Good to see you tried the symbol.   And yeah it would be great to see the energy, since I too can only feel it.   If you ever find yourself in an emotional situation with another person, perhaps an argument or something, or maybe some other situation where you feel vulnerable, if you could remember to put your witness in the center before you get involved in a situation like this, you might notice you'll feel less vulnerable or very detached.   This is a subtle difference, but sometimes noticable.   There are other symbols that do this too, give you a measure of protection, and I'm not sure exactly how they work.  If I were to guess I would say they have an energising effect on your aura and in turn fortify it more, it's somewhat like having energy constantly moving away from you after you recieve it, which in turn protects you (maybe a suble energy forcefield?)

In radionics it's not uncommon to use concentric designs.   Before I ran into the Shield I had seen concentric triangle designs and circle designs, so I knew right away when I saw this one in particular that it would work radionically.   I had no idea that of all the designs used thus far, at least the ones I know of in radionics, this hexagon design really kicks ass.

You also might want to try it when you get depressed for any reason, or are having a "down day" or something like that.    The day I used it for a long while and it made me rage is another very common thing when using radionic equipment or all types.   They usually say in the instructions of the devices to only use the prescribed treatment times in the book, and probably mean do not exceed them.   More is not better when using subtle energy devices, but I had to try anyway, and like I said I was glad I did because then I was almost overwhelmed with energy, I knew it was working.    Sometimes it's really hard to test these devices, let alone find out if they are really working or doing anything good for you.

I've had this problem when using other radionic devices and have over the years used extremely long treatment times, just to see if I could feel it more.   For example, with the symbolic Herionymous device, which is a very famous radionic device, I gave myself a treatment to increase my intuition.   I would imagine the normal treatment time is about 15-20 min., but I left my witness in it for more than 3 hours.   I could feel the energy in my forehead start to build after about 15 min. and then it kept going to about the 3 hour mark this very subtle energy increase, this was not strong as the Shield.    At the 3 hour mark it tappered off and then went down to nothing after about 4 hours.   I was completely fine afterwards and really enjoyed the long treatment.   So the same results, although much more subtle were achieved with the Herinonymous device as with the Shield.

I hope these aren't stupid questions...

I was confused by scale. I'm presuming you are supposed to print this and then trace over it, but it looked kind of small. Should the graphic be upscaled to make it larger? How straight do the lines need to be/how accurately does it need to be copied? If your hand drawn line is wavy does it mess it up? Would it be better to create it from scratch measuring precisely and using a ruler vs handdrawn swiggley...?

So does the bottle composition matter? plastic/glass? Somerwhere it said use natural cork, why? Does any old plastic work? How small does the bottle have to be to fit inside that small graphic? It needs to be capped/covered? I get that it's called a witness, but the terminology is foriegn to me in this context. Is it possible to get a brief background? It looks interesting. I'd like to try it, but I'm worried I'll totally screw it up.

z3n3rg gave some good tips on how to put this whole thing together.   You could also draw the design free-hand as you said.  I did that the very first time I ran into the Shield.   I used a clip board and 8 1/2 by 11 piece of white paper, starting with the inner most hexagon and working outward.   It did take me 3 attempts before I got a half decent drawing.   You can also print it out and then put a blank piece of white paper on top of it and trace it, which it very easy and gives you a nice straight-lined design.  Try to keep the lines as straight as possible but they do not have to be exactly perfect either free-hand or when you copy it.

If you get a larger piece of paper, let's say 11" by 17", you can make the inner most hexagon a bit bigger and in turn you'll have more room to draw the whole design.   So making it slightly larger I would assums is fine.  I usually have done well with just the same size as original. 

I think the bottle would work best with glass, I've never tried plastic.   There are plenty of small bottles used for other things that you can shop around for.  z3n3rg's suggestion for a bottle was good.   I used a women's lip gloss bottle, which I cleaned out, and was made of clear glass and fit exactly inside the inner most hexagon.   I've noticed that some homeopathic remedy bottles, are very small and also work well.   Just make sure you wash them out and if they have a plastic cap you can try that first, and see how it works, as a cap inside the Shield.   I found a small bag of corks at a hardward store and also some crafts stores sell them too.   But the first time I did use the plastic lip gloss applier as my cap and it worked fine, I didn't even push it down to secure it but just placed it into the opening of the bottle.

When using designs like this, creativity is the rule, you can try alot of different things, and find something that works well for you.  The bottle size must fit within the inner most hexagon, since a radionic design like this gathers it's energy from the drawing itself.   The term witness is used in radionics to denote a representation of who you intend to send your treatment to.   In the old days most witness' were hair samples, and sometimes saliva.   Also, on the Hieronymous device you can use the same bottle and saliva sample as witness, but most of the time I use a polaroid photo of myself with the Hieronymous device, I cut it down to fit on the small witness area.    I've tried a polaroid photo in the Shield but did not get good results.   So you have to try this and try that.   

Another very interesting experiment is to put a question inside the bottle, you can roll it up on a small piece of paper, with the Shield.   Make sure you also put the Q-tip with the saliva too along with the question.   I did this once and left it overnight, the next morning as I was getting dressed I had an "ah ha" sort of thought, which seemed more like a message in a way, and my answer to the question just popped into my mind.   You can ask just about any short question, a good suggestion might be, "What is my soul purpose in this lifetime?" or "What is my next step in my spiritual evolution?".   Or maybe if you lost your car keys last week, you can ask "where are my lost car keys?".
