Topic: More on the Subject of "Truth"

. . . or is it Moron: The Subject of Truth?

Anyhow!  It's so disappointing when I'm toodling along on a thread that I think is interesting and that I'd like to contribute to, and then the napalm hits!  Luckily the wonderful thing about NR is that. . I can start my own thread!  So.  .  .

Here's one statement that is patently false:  "There's no such thing as absolute truth."

Um. . yes. . . there is.  I think that many people these days are driving this whole relativism thing completely out of control.  (What else is new?)

This deal about "my" truth and "your" truth is just a sidestep.  An avoidance mechanism for those who don't really have any respect for truth at all, but are only interested in entertaining beliefs that don't make any sense whatsoever, and then protecting them from scrutiny should anybody else come along and have the audacity to suggest that their belief is ridiculous.  "My" and "your" truth is for people who are more concerned with not hurting anybody's feelings, or pandering to their own ego, than actually engaging in any sort of meaningful communication.

Most of what we call "truths" are, in fact, beliefs.  There's "my" beliefs and "your" beliefs.  And we are certainly entitled to them.  Especially when it comes to my beliefs about me and your beliefs about you.

Now my beliefs certainly create my experience of reality but they do not create my reality.  How do I know this?  Simple.  If I created my own reality it sure as hell wouldn't look anything like this!  If anything, I chose to come here to demonstrate to myself that I could still experience whatever I wanted in spite of this reality.

There are many truths out there.  Things exist.  Events happen.  And to those that would say, "How do you know that things really exist, and they are not all just figments of our imagination?" I say, well then our minds exist and our imaginings exist, and they exist by virtue of our experiencing them.  And I would also say, how bout you stop trying to play "Devil's Advocate" and come up with some original thought already?

There is one absolute truth that is as profound as it is self-evident, and it is also the one that is most frequently ignored.  And the fact that it is so frequently ignored is, in my opinion, the number one reason for the somewhat sad state of affairs here in this little corner of the universe.  The truth is this:

Everything is connected.

There is no such thing as separation.  You can attempt to believe in separation, but the fact of your belief proves that it is false.  You can attempt to live your life out of this false belief, but it will inevitably lead to the destruction of whatever it is that you are trying to live.

The belief in separation is why the health care system is failing.  It is why the educational system is failing.  It is why science is failing.  Governments.  Economies.  Religion.  Marriages.  You name it.  All of these things that were once hopeful sources of happiness are failing because of people's insane and ridiculous persistence in refusing to acknowledge the one simple truth that is staring them in the face every moment of every day.

Everything is connected.

Any belief system, social institution, or scientific inquiry, that is based on this truth will provide something of value.  Something useful.  Something sustainable.

Any of the above that willfully ignores this fact will be met with failure.

It's really as simple as that.

TPTB's and Co. know this.  The entire strategy is based upon using the principle of connectedness to promulgate the false belief in separation.

It exactly why you can look out into the world and see things like the 25-year old soccer mom of three stopping off at the Arco to put $50 worth of gasoline in her "safety-feature enhanced" SUV on her way to the Wal-mart Supercenter so she can save a dollar on a magnet that says "Support Our Troops", who a year down the line can't figure out why her husband is laid-off, why her brother is lying dead in the sands of Iraq, and why that dollar she tried to save is now worth only 80 cents.  Oh, and by the way, she's pregnant again, and applying for state aid to cover her medical bills cause, you know, she's entitled to that.

But golly gee willikers, who am I to say anything about how she lives her life?  She's just living "her truth".  That's right, she is.  And this is me living "my truth".

Everything is connected.

The sooner that we all decide to stop chasing after "our own truth" and start making decisions based on real truth, the sooner we will be able to actually get some lasting enjoyment out of life.

The word "truth" is the grenade of the english language.

It's meaning will probably never be even halfway agreed upon.... ever never ever.  It's a side-effect of reality bubbles.

That's the truth.  wink

Personally, I prefer to say either "that's effective" or "that's accurate"....instead of saying "that's the truth".....

Re: More on the Subject of "Truth"

Bravo!  Bravo!
Encore!

And,

Everything is connected because as Walter Russell said in the book The "Divine Iliad"

"Say thou these things in words of man's
knowing, for, verily I say, I am within all
things, without all things, and involved in all
things, for I am everywhere.

All things are omnipresent, for all things
extend from mind of Me, and I am
omnipresent.

"All omnopresent things are omniscient, for
I am within them, and I am omniscient.  When
man's conciousness telleth him of My
presence within and without him he will then know
all things, for I know all things, and I am he.

" And again I say that all things which
man senseth are but waves of dual light which
record my electric thinking in the imagined
forms of My imagining.

"And also I say that the imagined forms of
My imagining have no Being, for I alone have
Being."

we are all God!

Oh yeah! Prove it! How do you KNOW the BB's exist? And if they did, would you really want to add them to infinity? That's kinda scary, man! yikes

BB + infinity = fries + burger

Re: More on the Subject of "Truth"

Excellent post Tenetnosce -- thank you.

Re: More on the Subject of "Truth"

Funny posts aside wink Thanks for that post tenetnosce, a very profound read.

This arises some questions though, how do we begin (or continue) to make decisions based on real truths?  How do two people with different belief views agree on something profound as real truth?

For example, when I started learning about government propagande and divine power, I attempted to tell all my close friends as I had believed that I had found something true!  Then I started telling people, and not only did I get no response or intelligent conversation, but ridiculed.  And even now, 5 years later the same people act the same way towards the matter.  So this led me to work on myself more, and began living "my belief system" so to speak, and has in effect made my life situation a whole lot better.  So I gave up talking to people about IT - meaning the search for Truth (other than this awesome forum).

So I ask, how do we do this?

Can we use our own actions to show people?  Could we raise our own vibrations and touch them meta-physically?  Those are some of the ways I see as working?

Any thoughts?

I've actually been thinking about this the last few days.  I was going to start a post but don't think I have enough information to warrant one.  The post was going to be called "Acceptance vs Enslavement".

The concept I was going on was what the Cs said.  Give a lie what it asks for, the truth.  But when does one cross the line from this into attempting to enslave the mind of another (mostly done without consciously realizing it of course).  I've come to the tentative conclusion that the action is required only once.  If the individual doesn't accept then any further attempt crosses the line.  The acceptance of their unacceptance must be accepted and you must move on.

So to answer your question, "we don't do it".  They do it if they choose.  Our duty is to give what has been given to us.  That is STO.  Then we must remember to continue being STO by accepting their free-will not to accept what we have given.  Any further thought or attempt, whether it be physical or meta-physical, would be an attempt at enslavement.  At least, that's the conclusion I've come to at the moment.

Make any sense?

That's what I always thought!! Isn't that supposed to be contained within the definition of the word?? It's like words aren't even allowed to be what they mean anymore!! XD Oh since somebody went and tacked on the word 'absolute' in the front of it then that means truth is now allowed to not be itself .  .  .   lawl

You know, and yes, I've always flinched when someone starts with the "my" truth and "your" truth routine. It honestly feels to me like they just killed any real truth right there when they divided it . . .

I am as is Void.

Yes, yes it does. smile Thanks.

So if we look at this again...

Wouldn't "our own truth" be built upon real truths? If someone really wanted lasting enjoyment, there would have to be a drop of real truth in their believe system to do so.

Thus working on ourselves would mean looking and striving to attain a "belief system" that resonates closet to the truth. (Or no belief system at all - and work directly from stillness)

Is working on ourselves being STS? Or STO through self?

Either way, I think this forum is an example of exploring reality to find that real truth.  Thanks everyone! smile

Ahh, yes! So, its either we have "programs" or "beliefs" that are based on truth, or non-truths.  No grey areas?

Then I would ask how do I know whats good or bad?

And I think what is said below would answer that...

Yes.  "Our own Truth" is the same truth that is contained within each of our souls.  The fall of man was the seeking of truth or knowledge outside ourselves.  When we go inside we see that all is connected. This is the beginning of trully seeing the absolute truth for ourselves.  "Know yourself and you know the entirety of existence."

Is working on ourselves being STS? Or STO through self?

Hehe.  Another question I asked earlier today of myself.  I have an answer but I don't know if it's correct.  But here goes.

It is neither.  It is neutral.  As the Cs said, it is soul questing.  Only the actions taken in respect to other-selves can have a polarity.  STS is actions taken in respect to other-selves to the benefit only of self.  STO is actions taken in respect to other-selves to the benefit of all.  But working on self is not an action in respect to other-selves.  Therefore it's neutral.  It's beyond polarity.  Correct or not, that was the answer I received to my question.  What do you think?
