Topic: Positivity and love, stolen from knowlege

I have been pondering a certain idea for quite some time now.  I was planning on writing a well organized post on it.  If I choose to do that then this will just be a sort of brainstorming session for it.

Since reading the cassiopean material last fall I began openning myself up to an aceptance of some of the conspiracy theoreis that I have read on the internet over the years.  Once I began to realize that the generaly accepted popular beliefs weren't neccessarily correct, no matter how much "sound science" and backing from famous celebrities they had.

I began reading in depth about love and hate, light and dark, positive and negative, knowlege and ignorance.  My understanding was that love, light, positivity and knowlege were all the same thing.  Conversely, hate, negativity, darkness, and restriction were the same.  I began thinking wow, I seem to like all of these bands that wear black, and sing what sounds like negative, and sometimes hateful themes contained within, and their music breeds stupidity in the listener.  Then I thought wait a minute, something is wrong with the previous statement, the music I listen to is all those things but it inspires deep thinking, and reflection upon the deepest themes in life.   I didn't dwell to much on that thought and instead began to think of how I could bring positivity, love and knowlege into my life through music.   I needed positive music, that contianed love, light and knowlege.  Aha, pop music is perfect!!!  It always contained themes of positivity always speaks about love and its the music stimulates and quenches the deepest most intelecutal need of mine for knowlege.    Wait a minute....  there isn't anything that makes people more satisfied with living in ignorance then pop music, that is except for syndicated telivision.

So what the hell gives,  how come in music, positive, love and light doesn't have anything to do with knowlege?  Well who controls music?  Corprate america.  Aha!!!!  The enemy.   So what did they do; they hijacked positive, love and light and associated it with ignorance.  Anyone who wants to hear positive music would get to listen to music with that inspirs little more then having sex with every person you can.  Ok so what about those who refuse mindless crap???  You have to listen to the negative, dark, sometimes hateful music.  It's an ingenous scheme really on their parts.   Ensnare everyone who seeks positivity and light in a a web of ignorance, and bog down those truth seekers in america with negative and dark themes.

When you think of X-files, a TV show about the search for knowelege and answers of the universe what do you get?  Darkness, fear,  generally non-optimistic themes.  Well lets find a positive, light, conterpart.  I haven't watched it on TV ever really but I think "Friends" fits this role.  "Friends"  was a happy, light comedy, that made people perfectly happy never thinking about anything more then love, sex, and normal jobs, showing how much excitment and intruige people could have living mundane lives.

This I believe results in a revulsion by truthseekers, to those themes of love, light and positivity.  My whole life I hated pop music, music about love, and positivity.  I did this becuase it was mindless crap.   I instead was drawn to the deeper music of Tool, Pink floyd, system of a down, radiohead, pearl jam, etc.  Now before I go on, some of you should probably have said Pink floyd pearl jam, and radiohead, aren't hateful.  No they really aren't but they are associated with darker more negative themes.

So to you truthseekers out there, if you wonder why you hate positive themes of love and light in the media, it was your only choice in seeking out truly inspirational and deep concepts.  It was orchestrated to maximize negative emotions in those most dangerous to our controllers. Negativity acts to derail us in our quest to throw off the veil of ignorance from society and expose them to the truth.

I have a feeling that this could be a powerful revalation and it has already meant a lot to me.

Re: Positivity and love, stolen from knowlege

There are many other examples of associating good concepts with bad things in order to fool the public.  The Bush adminstration is a perfect example.   His "Clean Air Act"  was nothing less then permission for industry to all out assault our environment.  The war on terror, has exponentially increased the terror world wide, and is itself using terrorist tactics against the terrorists.  The adminstration has created a term called "Sound Science"  which is about as science based as neighborhood gossip.

Oh and the best one, that if you protest Bush's patriot act and illegal spying programs because he they violate constitutional rights gaurunteeing our freedoms, then you are an enemy of freedom.  It's a campaign of confusion to see how twisted up they can get our minds...

Re: Positivity and love, stolen from knowlege

Well yes, it seems you have some very valid points.  Of course the PTB would rather have us in "happy-go-lucky" and very shallow mindsets.  So yes the "positive" pop music we hear definitely fits this description.  And yes, I agree it is used as a tool to keep our thoughts within a certain threshold.

Also, another thought about the "dark" music -- which I love as well -- is that perhaps this darkside is necessary in order to keep us in balance.  Also, it seems to be the only music which screams what we are feeling deep within our souls:  utter disgust with the way things are.

But certain "dark" musics seem to be getting hijacked by the corp enemy now too.  Of course they recognize that teens and us "weirdos" in society have a particular tendency to listen to this music.  So of course they would attempt to take it over and use it against us.  So now you end up with lots of "dark" music which has been infiltrated, containing messages and themes which put us in mindsets of self-defeat and general gloom.

To be continued ;-)

Good topic Capitan!

I too share the disliking of "popular" or "mainstream" music.  Always about love, break-ups, black guys rapping about -who the hell cares- with money and girls in the background, and the occasional happy go lucky inspiring song like that black eyed peas song "Where is the love?"

Good question!

It's funny sometimes, if you listen to that song they actually make good points, but we listen... maybe I shouldn't even call it listening, we just turn on the radio and turn off our minds.

At work they always have the radio on to the same station.  Then somedays I'll turn it off.. but nobody likes the silence, so sooner or later it gets turned on again. Heh.

Back on topic, I also listen to music with negative themes, and it just feels good... don't know how else to say it.  It seems like mainstream music has the same message (love, sex, money, fame) to hold people in that mindset all the time while these "underground" or "dark" bands set us free (e.g. think for ourselves), don't know why really... can anyone finish the rest?

Now I just have a question on my mind; why are we attracted to this type of music?

Re: Positivity and love, stolen from knowlege

Songs of a higher evolution are more attractive than those of a lower, even if they are dark and the latter are seemingly positive. By evolution I mean the level of sentience expressing itself through the song. Much of mainstream music is so shallow, glib, mechanical, cliche, mindless, and empty that it might as well be written by vegetables. Anything more sentient would be more appealing regardless of its orientation. Consider the art of H. R. Geiger compared to what you see hanging up on hospital or diner walls. Darkly sentient vs soullessly pleasant. It's the same type of phenomenon that drives people into choosing Luciferianism over mainstream Christianity.

Speaking of which, dark music is Luciferian by nature, which is the spirit of rebellion, rejection, power, and individualism. When you are dissatisfied with the status quo, the Luciferian energy is there to assist. Not that we must only choose between higher dark and lower positive, it's just that higher positive music is rare and dependent upon your tastes. My music collection includes both higher dark and higher light. When I listen to the radio, sure I can tolerate it but it never resonates my soul.

I'd appreciate it if you let me know about some higher light songs.

What got me thinking about this is the only time I am hear someone talking about a deeper meaning to life, whether it be by movie, song, comedy, its all dark.  I don't think you can get someone with a clearer view of reality then some of the comedy of Bill Hick's and at the same time you couldn't find a person more hateful.

As this sits with the Cassiopean, Pledian, Ra material they say that love is knowlege.  My experience is that those who have knowlege are angry and sometimes hateful.  It's one of those things that makes me want to scream WTF! and rip my hair out.

Also isn't luciferrianism the religion of TPTB?  They are the last ones to want us waking up.  It doesn't make sense to me.

I've felt very much the same most of my life. Until fairly recently the majority of the music I listened to had a fairly negative or darker edge to it. I too loved Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Radiohead and dozens of other similar bands. However, all my life I've been a very positive person and rarely if ever suffer from any kind of depression, and it often baffled a lot of people that I liked a lot of 'depressing' music even though I was a positive person.

However this last 18 months or so I have started finding music that is very positive and inspiring which now appeals to me. Although I have to say that a few years ago I probably would not have liked it at all, and I can't say whether many other people here would like it or not. I guess it's all to do with personal taste.

One album I'm really loving at the moment is something that Stuart Wilde was very involved with (he wrote some of the lyrics). I think the best way I can describe it is that it's a kind of spiritual opera. It's called "Heart Land" and it's a Tim Wheater album who composed and plays a lot of the music. I've actually owned it for about a year and I didn't like it that much at first, but I've recently rediscovered it and I've been listening to it almost daily. I find it incredibly inspiring and it definitely seems to raise my vibration when I listen to it.

There's three other albums by Tim Wheater that I also really like, although they are basically just instrumental albums (he plays the flute mostly). They are "Sound Medicine Man" (probably my favourite), "In Unity" and "Incantation".

I found a short interview with Tim where he talks a bit about Heart Land, at http://www.alternatemusicpress.com/feat … res17.html

You have to find what resonates with the higher parts of you. Mine are probably different from yours, but some songs by Therion and Edenbridge are what I had in mind, or classical sacred music like Monteverdi. Other people will have their own idea of what is sentient, empowering, and positive. True higher positive is probably what's called "objective art" or "objective music" but finding verified examples of that is close to impossible.

Right, the "valley of darkness" precedes enlightenment. But stay there and you'll probably meet the same fate.

The problem is that the mainstream gives us two choices: stay blissfully ignorant or face the dark horrific truth. There are too many examples of either to keep count. The latter would include all the angry activism, rude awakening literature, luciferian calls for rebellion, etc...

I believe that after you get sick and tired of looking through the glass darkly, you can face the truth with a bit less drama. That would be higher positive, what the C/P/R sources talked about regarding love being knowledge. I think they were trying to clarify that what society calls "love" is not really love, but rather something chemically "nice" or socially comforting yet absent of knowledge or wisdom. When popular songs sing about "love" it is like the moan of a cat in heat expressed through poetry. They make great wedding songs, funny enough.

That's the funny thing about the luciferian / STS archetype... you gotta step on others to get up and out. From what I understand, being initiated into their groups and rising through the ranks is a continuous process of transcending limitation and acquiring power, but at the expense of pissing on those below and sucking up to those above. The masses are way way down there getting pissed on by all of them. Nice, eh?

Amidst all the mainstream blandness, there are still a few gems. What I have done is try to find new music that tops anything I have heard before. The gems are few and far between. I bet if higher positive music were common, we wouldn't have to settle for the bitter stuff.

Re: Positivity and love, stolen from knowlege

Music is one very important tool for higher self connection for me. But I haven't think of negative/positive aspects this way.

What you wrote seems right Capitan, pop music talking about joy, love, relationships seem to be some lullabies- "sleeeep, sleep more". Also one can easily understand when controlled music enter to some alternative scenes.

Two current examples; Korn was a group I loved once, yes they are negative and dark but they had some soul for me. Did you watch new clip from them "twisted transistor?". Some producers decided they have some followers to "invade", it seems. Also the new clip from Pink, "stupid girls" - one of the saddest attempts I've ever seen. Hypnotize new generation with beautiful and synthetic girls, if someone wants to escape follow and capture them with some synthetic rebellion; "I don't wanna be a stupid girl". Do we have a sighing icon here?

Speaking of some dark music with very positive core, I see Amorphis' My Kantele as the best example. Amorphis is an interesting group, highly dark music with real soul in it. For me their best song is acoustic version of My Kantele. When I learnt what they meant with the song my respect for them arised more. The lyrics begin with "Truly they lie, they talk utter nonsense.." and seemingly the song is about a local Finnish musical instrument - kantele. The song seems to be an answer to claims that kantele is an old fashioned instrument. But I've read that they use kantele as a symbol and they talk about how christianity the church invaded local scandinavian beliefs/culture. Good symbolism they have there.

I agree, I've just recently begun listening to these bands and its very inspiring and energetic!

Another suggestion for the light music would be Bob Marley.  His songs are so amazing and I've grown up listening to him all my life, and his music never gets "old",unlike most mainstream music wink

Music has been one of the most exciting aspects throughout my life and I see it continuing that way.

The best feeling is when you "find" a song that you resonate with and have that feeling of pure joy that you keep listening to it for ever.  Some of these songs do tend to fade... but some of them can always be amazing, when heard under a new light - same with any form of art piece.

In the movie "Harry Potter," the Slytherin teacher commented "there is no right or wrong, there is only power."   Knowledge is power.   People in power will reserve the metaphorical "light" (knowledge, information) for themselves, and take measures to prevent it from getting out to anyone who they don't think should have it.   This is why governments have elaborate systems of security clearances, secret societies have oaths, and why corporations have document retention and privacy policies.  In the end, it's all about controlling other people.  Light for me, darkness for you, except on a "need-to-know" basis: what I need you to know, in order to accomplish my goals.  That's the essence of the idea.

Re: Positivity and love, stolen from knowlege

Thanks for the suggestions.  I think I was trying to express that the meanings of the songs the acutal lyrics are not very inspirational.  If you listen to a TOOL album and focus on the lyrics there will be at least one song where you will get a feeling like, "Holy crap, this is deep".  Same with Radiohead, and I've never really heard that from an optimistic, or lighter group.

To prove myself wrong, listen to the new gorillaz cd, its got a little bit of a deeper meaning to the last 3 songs.

Re: Positivity and love, stolen from knowlege

Music and spirituality have been linked, for me, for a long time.

That inexplicable breath of the divine makes an occasional appearance.

That sip of cool water to a thirsty soul.

No kidding.

Don't be confused.

Don't listen to what you THINK you should listen to.

Unabashedly listen to what moves you.

Even if that happens to be Celine Dion or Raffy, go for it.

Music is like food.

Children don't have a sophisticated palate, but they develop one.

It starts with puting your mashed potatoes and gravy in your milk and ends somewhere near, knowing which Chardonnay goes best with Duck a L'Orange.

Most of us are in between somewhere.

Trust your inner musical compass and enjoy.
