Barefoot Doc – thanks for the insights, you and I are pretty much on the same page. I have known several people who claimed to be Walk-Ins but weren’t. And due to some misguided channeling from Ruth Montgomery in the 80’s, it received a bad rap, and one WI that I do know to be a true (good) WI will not let anybody know that she is.
(She saw my aura, recognized the type, and assisted in my waking up.)
You better believe there are a lot of astral entities looking for a body, as well as NTFs, parasites and discarnates. I spent a year in a deliverance ministry dealing with people who would come to see us (a clinic run out of a church in this area) because they had phobias, habits, and minor dysfunctions – so they thought. I’d say 80% of these people just had emotional problems and were not possessed, nor even oppressed. We sent the emotional ones to counseling.
Possession: another spirit takes over the body with you still in it.
Oppression: another spirit attaches itself to you, cannot get in the body
but can make you feel miserable, depressed, compulsive,
sick etc.
A Walk-In by the way (for ermolai ) is only one soul in the body at one time, and has permission of the original occupant to be there.
So in these clinic meetings, we found about 20% of the people had a valid problem and without hypnosis, we could speak to these harassing entities. Those that were present as a result of witchcraft, and serious occult rituals, we sent down the street to the Catholic Church where there was a very effective Exorcist. We dealt only with the simpler cases that took about 20-30 minutes to clear for someone.
Thanks to Hollywood hype, the exorcist picture is way out of focus… there are rarely spinning heads, green goo, red eyes, or levitation. Most of the time it’s quite boring and the invasive spirit has to be worn down and convinced to leave. (For a great, realistic treatment of this, see Dr. Scott Peck’s new book: Glimpses of the Devil. Not scary at all, and very revealing as to how little power the ‘demonic’ really has. He was a skeptic until he attended a few exorcisms… he became a believer, as did I.)
Thanks, I am going to check out this Steve Gamble more.
ermolai – A Walk-In is no more possession than you selling your house to someone else who moves in. They have a right to be there. But, if the other party breaks in, or tries to force you out of your house, then you do have (illegal) possession.
In point of fact, to my knowledge, there are many more Wanderers than Walk-Ins. I belonged to the WE International organization – for WIs and I quit after a few months. It was a snooty clique for wanna-be WIs and except for one woman, I was not impressed with any knowledge or spirituality.
Be aware that there are a lot of OPs (organic portals – see Montalk website) and these have an STS agenda – these may be what you are referring to as negative Walk-Ins. (They are the ones I see without auras.)
Having said that, that is why I was reluctant to share and figured that if I did share about WI, then I’d at least define the pros/cons of the WI scenario. It was also for that reason that I resisted waking up – I was heavily concerned that the subject was weird, and that I was going to be weird. I do not recommend to anyone that they choose to turn their body over to a WI – but then, most swaps are arranged by Higher Beings who assist in the process and the reorientation. And that is done while you sleep – if you do not qualify, or no one has a higher purpose for being a WI in your body, you will not remember the ‘selection process’ and nothing will happen.
And most importantly, the WI process is about the one coming in having a worthwhile (i.e., HIGHER) purpose for being here – they cannot just come in and party… they will be kicked out (which is what happened to the WI candidate that shared this body with the original occupant). They were both removed, as I said, Oct 26, 1998.
I don’t blame anybody for being skeptical and very careful around such claims. That is wise.
