes and toxicity. Then we have not been taught the proper ways to deal with these matters and all those 2d telluric beings then get stuck in our various bodies and manifest disease. This is the price for stepping that far out of alignment with nature. Allergy medications are toxitrophic and attempt to suppress symptoms. No western medical approach deals with causes and the truth of these matters. Western medicine is parasitic.
IN many cases when a person is brought into a strong fast and detox state, the allergy symptoms will lessen notably.
Everyones needs and balance points vary and the task is to find your own through your own journey.
The ego will always want to eat what is not necessarily good for the body.
If you have never done a proper claensing fast, had a colonic, done liver cleansing, I advise all of the above and a radical change in diet based on holisitc research of your own situation.

Re: Hayfever

Leaky Gut Syndrome is another possible cause of hay fever and a major cause of many allergies along with a host of other autoimmune diseases which are mostly misdiagnosed by Doctors and the medical profession.
There are protocols to heal this syndrome.

Re: Hayfever

A liver cleanse might also help as toxins build up in the liver over time and make it difficult for the liver to cleanse the blood.  Dr. Sandra Cabot's book * the Liver Cleansing Diet* might help. Her website is www.liverdoctor.com..it has some good info.  It ties in with what Barefoot Doc was saying about Leaky Gut Syndrome.   Good Luck!

Re: Hayfever

Hey there, J Dub,
I don't have allergies but I want to tell you of my mom's experience...she is only 43. She 'got hayfever' when she was 33 or so...seemed like out of the clear blue sky...no one else in her family had allergies. She's always been a 'health nut.' She suffered every fall for years and the Rx stuff didn't help her much plus she had this 'purist' idea of not wanting to take any Rx drugs. Finally, she started in taking Benedryl to help her sleep and discovered it cleared up her allergies at night! Then after moving from from Kansas to Denver, her allergies only flared up every once in awhile...She has now discovered Claritin-D and loves it, only takes it occasionally. She tried all the recommended vitamins, herbs, and homeos...but they simply did not help nearly enough. She and my dad were a lot HAPPIER in Denver (outskirts--still plenty of chemtrails and pollution! sad  ) and she is sure that made a difference; plus she stopped GUILTING herself for taking OTC's... She says she believes that when she stopped worrying about what she was taking -- that helped her the most. Right now she rarely has an allergy attack...She knows the Claritin-D is there if she needs it. I think its fine to experiement and do what is best for you...just don't think you are 'letting yourself down spiritually' by not doing everything a la natural. Ya know what I mean. Do what works for YOU and don't give it another thought. It's all in the beliefs anyway. IMHO big_smile
Peace,
Summer

Re: Hayfever

Well, good, then Summer I'm not the only one!  Claritin didn't do it for me.  In fact no other OTC works for me except Benadryl.

Doc, can't I just take cheyenne capsules?

Here's something strange that happens to me when I'm getting ready for work around 5:15am.  I'll have a hunger pang but then I sneeze.  I don't usually sneeze when I have hunger.  This is the only time that happens.

Re: Hayfever

I used to have terrible hayfever and took this for it: http://www.thorne.com/index/mod/product … arch_type/

It doesn't mention that it's indicated for hayfever on that page, but the herb gambir was very helpful.

Re: Hayfever

Hey thanks, M Girl!...I love hearing about herbs that are new to me, as I am very much into herbs myself...Will do some research on this and recommend it to some friends of mine. Thanks again. Even though I am for 'whatever works for you' ...I think we would all choose to do the 'natural' thing if we could find something that would really work well.
Peace,
Summer

Theres a kind of bio feedback mechanism that affects cells far removed whereby remedies seem to work far more effectivley if taken orally and tasted.  For example you can save someones life with cayenne pepper if you put a spoonfull in their mouth while they are having a heart attack, when taken orally so the mouth "tastes" its  almost instantanious, capsules would not work here, likewise with blocked mucus in the head and lungs it will work quickley and far more powerfully if tasted.
No doubt capsules may still be good to try but it would not be as effective in my experience.

I have always made a point to chew any non-capsular supplements I take.  The area under a person's tongue has a very high concentration of blood vessels which allows you to directly absorb a lot of whatever it is you are taking, and it is probably beneficial for the nutrients to mix with the enzymes in saliva.

Also, I think you receive a more powerful energetic effect of the supplement by doing that, because your body more easily assimilates the vibration of it similar to taking a homeopathic, though they do work in a very different manner.

Since everything is vibration, I used to place a bottle of something ( that was indicated for me by muscle testing,) on or near my solar plexus and then "tap it in to my chakras" receiving the effect of the supplement without necessarily having to take it.  Intention and belief are extremely important.

Re: Hayfever

Guess I'm going to have to toughen up and try it.  I like the taste of hot things but not the heat.
