Topic: Anyone familiar with.......

Hi,

Two nights ago I had a remarkable vision during a very energetic meditation, and despite searching, I have not really found any references.I thought I would sample the wealth of experience and knowledge on NR, to see if anyone is familiar with any myths or esoteric initiation with the same kind of elements as this vision had.

So, after about 15 mins of the usual breathing and toning I hit cloud 9 in the meditation and find my conciousness, clear as daylight, about halfway up a black/dvery dark greenish mountain. The essence/style of landscape is very similar to that in Lord of the Rings III where the two Hobbits had to climb the mountain.

The mountain has a recess or ledge that is very wide, and about 30 meters deep forming a kind of platform that juts out from the mountain face. I am placed on the edge of this platform in an elevated position, looking ahead at the mountain face, with a huge drop behind me. In front of me, built into the face of the mountain wall is a huge black/very dark green door. This door is curves into an archway at the top. There is a lot of jagged and pointy stonework surrounding the doorway about a metre wide all the way around the door itself - almost made of the same rock as the mountain.

In the centre of the door there is a raised, mainly circular ornament. made of the same dark material.

At the centre of this ornament there was a brilliant, glowing green point of light.

As I arrive the green light leaves its place in the door and starts to move around in swooping arcs in and around the doorway area, occasionally flicking out in my direction and then back again. Even when this brilliant, glowing green light is doing it stuff, there is still a bright green glow coming from the centre of the ornament.

The green light was almost mesmerising me, and I felt my conciousness zooming in towards the doorway at an incredible rate of speed, but I would always catch it at the last minute and zoom equally fast back to an elevated position at the edge of the platform.

At one point I did not catch my conciousness fast enough and actually zoomed through the door and a few hundred metres into a tunnel that sloped slightly downwards. I immediately turned around, and instead of a straight tunnel leading back to the doorway I was confronted with a highly complex labyrinth. I am good at doing mazes, (hehe), so I made it back outside quickly enough although it was a bit frustrating.

I have to admit that it would have been incredibly easy and tempting to enter into this mountain/temple but I resisted this. The thought kept going through my head "this is black magic".

This all went on for around 20 minutes - more real than real, and not at all dreamlike or slightly misted and fading - this was like being on the North Face of the Eiger at night.

I felt no fear or anxiety during the whole event.

I welcome any comments and ideas,

Warm regards

JT

While you were in this place, did you see anything specific besides a maze? Being good with mazes, and feeling safe there, why did you feel the need to leave without taking a look around? Maybe you just left out the details for brevity's sake. ^_-

Re: Anyone familiar with.......

Hi JT,

While I'm not familiar with the imagery you describe, or the experience, I am intrigued with the fact that you're able to meditate like that, in such a way as to get into an altered state, see visions, be on cloud 9 and all that.  I'd LOVE to pick your brain on how you do it!!     I can't meditate worth beans!!    I fall asleep or just get all distracted.  Mostly I end up falling asleep more than anything.   And the couple of times I've managed to connect to my higher self were just fluke miracles.   It's so bad that when I go to bed the joke is "I'm going to meditate!"  big_smile

Maybe this was already covered in another thread and I missed it, but if you don't mind sharing your experiences with meditation, that would be very cool.

Re: Anyone familiar with.......

Do you think this dream was indicative of a "test" sorta thing?  (guess that's duh... no offense).

The mountain, upwards climb, at the expansive ledge where there was some sort of safety so to speak.  No threat of "falling off".  Dark green-decaying life? but green very live light enticing you to look and discover, but with reluctance or rather carefulness with exploring further?  Light very effective in the task of engaging your quest for just what this was all about ?  Purpose to explore the boundries of current capacity with intent to see how far you'd go regarding such.

Do you think it is a push towards accelerated assimilation of VERY crutial info. The part about the jagged stonework brings to mind esoteric connotations, labyrinth is sequences of learning, not unlike learning advanced mathmatical calculations before you can do decay equations or whatever.  The glowing green light is a key (to me ), but I believe the part about no fear/anxiety was a biggie.  Personally I feel you passed whatever test that was presented before you,  Let us know about the next episode:)? Gotta be better than a "twinkie" fiction book?

Ironically I had an unusual dream the night of 13th (about 2 nights ago) a testing dream I think?  It would be rather interesting to pursue a concensus of such occurances among all of us to see if we come up with something worth investigating/exploring.  Couldn't hurt.

Re: Anyone familiar with.......

I've been having peculiar dreams lately also.

On the night of the 13th, I had a dream I went to a basketball court, where a big football player I know picked me up for fun over his head and started flinging me around his upper-body like a gymnastic stick or something. I held on to his legs (lower body) and stomach and held tightly to 'ground' me.

I'm pretty good at examining the dream and depicting what the symbology means in literal form. The subconscious always speaks in analogies.

I took it as meaning: I am partaking in things and progressing towards that which I'm not particularly experienced in. The lack of causes me to be spun around without direction and control. Furthermore I'm gripping the tools I do have to that which grounds me and keeps me safe and stable. That stagnates the process.

So this particular dream symbolized that I needed to 'let go' of my beliefs, concerns, and thoughts that act as grounding forces, and let a new-frontier of elements flourish.

Re: Anyone familiar with.......

Hi,

Lyra - I would be more than happy to share some meditation techniques with you. With meditation there is the obtuse and the intimate.

What I mean by this is that I could roll off any number of obtuse, generalised, superficial meditation techniques that would be as much help as a three page introductory manual to flying the space shuttle.

ie, point upwards, press ignition button and steer for that big shiny planet.

Many dont make manage to make it to the take off platform, let alone into orbit. So meditators tend to very easily end up circling earth for days on end instead of where you originally intended and end up easily disillusioned or have a lack of patience.

The real benefits and jumps forward are in the intimate details of meditation - adjusting your neck a fraction of a centimetre, breathing to achieve a certain sensation, feeling in a way that one is not used to feeling, sensing in a way that one is not used to sensing. Meditation is an incredibly sublime art, and changes in technique are often need to be made on a finite level as opposed to on an obtuse level.

So what I am saying is, lets do this by email if you wish because a listing of obtuse techniques on the forum would not necessarily do you any favours - it is the intimate details that make the difference.

Manyeagles - thanks for your analysis - Yes I guess one of the main aspects for me also was the no fear element, I found this quite significant - the same meditation three years ago would have had me reacting in fear - I have mostly cleared out my electric circuits now so there is not even fear that needs "managing" - it is just not there anymore.

I saw the vision as an initiation, and hope that it comes back in some format so that I can understand it.

If the temple door had been in light, and surrounded by fluffy white clouds and gargoyles singing sweet melodies I probably would have been more inclined to take a detailed look inside the temple.

Having said that, many things are dipped in sugar to give the appearance of sweetness and light in order to disguise the darkness beneath.

The lack of detail was not due to brevity - it was due the fact that I can only explain what I experienced - and this is the limit of what I experienced. I was not inclined to explore or look around because I was so AMAZED at what I was experiencing, and this was absorbing enough.
When I say that this took place over a 15-20 minute period this is rough attempt to put it into perspective - a year "over there" can be a "second" in 3D or the same in reverse.

So when listening to my feelings they were simply neutral, although I did feel a regular "pull or a tug" towards the temple that I could equate neither as positive or negative. What influenced my final decison to not go any further was simply the darkness of the place - so I played it safe.
Maybe there was some mythological hyperdimensional being in the temple that I needed to do battle with in order to graduate to the next initiation.
Maybe there was highly manipulative and powerful energy there that could tried to have sucked me in like in the same way that a reformed alcoholic does not even allow himself one single drink, let alone tempt his fate by walking into a bar. My fate is tempted every day as it is, without exposing myself to hyperdimensional trickery of the highest art and subtlety.

Maybe there was a temple of light behind the darkness. I dont know, because I chose to remain sitting on the fence.

I only hope there is a part II, and the decision I end up making in part II will be based upon my feeling at the time.

Warm regards

JT

Sounds like middle earth stuff to me. Personally, the dark rich green color, the illuminative green light, and the qualities of the earth that you described I find to be comforting and energetically natural.  May sound funny, but I wanna bury my feet in your meditation! HA! I find I want to go there!

I have to pause for a minute to say/write something here, based on your next words, because I've been sitting here for an hour thinking about this. I'm not directing my comments at you JT (okay joy-boy?), this is about my issue, though I may not be alone in these feelings--

JT wrote:

I kind of struggled with myself as to whether or not I even wanted to mention the "middle earth" here on NR because I was concerned my familiarity with it would be mistaken for 4D hyperdimensional smoozing or something like being some kind of a witch... I deplore this part of attempting to be an open person... worrying about how others may misinterpret me. BAH!  Forgive me please, for feeling this way.  It's not as if I haven't shared in those same feelings of "is this black magic?" many times in my life.  Lyra is always encouraging us to write more, but what seems normal to me sometimes, at the least, turns other people off.  ummm... sorry JT, I'm finished now.

With that said--

Last year I was thrust, in meditation, though not the same way as you, into the middle earth energy field and it had nothing to do with dark arts or underground bases.  I think when one enters that area of consciousness, done so for their highest good, they touch upon something deep within themselves.  Just as the earth subducts its material, so do we while having the human experience... especially given many incarnations or other-selves experiences. I was freaked out about it at first also--it's dark, it's scary, it's the UNKNOWN! I think sometimes it's hard to go "underground" because of the disconnection from the sun we may feel, it's very foriegn to experience another quality of light--but a friend of mine hooked me up with a real live Scottish Bard, in Scotland (imagine that!), named Mick (really cool guy!) who was very knowledgeable about Celtic Lore, he was able to explain a lot to me... like, during he whole meditation there was a boar with me, Mick explained that the boar was a Celtic animal spirit that brought fierce protection.  I learned a lot of cool stuff about myself down there and was able to begin to work on healing a big ole soul boo-boo.  And yes, the experience definitely had an initiatory/discovery air/feel about it. I'm a broader based person for the experience, but in the end the main thing was recollecting that part of myself.  Oh yeah, the gaining of that depth of earth energy grounding and the empowerment that came with processing that experience wasn't too shabby either.;)

Also, a few years ago, for about a 1.5 years I would go into meditation and suddenly find myself in dried up aquifers with my hands on the walls pumping energy.  The first time this happened I almost came unglued, there's a lot of earth over them there aquifers!  I have thought a few times that these two experiences were interconnected, kind of a give/give situation between human and planet.

I want to go back to the door you saw in meditation and some other thoughts we've shared--

Hmmm.... JT, were there any JEWEL like qualities to the green centerpiece?  I know you said it was dark, but green obsidian is very dark if a light is not shone through it.

No doubt, and maybe it was your Light...

Re: Anyone familiar with.......

Hi,

Yes the green light was gemlike - a veritable shining jewel - almost like when you shine a brilliant light through a piece of Moldavite. It was glowing like a christmas tree light.

Warm regards

JT

Re: Anyone familiar with.......

Yes, just like Moldavite also.  I have a rather large chunk of Green Obsidian and a lovely little piece of Moldavite, and they are both gorgeous when a light is shone through them, only Mother Nature makes colors like that.  I sometimes use the Moldavite piece during healing sessions along with 3 little tumbled pieces of Rose Quartz... they are very energetic together.
