Topic: .living in the matrix of the red pill.

what does the truth mean to you?

what would you give for the truth?

would you lie for the truth?

Re: .living in the matrix of the red pill.

We are the truth, I am the truth

I would give up all illusions for the truth

Telling lies within the illusion to preserve my freedom and truth is meaningless to me, so yes i would lie to illusionary authority but not to myself if i can help it.

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.

thanks for your reply doc.

what if the "self" is ultimately an illusion? if it is...to what extent are you willing to give it up?

i was also wondering how you can distinguish "illusionary authority" from your "self"?
are there any methods one can use?

Hi Paradox i dont pretend to have any great wisdom and my reply was more geared to showing how hard those questions are too answer from a general point of view, but easier from an individual point of view.

I have taken enough plant teachers in my time to show me that my ego is an illusion and the core me is awareness of being aware which are two very seperate things, of course you cannot completly give up your ego as it is an essential part your being that will last you for this lifetime so maybe it would be more accurate to say striving for balance and recreating the ego in a more harmonious way and intergrating the core me into it would be a way to find more truth and live by it.
However i am willing to give this up at death smile

As all of this illusionary authority stuff takes place in my head as i percieve the world, i think you have a good point about distinguising this from my self or ego on the one hand but if we engage the observor inside of us, the part that is seperate from the ego more often rather than seeing the world through the ego, then i think this offers a way to distinguish illusion or what others want you to think the way world is to how it really is.
From birth to death we are conditioned to see the world in certain ways and i refer to this as the illusion, whether by being brainwashed into believing vaccinations and fluoride are good things to spiritual lies     dogmatic religion and polititians telling us how to think. Its this world and its illusions that i have given up on and  dont mind lying to as i dont even feel part of it anymore.
I have always felt that we can learn far more by looking inside for the answers rather than outside.

Re: .living in the matrix of the red pill.

The world of the ego is to externalise (Blue Pill)

The world of the spirit is internal (Red Pill)

Simple as that - it's up to the individual to decide what is what, along with all the answers to the "what ifs".

Re: .living in the matrix of the red pill.

Trying to get rid of your ego is like digging a hole to remove your shadow.  I am starting to find out which activities feed the ego most and try not to put all my energy there (thought, especially judgement and expectation). My ego cherishes it's thoughts like they were some kind of reality or something. Makes it feel special, and in control (yeah, sure). I reading a good book now about the "translucents". It describes how people blend their awakening into their everyday life. Highly recommended.

Re: .living in the matrix of the red pill.

I am constantly struck by how each generation must relearn, tread the same ground anew.  Always with the new trappings of the time, of course. For example, how many here have read that famous folks from the past grouped into the term "transcendentalist".  Thoreau, Channing, Emerson, Meade etc.).  And even non-philosophers... Clements, Menken, Spooner, Blake.

There are, of course, many, many more.

The current infatuation with Aliens, MKULRA, Second Coming, Matrix, and yes Cassiopians... pale in significance to me.  Do we need all this, to explain what has been repeated for a couple thousand years?  They seem, to me, just a germ of enlightenment frosted over with layers & layers of "Modern" frosting.  Which covers the message.

Filtering, it would seem, has never been more important than today.

Want a sample:

INGERSOLL'S VOW

When I became convinced that the universe is natural–that all the ghosts and gods are myths, there entered into my brain, into my soul, into every drop of my blood, the sense, the feeling, the joy of freedom. The walls of my prison crumbled and fell, the dungeon was flooded with light, and all the bolts, and bars, and manacles became dust. I was no longer a servant, a serf, or a slave. There was for me no master in all the wide world–not even in infinite space.
I was free–free to think, to express my thoughts–free to live to my own ideal–free to use all my faculties, all my senses–free to spread imagination's wings–free to investigate, to guess and dream and hope–free to judge and determine for myself–free to reject all ignorant and cruel creeds, all the "inspired" books that savages have produced, and all the barbarous legends of the past–free from popes and priests–free from all the "called" and "set apart"–free from sanctified mistakes and holy lies–free from the fear of eternal pain–free from the winged monsters of the night–free from devils, ghosts, and gods.
For the first time I was free. There were no prohibited places in all the realms of thought–no air, no space, where fancy could not spread her painted wings–no chains for my limbs–no lashes for my back–no fires for my flesh–no master's frown or threat–no following another's steps–no need to bow, or cringe, or crawl, or utter lying words. I was free. I stood erect and fearlessly, joyously, faced all worlds.
And then my heart was filled with gratitude, with thankfulness, and went out in love to all the heroes, the thinkers who gave their lives for the liberty of hand and brain–for the freedom of labor and thought–to those who proudly mounted scaffold's stairs–to those whose flesh was scarred and torn–to those by fire consumed–to all the wise, the good, the brave of every land, whose thoughts and deeds have given freedom to the sons of men. And then I vowed to grasp the torch that they had held, and hold it high, that light might conquer darkness still.

Robert Ingersoll (1833-1899) was a famous attorney and orator whose brilliant lectures drew thousands. As a political figure, he came close to achieving the Republican party's nomination for governor of Illinois, but prejudice and intolerance denied him the opportunity because he was an atheist.

Has Icke really said anything better?

Or....has anyone ever read Whitmans "Leaves of Grass".  Pure, uplifting, raw spirituality!!!!!!

It seems so few, have bothered to pay attention.  It is, after all, "old".  New is always... well... newer.  Don't ask me why that translates "better".  A bit strong, I realize.  And narrow... there is much wisdom that has been written.  But, experience, self-discovery is always an internal growth... not from a book.

So, I don't mean to ruin anyones trip. but we miss much, in this process.

We each voyage in our own way.

Re: .living in the matrix of the red pill.

WEOPP,

Reading some sites relative to "translucents", i am struck by how similar this...

“I was overcome by a sense of relief,”  he reports. “A sudden feeling of inexpressible freedom. I even began to laugh out loud. My body was filled with happiness, as if I was suddenly getting a joke I’d been missing. For the first time I was feeling really good for no reason at all. I was totally here, in this moment. I could feel the trees around me, and hear the sounds without having to listen to thoughts telling me things needed to be different in some way. Everything was being experienced, but the ‘me’ was gone.”
http://www.ecomall.com/greenshopping/translucence.htm

... is to Ingersoll (above).

Re: .living in the matrix of the red pill.

While reading can assist in the voyage, like a map on a trip; it cannot beome the voyage.  That must be experienced.
