Topic: Fractals: 3D renditions of multidimensional space?

You will witness a futile struggle to depict extradimensional phenomenon in public media like the movies Supernova and Contact - but what comes closer to a three dimensional portrayal of extradimensional existence than a mathematically generated fractal image?

UltraFractal, a commercial product available at www.ultrafractal.com , will assist in creating and even animating fractal images on your computer. (The animation version is $129)

An 'out body experience' writer, Robert Bruce, has presented the astral realm as being a literal fractal-spatial dimension in that one will find reality to unfold from within itself when explored by the astral traveler. He even depicts the astral as two fractal 'plains' converging on a horizon with the energy body of a traveler soaring down through the 'realities' on the back cover oh his book Astral Dynamics.

Perhaps there is some effort to have us remember our origins here?

Wow! That's beautiful.

Funny Xenopope, I've just posted a topic in "Physics and Alternative Science" to http://www.rense.com/general69/holo.htm

It occurred to me while reading the beginning, that as well as seeing this reality as a holographic universe, its a bit like a 3D fractal.

Then I saw this post.  Synchronicity is a beautiful guiding tool isn't it?!

I thought you all might enjoy these fractal animations. I hope you have broadband, these are cool:

Now this is my personal opinion:

That's crap. You won't see the astral dimension as fractals the same way you don't see the physical dimension as eletrons going around protons. You can, though, put some extreme focus in a piece of matter so that, eventually, you'll get to see it's eletrons and protons, but that's not the most usual. In the astral dimension you'll, subjectively, interpretate these fractals to create a reality that looks totally different from fractals, the same way we do it to the structure of the physical matter.

That's just an opinion, I might be wrong.

Re: Fractals: 3D renditions of multidimensional space?

great scott how did i miss this thread in the fabric of noble realms non linear time?

i remember, in "high" school, the day i met the fractal (tm). it was an amazing day, because usually i was insanely bored in my math classes. I was already a few classes ahead and even then had a hard time being challenged. but boy, oh boy, did that change when i was flipping the pages of my math book (probably making a cartoon animation on the pages) and was instantly mesmerized by the beautiful patterns i saw on one page. opened it up and began my curiousity with fractals (tm)

till this day i am still tinkering with them (with UltraFractal4 u can animate them now easy) and i have such a strong sense that fractals (tm) hold a very valuable key in unlocking some of the secrets to the universe. specifically how the universe operates. and its infinite nature can only be explained by the fractal (tm)

well... not just the fractal- i believe the hologram (tm) holds valuable knowledge as well. and interestingly enough, i tend to see hologram (tm) and fractal (tm) as very analogous. both have capacity for higher data storage (the fractal is infinite, while holograms can store considerably more data than a linear process) and both express the concept on non-locality. meaning, location isn't as solid, nor as important, as one may think (or it may seem).

the power of the mind to draw thoughts out of thin air, and more impressively- seemingly transport certain individuals thru time and space (sometimes metaphorically, sometimes literally) points to non-locality, and hints at a network "out-there" (thinking relatively) that is instantaneous.

i dont think that these fractals (tm) are meant to be taken as literal visual representations of the further dimensions above our own, but rather an analogy to help us grasp these concepts, and come to terms with them. learn to travel with in them.

sure, some are blessed with that ability already, but it is known that imagery is a magic used by many forces, to trigger certain things. perhaps fractals (tm) and holograms (tm) can cause that light bulb to go off in some heads.

at least, they images are beautifully mesmerizing and touch our subconcious, which for some may be enough.

all i know is that i feel something very deep when i stare into fractals (tm) and ponder how they interrelate with holograms (tm).

kljsad, most likely you will not see the other realms as fractal/holographic (tm) energy wave patterns, but this is because your mind is accustomed to (programmed to) instantly begin analyzing and interpreting and rationalizing its environment. this seems to be what your saying, but doesn't that mean that if you have complete control of your consciousness, and didnt rationalize and analyze your environment every single linear moment, perhaps you could catch a glimpse of those fractals (tm) in their true nature.

ah, but at that point you wouldn't "see" at all now!

think about these fractals (tm) and holograms (tm) as frequencies of energy (gravity, electrons, emotions, solar, thoughts, symbols, etc etc etc) banding together in an orgy of web-like never-ending multilevel patterns that permeate all the universe, allowing realities of infinite possibilty to manifest for consciousnesses. (not bodies)

instead of thinking about them as pretty lights smile

my current half-assed theory is that on each level of reality , there is a holographic network that help govern and gives access to govern that level. OK, what are these levels u might ask? i ask too. lets postulate that the different levels of reality can be based on the conscious living being on that level. example we are on human level. below might be the animal level, and below might be insect level. OK, there's different holograms on each level, similar in some regards, and obviously connected to each other. but what connects them? Fractals do! you'll see that fractals are 4 dimensional patterns- even though u only see an image of them, they are even more amazing when they are in motion (4d- time) - a fractal contains its own pattern encoded within itself, so you can zoom into one part of the fractal 1000x , and it has the same exact pattern as it did before. this gives me an idea of the different levels of reality as different "zoom" levels on a fractal. And on each of these levels is that holographic network that we are creating thru perceptions and thoughts and interactions.

its a primitive idea i know, but i have a strong feeling about fractals (tm) and holograms (tm)
