Topic: New Years Resolutions

In case a few of you are having trouble keeping new years resolutions i found a few programs that might help.

http://www.softlookup.com/category.asp?ID=426 (sure people can find better ones if they want)

these are reminder programs that send a pop up to your screen at a certain time or after a certain circumstance.

The problem with these is that they're like alarm clocks... there's a snooze button.

I also decided i'd tell people my new years resolutions so there would be a few witnesses and so i'd have more motivation to follow through.

Stop Procrastination! (#1 priority by far)

Remember these resolutions

Meditate daily or at least every other day starting february.

Do some form of physical activity for at least 30 mins a day, also starting february.

Learn guitar smile

clean out the clutter on all my stuff (Hard Drive, Floor, Locker, ETC.)

Walk the Walk.

if you guys remember put a post in this thread like every month  to help remember but i'll try keeping up every one of these resolutions for at least a year, probably alot longer this is to get in the habit.

Re: New Years Resolutions

Last year was very dark for me... New year's eve I spent home with my flatmates, went to bed after midnight. On the 1st I thought "same shit, different date".... but sooo much has changed in my life in the past week .

Re: New Years Resolutions

Good for you Alushe, This week was a bad week in school (8 pages of a math test, an oral presentation and about 7 other tests sad ) GREAT week for EVERYTHING else! I reconnected with some old friends, made some new ones and i really started with the stuff i mean to do this year. smile

Re: New Years Resolutions

My resolution this year was not to make any resolutions this year.

I guess that means I failed before I even got started, eh...?

Re: New Years Resolutions

I usually don't make resolutions, but this year I did.  I stopped smoking at sundown on New Year's Eve, and I'm still off cigs.  It really wasn't so difficult after I made up my mind to stop.
