Re: Buh-Bye from LipstickMystic

bye LipstickMystic ... for whatever reason you're leaving - sometimes space is a good thing too ...

but i wanted to comment on the issue of psychological hurt here - 'cause i hear you say it hurts like hell when someone says something about us which isn't true ... that comment struck out at me ...

i've been there, we all have ... and if someone wants to be very logical about it, they'll say, yes, but you know what's true of yourself and therefore someone elses words or ideas won't hurt you because what they're saying is false and you know it ... but the fact is, it can still hurt sometimes, right ?

well what's behind that hurt ? i mean, what's really at the root of it ? does it have something to do with the image we carry of ourselves ? and someone says something which doesn't conform to that image ? take just a second to look at it ... i'm addressing anyone reading this, including myself as i'm writing this ... going to try and be very clear adn precise with my words ...

we all carry images, of ourselves, and of others, don't we ? and what's the basis of those images ? they may be based on past experiences we've had with people, correct ? based on memories we hold ... in the case of others, if someone says something offensive to me, or compliments me - and i hold that, and the next time i see this person - i meet this person with that past memory - then i'm looking through filtered screen, am i not ? which means i'm not perceiving what may actually be there, but coming at what's there with a preconceived notion, or with a certain view ... whatever ... i think this is a fairly subtle point - but to look at it carefully and see the truth of it - maybe that's something ...

so what about that image i may have of myself ? someone says something to me which isn't flattering maybe, they say i'm base, or this or that ... and that hurts me why ? what if i had no image of myself - and images are formed by thought, right? - (and what's thought at its core? a response to memory, which is the past, no ?) so if i had no image of myself - and i didn't carry over with me the comment that was being said to me which may be hurtful - which would be an action of my mind storing that memory, keeping it ... if that was the case - then would i ever be hurt from within ?

i think there's more to it that just that - lots more, i know it isn't that simple - but this whole thing about images we carry of ourselves and others - just to see how it affects our relationship with one another - that in itself may be something significant, i don't know ... this has to do with knowledge of self.

i know this is LipstickMystic's goodbye thread - but i want to 'connect some dots' which i think are relative - so please forgive me as i continue ...

there was a thread that talked about changing your beliefs gradually - i think Tenetnosce had posted it, and LipstickMystic also made comments - and i know other people made comments as well - i just can't remember who - but i think the idea was being conveyed was that if you gradually change your belief system, you can change your reality, something to that effect - T gave an example and it had to do with relationships ... well that also relates to this thread - it has to do with changing the image you hold of yourself, right ? at some level, with time as the basis for change ... correct ? the rest of what i'm saying is based on this assumption i'm making ... so here goes -

does changing my beliefs about myself, changing the image i may have about myself, actually fundamentally, deeply, change me ? does the image i may hold of myself even have any basis for truth ? look - an image is a static thing, right ? it may be modified, but even so - it's still static - it's still a construct of thought - something which is dead because it's based on the past - it's not a living, dynamic thing - you and i, however, we are LIVING ... in a state of flux -

ok computer - so - what about CHANGE ? let's say i'm a certain way - like maybe i'm shy (i wish i could use the same example T had, but i can't remember it exactly), but let's say i'm shy and that affects me in my relationships - well what's the basis for that shyness ? is it fear of something ? does it also have to do with an image i'm carrying ? whatever it is - my shyness, my fear - how do i go beyond it ? or let's say i'm angry or jealous ... right now at this moment i may not be those things - but in my relation with someone - let's say those qualities are releaved - let's say there's a situation and my shyness is releaved, or my anger or my jealousy comes out in a moment, due to a situation - so how do i go beyond those things ?

i'm basing this on my own understanding, on my own life - but i'm saying that - in that moment, that whatever quality of myself is revealed - if i have an awareness of it - and i may not like what i find - it's not easy to look at something ugly about yourself - but if i can face it - stay with it, without judgement, without identification, even - then what happens ?

stop.

what happens when i name that thing that i see in the first place - if i name my anger, for example ? then i'm giving it continuity, right ? i've recognized it - solidified it - but what if i don't name it - just to face what's there without giving it a name - what happens ? ... how will i find out ?

perhaps that's what transforms me ... this whole business of facing myself as i find myself - there's nothing more natural, nothing set a better pace than finding myself in my relation with others in the moment, is there?

... and what about my belief system ? altering the image i hold of myself through thought, through time, i didn't have to go there ... there was no effort in that regard ... look - i may be angry, shy, or whatever, and wish not to be - but the modification of my self-image - which is a false thing, an illusion, to begin with - thinking that thought/feeling can modify, can actually change me deeply through time - that is a false thing.

if i can learn to face myself as i am - without judgement - then what about what i find in others ? what do you think happens ?

maybe this is a movement towards love. that's a fairly significant statement for someone to make, ins't it ? but it's all so subtle and i don't know if i'm doing an adequate job of putting it into words ...

none of this has any significance unless i see it for myself, in my own life - these are just words otherwise - that's all ... and up to this point in what i'm trying to convey, it's only from what i've seen in myself - and still, it's incomplete - there's so much more to this ...

i don't know how to end off - i want to keep writing - maybe with this: this world, our lives, without relationship, what are we ? we're nothing, right ? what about our state of being - having a sense of clarity, a sense of peace and ease from within, that comes from what ?
the life we live, our actions, living a life of order, dealing with all problems as they arise so we're always ready to face the next thing, so much to it all - and also much more deeply - how we deal with what's going on from inside, right ? whether or not we have any understanding of self .... without knowledge of self, it's hopeless, there will always be confusion - that's the basis for healthy, sane, loving relationship - and self knowledge is not something which anyone can teach to another - i mean, i read Krishnaji and he pointed all this stuff out that i talked about here, and much much more - but what i mentioned here i have for myself - i learned/learning through myself, in my own life - but there's something immense in all of this - beyond words ... sorry if i'm sounding incoherent - i hope it's been at least somewhat clear - i'm just blowing words in the wind - but i think this stuff is really important ...

peace out homies big_smile

... checking out the mirror of relationship ...

Re: Buh-Bye from LipstickMystic

Hi All,

Thanks very much for the kind comments and supportive emails and even your donations, which were neither required nor expected.  Thanks also to  Justin/Czyx for the sweet email. No offense is taken, guys, really. My reaction yesterday was all about what's going on with ME and had very little to do with Czyx's post. I'm aware of that. That, plus a little full moon mojo stirring things up smile

I wanted to post a round-up here of what's really going on, to give you a better sense of what that crazy stuff was about yesterday with my heated reaction and stuff.  I feel you're entitled to that explanation.  Whether or not I stick around here in future, I'm not sure about at this point. But here's the context for what's happening with me.

I've been going through a personal crisis of sorts lately surrounding how much I'm giving out for free and the toll it has taken on me over the past twenty years, financially, personally, and energetically. So when someone blithely posts that it sounded like I was just in it for the money, it really rubbed me the wrong way. Especially with taxes due today and the inevitable punishment that the "system" hands out to all self-employed types! Yikes.

All of this had very little to do with Czyx, and everything to do with me processing my own stuff.  Czyx is right about the Scientology weirdness with the Thetans and their whole cultish process of convincing people that they need endless treatment for stuff they can never directly see or discern, roping them along for more and more classes and fees and dependency.  That's not good stuff, at all.

And I understand, too, that when someone comes along and talks about entity attachments and weird stuff like that that many folks are going to have problems with that. It  goes with the territory!  Believe me, I wish all of what I've seen, perceived, and worked with WASN'T true. But I still feel that I need to share it once and while with others to remain responsible on my path as a healer and researcher.

As Easter weekend approaches, I've been remembering how two years ago I was privileged to be asked by a friend of mine to help his brother, who had been rushed to the hospital due to a serious drug interaction from some new meds his doctor had put him on for his lifelong schizophrenia. The guy was in a coma and not expected to live. If he woke up from the coma, doctors predicted grave brain damage.

So I was asked as a remote healer to do some work on him. First I checked in with the guy's higher self (during a coma the majority of a person's energy is out of body, so I had a chat with him.) And he told me that he DID want to come back into his body and give this life thing another try, even though he knew he would face more challenges up ahead. So since I got the go ahead that it was okay to work on him, I did my usual stuff, closing up holes in his energy field, doing soul retrieval to reclaim the energy body from its journey heading toward the death realms, and clearing out the posse of negative entities that had attached to the guy throughout the years and were causing his schizophrenia. These entities had been masquerading as his various "personalities" over the years. Really, they were discarnates and demonic entities that had overridden his central self and hijacked control of the wheel, so to speak.

This man didn't know me in the world of "3-D" and had no idea this work was going on, at a conscious level. Normally, I wouldn't work on someone under that situation but I got such a clear go-ahead from him out of body that I knew it was okay to proceed and that I had his permission.

Right after I worked on him, he went into an inexplicable high fever.  I saw this as a good thing when his brother told me, because his body was burning off the toxins of the drugs that had put him in the hospital in the first place. The fever didn't last long.

The next morning was Easter morning. The man arose out of a coma, no brain damage, right as rain, and without the schizophrenia he had been suffering from for over 30 years.

I've been blessed to be a participant in many such healings. It's real stuff.  And as a sensitive person who wears her heart on her sleeve and feels incredibly burdened to show others some of how they could be applying these same techniques to help themselves with everything from a minor cut to heart problems to coming back from the brink of death, I'm overwhelmed sometimes about how much to share/not share when I connect with a bunch of enlightened folks, like at Montalk.net. I go too far, sometimes, and I realize that.

The big lesson for me is to walk around with this stuff in my personal history and to figure out when it's appropriate to share, and when it isn't. Unfortunately, lately I've been getting the message over and over again that less is more, that I'm not going to succeed in bringing these techniques to many people. And it saddens me from a deep place, to the point that the sorrow of it takes my breath away sometimes. I was in the pit of that yesterday.  I'll work myself out of it and move on as I process the lessons involved.

Anyway, that is a brief glimpse into my world. Thanks for letting me share it!

I will keep an open mind about posting here in the future, but it's probably good to take a break for a bit.

Best to all of you, and thanks again for listening!

Re: Buh-Bye from LipstickMystic

I had that problem in the past, going nearly broke as a result of offering up my computer repair services for free, or only gas money. I figured that I had a lesson to learn in all this. I was not only convicted of this, friends and others chastised me for charging so little. I had an ability, and the proper amount of energy should be exchanged for it, otherwise I was being irreverent of the "system" (energy exchange, that is). Yet I was a VERY sensitive person, and didn't like offending people, but I eeked up the courage and eeked up the prices. The responses I got were not expected. Most people gave more than I asked, realizing that I was still charging less than conventional repair facilities.

I've found out from this lesson that there are people who will use you, but there are people who will genuinely respect you for who you are and what you do. Even though my full time job falls short in fullfilment and money, this after hours vocation comes through when necessary. It's like when I'm helping others, I'm helping myself. By not accepting the appropriate energy exchange, though, I was creating a blockage in the energy continuum. In effect, I was "constipating the universe" . . .

Personally, it makes no sense to me why people would have problems with this stuff - when I read that statement I just shake my head.   The only thing I can offer up is to try to realize that it's their problem - their loss - for rejecting that info.  And it's their problem and their issues if they lash out at you.   Try not to take it personally.  Just shrug and move on.   All you can do (if you feel the drive to do so) is put what you know out there, and those who need to read it will get something from it.   That's all you can do.  The rest?   It doesn't matter.   At best, you're planting seeds with them.

Okay.........Scorpio honing and analysis skills kicking in here wink  buuuuut....first off, I've noticed that you say stuff like this a lot in your posts.  You apologize in a self-depreciating way for what you feel is rambling, or going too far, or whatever.   You have to ask yourself........where did that come from?   Does it come from the naysayers and detractors that you've had run ins with over the years?   If so.........you can't let them have this lingering hold over you!   They've probably completely forgotten about what negative things they may have said to you and have gone about their lives, totally oblivious, and meanwhile....here you are forever running a recording/script in your head about how you're "rambling", and "going too far", etc.   !!   I don't think anybody here at NR thinks you go too far......I've certainly never seen anybody (until yesterday) openly lash out at you in any way, shape or form.   Then you take into effect all the great things people have posted to you here in this thread so far....

...And adding it all together, it seems to me it's time to toss out that recording/script and create a new one.  !  smile  Seriously.  Toss it out.  Because it's outdated, it doesn't apply anymore.  But the human mind is a funny thing - it holds on to past hurts and will play these weird scripts over and over in our minds until we become conscious of it happening, and make an effort to put an end to it.

Okay, not saying you wouldn't be aware of this, but, are you sure that it's really a valid message you're receiving?  Or is it negative interference?  Again, I'm sure you've probably already checked that out, but, I don't know....seems to me there's an offhand possibility here that what you're hearing/getting may not be a true and positive message?    You wouldn't believe the thoughts/urges/"Messages" that come my way, usually coincidentally after a suspected abduction or times when it's clear that negs are around, and they're usually designed to knock me out of the picture, make me feel depressed - even suicidal - and sabotage my life.   Just something to consider.

Re: Buh-Bye from LipstickMystic

Jennifer,

Thanks for your posts on NR's.  I've really enjoyed them.  The lessons you've learned and shared from your life experiences have strengthened me.  Please surpirse us now and then with your particular point of view.

Still, I won't be missing you because I check lipstickmystic.com regularly.

Blessings to you,

Re: Buh-Bye from LipstickMystic

Jennifer,

I would like to state as well that I find your contributions to NR (and the world at large) to be of immense value, and would like to encourage you to continue to contribute.

You have, on numerous occasions expressed ideas and experiences which have closely parallel my own, and though I am generally rather silent (I know, hard to believe) in the subject of metaphysical healing, there is a reason for that, and it is because it is a largely unresolved area of my life.

Several years ago, I learned that I had quite extraordinary healing abilities, and that it was (supposedly) my path in life to be a healer.

At first, I was very excited about the prospects, but the further I went into it the more I came up against the same familiar challenges.  Ridicule and skepticism from people.  The dangers of opening myself up to negative influences.  If and how to charge for this kind of service.

I decided to become a naturopathic physician mostly because I wanted to broaden my information base on the subject of alternative medicine in general, but also because I wanted to create a disctinction of credibility between myself and most newage hokey-pokey healers.  Before there was my intuitive side, there was my rational scientific side, and I felt that it was important to honor that as well.  While I am interested in all sorts of metaphysical and energetic approaches to healing, I also have found that a lot of the approaches appear to be nonsensical, and just based on whatever is most self-serving for supposed healer to believe about the healing process itself (a HUGE source of my disdain for the "Your beliefs create your reality" line).  Many healers just say whatever supports their personal agenda, which in many cases appears to be separating people from their money, amassing a following of believers, and inflating their own egos.

One of the things I have always appreciated about your approach is that it is investigative.  You are always cautious to make sure that you are actually doing what you think you are doing, and to ensure that your healing intentions are in alignment with the will of the patient, and of their soul.

As for the subject of money.  This is still a big challenge for me.  On the one hand, it would appear that things given freely are very rarely valued.  On the other hand, there is also something that makes me uncomfortable about charging for this particular gift.  Interestingly enough, I am totally comfortable charging for other gifts, say for example, playing music in public.

Shortly before I left my medical practice in preparation for the move, I did a little experiment.  I made myself available for a few hours, BY DONATION ONLY, every Sunday to anybody who wanted to come in for straight energetic sessions.  No history taking.  No diagnosis.  No prescriptions.  Just me, my hands, and my intentions.

One of the first things I did was encourage people NOT to talk about their specific problem, and in EVERY CASE I got feedback that my hands seemed to know where to go, or that my comments nailed the problem right on the head.

One challenge I faced was that people were, at first, uncomfortable with me working on them without a specific label.  Many questions were asked like, "So what exactly are you doing?  Is it Reiki?"  For some reason people are very insistent that you are working with some particular system, which is why I think so many healers make up their own system.  However I did find that a few minutes of discussion about how we were just going to use the opportunity to set our intentions and open ourselves up to a healing process that we may not rationally comprehend, that people's concerns were assuaded enough to continue with the session.

The bottom line is that I achieved much more significant results in one or two sessions than I did with some patients that I had been seeing for months.  And, much to my surprise, everybody donated money for the session (though I made it clear that they could donate something other than money), and in some cases, it was a pretty reasonable amount.

Anyway, my intention is not to make this a post about me, but I wanted to share enough of my own experience to demonstrate WHY I feel that your contributions to this forum, and to me personally, are so valuable.

Hope you are feeling better and that I hear from you again.

Matt

Re: Buh-Bye from LipstickMystic

Jennifer, I just want to second the appreciations the other ones stated before. Your texts are always a great read because of the profound personal first-hand experience you share. Combined with your writing style that oftentimes has a certain levity to it, they are always a joy to read. It’s sad that you’ve got the impression to hit a brick wall. I think, things were tuned up by negative interference during full moon and the experiences you told of.
To sum it up: thank you for posting …and maybe reconsider to keep on doing it  smile
