Topic: 'What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge bullets?'
Hey all,
I thought I would just share a story with you all, an example of something good that has happened to me, and I guess has happened to many others. I was laying in bed about three or four nights ago just trying to go to sleep, and my mind was wandering around as normal having different thoughts. But out of the blue, something clicked in my head regarding the Matrix movie and the symbolism within it. I haven't seen it for over a year I'd say, but for some reason something all of a sudden just made a lot of sense. I have looked this topic up already and found that it's been in regards to psychic attack however I think the meaning for me is much more physical and in the forefront of my recent and current life.
I refer to this line in the movie....
Neo: What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge bullets?
Morpheus: No, Neo. I'm trying to tell you that when you're ready, you won't have to.
Which basically means that once he has the right ammount of knowledge he will be able to stop running from these things that are trying to kill him, and be able to stop them with his mind so that they no longer affect him.
I guess for the majority of my life, I had a pretty cruisy ride with no real problems or hurdles. However in the space of about 3 years, everything was turned upside down with 'bad' events one after the other. I felt a bit like the evil terminator is T2 -- where he gets shot and blown up, but keeps coming back. I felt like that, but towards the end of the rocky ride I felt like I was on the ground and not able to get back up. But for some reason I did and at the time I was not sure why. I know im pretty strong minded, but even to me it just seemed I should have keeled over - at least thats what others around me expected. But looking back and understanding this new knowledge that has increased 10 fold in the past 6 months, the quote from the Matrix rings loud and clear, and is something I guess I was learning subconsciously.
Events that continue to occur, that would be considered 'bad' by many others no longer affect me. I no longer have to fight to try and get back up, or pretend that the events aren't happening which is something I guess I did at times. Now I am able to stare them in the face, and see them for what they are. They cannot harm me, and nothing can get me down or bring me to a lower level. So no longer am I dodging bullets, or certain events that are thrown at me. They are just experiences that can only be for positive reasons.
Thanks for reading,
Matt
