Topic: Rare Blue Moon Friday the 30th: Power Time

I just wanted to point out to everyone that there is a rare blue moon happening this Friday, December 30th at 10:12 pm EST here in the US.

We call it a blue moon when there is a second new moon that falls in a given month. They're relatively rare.

For those of you who notice energy shifts, you may find that new moons are usually "clear-headed" times when you feel less emotional baggage bothering you and find it easier to concentrate, create, and engage in spiritual work. This is because the new moons are like mini "New Years."  Electromagnetic effects happen in our etheric bodies which make it easy to expel negative thoughtforms, physical illness patterns, and other crud we've been carrying around. And new moons are also wonderful times for prayer, meditation, and personal "magic."

A blue moon is sort of like a new moon in TURBO mode, spiritually speaking.

So I wanted to let forum members know about it in case they'd like to access this great energy that is coming up Friday.

Expect the new moon energies to be strong on Friday and Saturday. Either time is a great day for spiritual work, setting intentions, engaging in peace prayers and visualization - you name it.

December 30th is also where the New Year energies really want to gather as we head into 2006. So if you're going to be making resolutions, I'd say do them at the blue moon instead of waiting until January 1st!

Correction:

Technically, a blue moon is when there is a second FULL MOON in a given month.  I had this term wrong.

However, there is an equally rare phenomenon of a second NEW MOON happening in a given month.

I can't find a name for this.

It does mean that the power of the new moon is doubled or in "turbo" mode.

It's just  not a blue moon.

Maybe we should start calling it a "magenta moon" because it's so metaphysically powerful?

Magenta sounds good.  Regardless, your article was quite inspiring and I sent it along to a friend who had planned to do a cleansing (smudging with sage) of her workspace on the new moon -- your article will hopefully add to her enthusiasm!
