Topic: double rainbow

so we were out camping this weekend - very close to Algonquin Park ... and it was awesome - most of the leaves have changed colour and it's gorgeous

after our host had given us a tour of the lake up there with his boat (the whole time that we were on the boat i was in awe of the nature surrounding us), we were comin' back and i was talking with another friend about this book, The Holographic Universe which i just recently finished - and she was talking about stuff which reflected some of the ideas that i had mentioned ...  it was so amazing - we got off the boat, looked up, and noticed this rainbow that just happened ... then as we kept looking at it - it turned into 2 rainbows !!

before the second rainbow appeared on top of the first, we noticed that the first one was getting really intense in colour and clarity - i'm not sure if these pics do it justice but it was quite a scene - the bottom of the original rainbow was doing something funny 2, like repeating the original rainbow colour sequence but in a more tightly-packed area ... i'm not sure how the double rainbow is supposed to work though ... is it actually a reflection of the first rainbow ? ... this was my first time ever seeing one - just thought it was really amazing how that all kinda happened ... (and get this - my friend swears she saw a giant face in the clouds looking at us for a  few seconds - i didn't catch it, but she took a few snaps and showed me - it was kinda hard to tell from the pics on her tiny camera screen, but i'm waiting to get back the pics - hee hee - maybe it was her imagination, maybe it was something else, but all in all the whole thing was very magical tongue )

Re: double rainbow

That's funny, I spotted a 'double rainbow'  just last week walking out of school.  The outer rainbow that I saw was just as bright as the other.  A very inspiring sight indeed!

Re: double rainbow

referring to the "pole shift" discussion over in current events, maybe this double rainbow is a result of the two earths approaching tangency to allow transition from one to the other. maybe we're starting to perceive one reality juxtaposed with another as they coincide. i guess we jump from this one when the other is close enough?

Now that is definitely a first, oceanchild.  I haven't seen a double rainbow in person, but might it mirror a synchroncity you and the friend you were speaking with at the time share?  smile

Energy,

my friend and i were talking about the reflective nature of reality - how we tend to draw to ourselves what we are and experience / perceive reality based on that - what's inside and how well we can see 'what is'... and the conversation lead to the idea that right now, the main struggle that we - that is, some of us - are facing, is this internal struggle ... maybe struggle's a bad word ... but i think you prolly understand what i mean wink

... self knowing ... *sigh*

Ian, we were somewhere between Bancroft and Haliburton - near the southern tip of the park ... here's a pic of view from the boat:
