Topic: Dreams: Visiting "Higher" Realms

I fell asleep today and had a dream which included, among other things, a meeting with my deceased father. This is the 2nd, maybe the third time I remember visiting him (have visited my grandfather and grandmother, too).

The first time I can remember seeing my father was years after he crossed the threshold. It was very clear to me that he was no longer or rather not just my father but a spirit in his own right who was participating in a role for me. I was able to see and feel this difference...so the fatherhood boundary was less distinct and I even remember feeling a little wierd about it. Like I wasn't necessarily ready to know him in that way just then. But it was also neat to feel and sense the true and innocent sweetness that marked his nature.

In today's dream I experienced that true sweetness of his spirit again and realized also just how much of a gift it was that he was willing to play the role of being my father. And that he would continue to give a part of himself in that way until I had also left this world/or however long I needed him to be Dad.

Now, what I am wondering is does anyone else in here get the same sense that I get when dreaming these types of dreams, if you do have similar experiences?:

What I feel is that when I am dreaming, 99.9% of the time,  I am visiting elsewhere, often some of the same places or realms that I can travel around. Like communities, town or cities but very much lighter and light filled than our 3-D world. Things eminate light but are real. Very real. Sometimes better versions of where I have been on planet Earth. (Have read, since the very first time I experienced this type of dream,  that this 3-D world is a dull, dense, etc., mirror image of a more original and joyous existence.

Anyway, I have often felt when visiting these different places and realms that it is '"physically"  above this world. I have never been able to shake that feeling. So I tried to figure out a clearer and hopefully more accurate explanation for myself. And finally came up with that these various places are higher in frequency and that because I am in a physical 3-D body that this, however it happens, translates into a physical sense of 'aboveness.'

Does anyone else ever feel like this when they are dreaming/visiting? Or do you experience other sensations?

Re: Dreams: Visiting "Higher" Realms

I have also exerienced other people I know who have died. One friend who had a ski accident. He had very rich brown skin and very green eyes and I remember the extreme beauty of that contrast . And in the dream he did not speak but I understood that he wanted me to know he was perfectly okay. And like my other dreams he was "lit up." Really eminated a beautiful light and his eyes especially eminated bright light. We never talked but simply danced a slow dance. But this was also not a romantic or even sexual attraction or feeling but just  a very expanded  spiritual feeling, like with my dad. With both of them it went beyond any sense of them than what I had when they were alive here. Like they were "unzipped," too except I could still see their bodies [I think I mentioned when I unzipped  out of my body in another post. I will look for it later and if not, will post about it in its own thread sometime].

I remember one day  my mom invited me to have lunch with her and his mother. I had the strongest feeling that I should tell her about my dream about her son because I knew, even years later. that she was still grieving greatly. But my critical self said, NO WAY! She was, not a foot washing Baptist but closer than not, I believed. Very religious in any case. And so I decided that I had to keep my mouth shut, lest she think I was trying to get her to accept some kind of "blasphemy."

Then, during lunch my mom excused herself for a few minutes and there I was. Alone with my friend's mother for the first time in my whole life. The resaurant was light, airy and cheerful but near empty. And that feeling got stronger and I could not easily keep it in any longer. So I threw caution to the wind and spilled the beans. And you know what? My friend's mother smiled a happy and calm, peaceful smile and she said that it was okay (guess she knew I was worrying) and that she had also had dreams about him and that they had brought her much peace.
