Re: The Mystery of Jesus

Tell it to Pat Robinson, first killer for 700 club. So how many years was your Jesus dead before the first gospel was written. Are you going to swallow the entire thing whole, bite into it deep, the garden of agony,(who was there besides Jesus, to write of it), the star of his birth, the tricks to wow the crowd.  The bodies are stacked from here to he moon and baclk and you posters think you got it right. Amazing. I just love  the God fearing. Have fun.

Re: The Mystery of Jesus

Well, Krazor, I think it's clear by now you just don't see the difference between the teaching and the twistings of that teaching, and I don't think you want to.

But just for the heckuvit, here's an excerpt from the Yeshua channeling
I mentioned earlier, on the subject of violence:

I come here tonight to affirm another Universal Truth: Violence only begets violence. Does this mean that you should not defend yourself, or those you love, or the land you call home? I will not say that there are not times when difficult decisions must be made. And as always, there is no judgement. And sometimes violence must be experienced to open oneself, and one’s nation, to other possibilities. But I will not stand here and say to you that violence is ever an appropriate response to a situation. It may serve the short term end, but it is an energy that has been released and must be brought back into balance, and that balancing may come in a generation or later, but it will come. And I also promise that if we look back at our history on this planet objectively, we will soon find that violence was always the first choice and never the last.

Violence in your world was, and still is, big business. It has been made acceptable. It has been justified. It has been glorified. It has been turned into entertainment. I am not chastising, just stating the obvious. It is your choice. And it is honored.

I also inform you of another Universal Truth, and that is that the violence you see in the outer world will not cease until the violence in the human heart ceases. The war and hate and injustice you witness on the planet is very simply the outermost manifestation of the war and hate and injustice raging in the hearts of humanity. One of the great truths written on this planet is the Hebrew saying, ‘To save one person is to save the world.’ It is absolutely true. Heal your hearts. Love yourselves, and each other, and by that very act, you send out a greater wave of love than you can know which instantaneously reaches everyone and every place on Earth. It even radiates out to the very end of the Universe. That is how powerful your love is.

I think this too is relevant to this thread:

... the simple truth is, my friends, I am not now a Jew. I am not now a Christian. I never was a Christian. That is the religion that sprang from the hearts and minds of others. I do not accept labels which separate. I do not accept divisions. I do not accept walls and fences, in whatever form they take.

And my dear, sweet, beloved sisters and brothers, I did not die for your sins. What you call sins are the greatest tools you have for learning and growing, for comparing experiences and making better choices. Your "sins" -- your struggles and challenges and weakness -- are your greatest gifts because it is through these experiences that the sons and daughters of God become the Co-Creators with the Source Of All That Is. It is how you claim your birthright.

What a hullabaloo there would be in orthodox Christianity if
that piece of info was disseminated! That is, if they would even listen in the first place...

Re: The Mystery of Jesus

I see the whole Jesus thing as a Conscious Drama developed bya group of people, or an Esoteric School and then played out....Judas was Jesus' closest and most conscious disciple and thus he got the hardest part in the play... there's a good song on all this by ROY HARPER called,  Dont You Grieve.

In Revelations the "number of the beast" is actually(as far as i can tell) the number of Jesus and refers to the Worship Of Jesus As God-ie., Christ was there before Jesus.

Much of early Christianity- its form, rituals and so on etc WERE taken from Ancient Egypt, only not the Egypt we know rather, the pre-historic Egypt. Of course we have some idea through the later legends and acretions etc.

The Early Church Fathers though knew something real- knew about the inner-allegorical content which refers to the "self".  The Gnostics also- but their ideas of Evil and the dual creation were a corruption unless applied to the "self" and our dual inner world- the wolf and the lamb, personality and essence, asleep and awake.

What is "evil" is whatever keeps you from awakening and what is "good" is what helps you to wake up, so to speak.  The idea of a conscious Evil was always a corruption of the allegory- as in "Why does God allow suffering" and so on.

Judas would have to be seen as necessary.  What's interesting is that Jesus handed the bread to Judas, after which a devil entered into Judas.  Then Jesus tells Judas to go do what must be done.  What's really going on here?

In Revelations the "number of the beast" is actually(as far as i can tell) the number of Jesus and refers to the Worship Of Jesus As God-ie., Christ was there before Jesus.

Yes, the Solar Square.  Whether or not this is true, in that worshipping a human is always a setback, the writer of Revelation sure seemed to think so.

Much of early Christianity- its form, rituals and so on etc WERE taken from Ancient Egypt, only not the Egypt we know rather, the pre-historic Egypt. Of course we have some idea through the later legends and acretions etc.

I believe this also.  Too much Isis/Osiris/Horus going on, but it could be more along the lines of being a universal story and it coming through Egypt than it deriving from there.  What is interesting is that Judaism came out of Egypt, and it well may be that Jesus came out of Egypt, also, so there could be something to it originating within Egypt.  There's something about Egypt, so much as it's come to mean the physical body/lower spirituality.

What is "evil" is whatever keeps you from awakening and what is "good" is what helps you to wake up, so to speak.  The idea of a conscious Evil was always a corruption of the allegory- as in "Why does God allow suffering" and so on.

The way I see it, it is a matter of freewill that evil exists.  To be able to make a choice, you'd have to be in an environment that wasn't always conducive to doing the right thing.  Otherwise, it's not free will.  Also, for good to exist along with freedom, there'd have to be the opposite of good, or you're restricting freedom.  If we were never given the option to exist in an "evil" reality, we wouldn't be free.  So, for the Creator, it would seem that the highest good is freedom, but there are consequences in that you reap the energy that you sow.  Just because I can do something dark doesn't necessarily mean that being dark is okay or just as good as being light.  It merely means that I have been given the liberty of a choice.   Destroying means eventual destruction of an environment in which destruction wouldn't even be an option, along the lines of a prison, but creation will always include the possibility for darkness because it must allow for choice in order to be good.

But what do I know?

* When we start identifying wisdom with our ability to comprehend its form, what wisdom is that?
* Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
* People want platitudes, not progress.

I think that the only "right" choice for me is to surrender any illusions that i am capable of making a "right" choice consciously, and by trying to get my "self will" out of the way and trying to be as "present" as possible i may increase the possibility that something else, which is conscious, can "work" through me (in terms of energy at any rate). So in context of the Christos story- I make my self available to the descent of the Dove. I have a certain amount of control over my body so I  can work with that, and I can work with stopping my reaction (at least the expression of it) and I can try separating the feeling of "I" from the endless stream in my head- these are where my choices are.

Mind you I am not very "good" at it....and there isn't even an "I" here anyway- just a multitude of competing structures with only some working for the above and they go to sleep quite regularly.

Associative thought just coming through- i don't want 'free-will' i want the 'expensive-will' it is better quality- just have to figure out how to pay for it.

Being somewhat a gnostic in my approach, I agree in fully realizing one's awareness, but I think that freeing one's self from the illusion only allows you to choose what illusion to participate in.  The goal would be to consciously choose your path and follow it, not be aware of the path all the time, since I think one loses grace when they don't allow themselves to be a part of the flow.  To be fully conscious of your path is to continually seperate yourself from it.

Freewill comes into play in that you can choose to break out of the illusion any time you want by being aware of it on some level, which, of course, is "expensive" in the manner that it takes great effort to reach that state of conscious freewill.  Freewill is the best quality there is, it is just better to realize that you possess it in order to more fully express it.

Re: The Mystery of Jesus

Bashar on the Christ consciousness--his ideas about the 'second coming' are in sync with mine.

I think this is particularly relevant to this discussion:

The idea of this consciousness is that it not so much wanted ‘followers’, but that each and every one of you were ‘Christ consciousnesses’. The idea of ‘following the way’ is not a matter of being subservient, but being equal, and reflective. Being that energy that was being demonstrated. That is the ‘way’.

A: One event on this planet that is causing some excitement is happening in London with a Pakistani individual called Maitreya, who is said to be representing ‘an unfoldment of Christ’…

B: In a sense. The idea of what you term in your language, ‘the second coming’, is not something that will be manifest in a single individual, but in the awakening of that spirit of consciousness within every individual, because that consciousness is the same thing as the ‘world spirit’. Many single individuals can and will manifest it, perhaps in an accelerated form, because the reality in which you now live will allow this form to be more accelerated. So, you may find that the vibration you call ‘Maitreya’ will be one gate through which this energy can express itself, but that doesn’t mean that it cannot express itself through any of you.

A: It seems we have over the centuries put the emphasis not on the teaching, but on the teacher.

B: Yes.

A: How about the Course in Miracles?

B: The world spirit did communicate that work, but there will always be some filtration that will be some interpretation in the symbology of those through which the information came, so that you can relate to it. It simply is not in the form that you would perceive it were you a nonphysical being. Being a physical being brings with it certain parameters that must change any communication from a non-physical to a physical state in ways that allow you to even understand the concepts. So, sometimes you will find that certain ideas will be presented, and they may have a certain coloration. It doesn’t mean that it is literally the only way to relate to it. It simply means that the individuals that brought that forth are of a particular vibration, and that other individuals are of that same vibration, that they will relate to those symbols, and therefore in that format the information perhaps will have the widest appeal for the particular vibration it was intended for.

A: What does the manifestation of the vibration of ‘christ consciousness’ now, in history, mean?

B: It tells you that you have reached the end of a cycle, and that you are now beginning to remember who you are. If you want to find the idea of the embodiment of this, go home and look into a mirror, and then start acting as if you are that embodiment, and you will be fulfilling the idea

A: How about personalities who exemplify this vibration in a historical sense?

B: Sometimes they are concentrations of focus of the world spirit as an action in an archetypal or symbological way, so that they will function as a reflection of the state of the world at that time. Do you follow? They are projections of the world spirit.

A: And these can take place at any time?

B: It is always ongoing. Remember that it is a living idea. The past is only an illusion anyway. You create it with your ideas of space and time. It is all existing right now.

Re that last response, this applies to Jesus too, of course...Jesus lives, just like Elvis! smile

That's what always bothered me the most about the whole Christian religion... that people made him into a deity to be worshipped and followed rather than recognizing that he was a very evolved Soul that came here to show us who and what we really are and what we're capable of - "this you too shall do and more."

His message really got distorted over the years.

Re: The Mystery of Jesus

Several times in the Bible Jesus is quoted as saying, "Those that have ears to hear, let them hear."  I think he knew that not everyone would "hear" his real message, and that he would be mis-heard and misunderstood by many.  This is true of most wisdom teachings.

Re: The Mystery of Jesus

Just found this, I like it...

Judith Coates: Jeshua Speaks About - A Personal Relationship With God

Jeshua Speaks About: A Personal Relationship With God

Beloved one, I have heard it said that, with my teachings as
they are now and as they have been in the past - for they have not
changed - as I speak to you that you are an extension of the Father
come forth into this point of focus, that you are divine, that you are
equal masters with me, you are the Christos in expression and in
extension, ones have been saying, "But you have taken away my God. You
have taken away the entity that I have known as God. Who do I pray to
now? Who is out there who is going to save me?"

For many generations you have been taught and you have
believed that there is an entity that is going to save you; something
greater than yourself. You have said, "I am just an individual; I
cannot see the whole picture; I don't know what is best to choose; I
don't know how to go out; I do not know how to come in; therefore,
there has to be someone greater than I to whom I can pray who will
save me."

I have said unto you, "I cannot save you." First of all, you
are not lost. Secondly, I have no more magic powers of divinity that
you have, for you have them all. You are All. You have come from the
space of Allness, of wholeness. And when you begin to contemplate
that, you go through a phase of disillusionment - a good place to be -
but also a place of confusion, a place of loneliness, a place of, "I'm
all alone here. If there is no God out there somewhere to save me, if
there is no Jesus, no Jeshua to save me, how am I ever going to be
saved?

You save yourself. "But how do I save myself? I do not know
enough. I can read all of the books" - and you do. "I can go to all of
the workshops" - and you do. "I can speak with the teachers and rabbis
and priests" - and you do. And yet you feel still confused and lost.
For the idea to save yourself is just that at that moment; it is an
idea; a nice idea, but you say, "How do I do it? I am but one small
bit."

There is no separation

Now, truthfully, we have spoken to you over and over and over
that there is no separation. You see yourself to be individual, yes,
because that is what the body tells you. There is delineation of body;
there is delineation of personality and abilities and talents.

You choose for yourself a certain name, a certain profession,
and you say, "This is who I am." And you feel that you are separate in
that from others who have chosen another profession or who have a body
that they activate that is seemingly separate from you, and yet no
body is ever separate from another body, because the Christos energy
that activates your body is as the aura - you have heard that term -
that blends with the aura, the Christos energy, of another body.

So even the bodies, as they appear to be separate, are not
separate one from another. Then you go through a certain phase where
you say, "If I believe, as Yeshua speaks to me, that I am an extension
of the Father, that I am an equal master to all of the masters I have
ever read about, heard about in all of my lifetimes, if I can even
believe there is a lifetime beyond this one or before this one, who
then guides me? Who can I talk to? Who has the knowledge, the greater
knowledge; who I can pray to?"

And there is a feeling of sadness that comes from the belief
in separation. In the beginning, before even there was time - because
as I have spoken to you many times, this reality believes in time, but
not all realities believe in time - but in the beginning before there
ever was the thought of time, there was Intelligence, there is
Intelligence. There is awareness; there is consciousness; there is an
Isness. And with that Isness came Thought - capital "T" - a Thought to
experience, to expand, to express, to go into all worlds that could be
imagined.

We have spoken how you have created the various
constellations, and you have played in different ones. And when you
reached a place of feeling completion with certain experiences on
other planets and other constellations, galaxies, you came and - as a
joint effort, for there is no separation - you brought forth our holy
Mother Earth.

Over a lineage of time you began to become very identified
with the creations to the place where you forgot Who created, and with
came a feeling of separation and a belief that you had to defend that
which you had created. You had to defend the body; you had to defend
the family, the dwelling place, etc., to the place now where you have
much that you call your possessions which you feel you want to keep,
and you have to perhaps defend.

If another one wants the possession and you don't want to
give it away, then you have to, in your thinking, defend it. But in
the beginning before all of this lineage of the descent into the point
of focus of density, you knew yourself to be God.

Do not your own Scriptures say that ye are gods? You have
that written in your Scriptures even in this day. Ye are gods. You are
gods. And when you move from the place of believing that there is a
power outside of you that somehow if you pray to it rightly, speak the
right words, go to the right church, do the right ritual, this entity
outside of you will perhaps intervene and save you, you work through a
most wonderful evolutionary phase of thinking.

A period of adjustment

When, at first, you remove the idea that there can be someone
outside of you that is greater than you, there is, as I have said, a
period of confusion, a period of adjustment. It is a scary place to be
at first, because what you do is you begin to expand the image of
yourself. You begin - and you have already started to do this, even as
you felt that there were separate entities you could pray to - you
have begun to expand what you feel reality around you can be. And you
pray to all of the various masters, guides, teachers, and angels,
anyone that you feel is around you that you can pray to, and this is a
very good step. But it is that: it is a step.

The next part of the step is to realize, "I am they. There is
no separation. I am the God that I seek. I, as I understand myself to
be individual, am a point of focus." Now, we have spoken many times of
the soul group, and we have spoken of how you are the point of the
soul group, that you are the one who has said, "I will go point in
this lifetime; I will be the point." And all of the rest of the soul
group is backing you up. So what you do is, you allow yourself to
expand your self image from the lower case "s" to the capital "S".

Allow yourself to feel, "OK, I am, perhaps, as big as my
aura." Start with that first. "I am the Godhood of my aura." And then
you begin to say, "But where does it stop?" Is it like four inches
away from the body? Is it six inches away from the body? Is it maybe
two feet, three feet? Maybe all of the auras overlap." And they do.
And this is why you as the sensitive one, can feel energy when you
walk into a room, or even if you don't physically walk into a room,
you can feel the energy shifts and changes in your world.

There is much that is shifting and changing, and you may
count it all as good. For, in truth, as you till the soil you have to
turn up the rocks, and that is what is happening now; the soil is
being tilled for a new crop. And in that tilling there is going to be
much of the upheaval. It has to be so for the new crop to be planted
and to grow in a healthy manner.

So you are going to feel some of those changes, and you are
going to want to know, "Who, Where is my God? I want to have a
personal relationship with God." You have been asking that for a long,
long time. You have sought God in the mountains; you have sought God
in the valleys, in the trees, in all of nature, forgetting that you
are the One who brought forth all of nature in the first place.

Your self image is expanding. You are beginning to understand
that the personal relationship with God that you desire is always
there, has always been there, does not require that you sing certain
hymns (or hers!), that you do certain rituals, that you go to approved
places of worship or of workshops, that you don't have to fulfill any
requirements of living so many lifetimes as a servant in order to then
say, "OK, been there, done that, completed; now I want to be master."

You as God are already everything. Allow yourself the
personal relationship with yourSelf. Begin to understand that all of
the supposedly separate entities you have prayed to in the past are
aspects of you-which they are.

You have set certain ones above you; you have said, "They are
wiser than I am." Or you have said, "Perhaps they are not wiser, but
they have a better viewpoint; they can see more of the whole than I
can; therefore, they must know more than I do." So you call them up on
your worldwide web, you type in their name or whatever; you can do
this physically with the fingers or you can do it mentally with the
masters you revere; just call them up and say, "How does it look from
your perspective?" You breathe; you allow.

You are beginning now to understand your Godhood; not your
humanhood - that you don't understand either, but that's another
topic. You are beginning to understand your Godhood, how great you
are. And you begin to put yourself personally into that space.

If you were to imagine a most wonderful circle of light, a
spotlight, and you are standing outside of the spotlight, and in the
belief in separation you believe it is there, you are here, but you
would like to be in that spotlight. Well, there's nothing holding you
back from moving over into the spotlight. Or, if you want, you can do
a bit of the finger crooking and bring the spotlight to you. All power
is given unto you.

So you are now in the spotlight, in this circle, and you
begin to understand that the spotlight itself does not have
limitations. As you stand in that spotlight, you begin to feel the
radiance of it expand, and you expand in it, as well, to the place
where you do not know boundary. All you know is radiance of the
Christ, unlimited. And you feel yourself personally involved in that
relationship because you have placed yourself personally in the middle
of that spotlight, and all around you is the personal relationship
with God.

The more you do that, the greater the understanding of the
circle grows in your awareness. Now, as you play with that, the God
that you have prayed to lifetime after lifetime, the God that you have
prayed to that sometimes you have felt didn't hear you, fades into the
distance. It becomes as a no thing. It becomes as it truly is, an
untruth, because that God, as an entity, is limited. That God that has
been believed in for so long and been put forward by your religious
leaders for so long has never existed. That God that would be
judgmental does not exist.

When I spoke of God as Abba, as the Father, which meant more
than just father in biological terms, it meant a loving relationship,
a relationship that was expansive, all-encompassing, which did not see
any faults, which did not see anything except the divinity of the
creative holy Child.

I tried to explain as best as could be expected in that time
that God is not an entity separate from you. God is in the mountains,
yes. God is in the valleys, yes. God is in the trees, yes. God is
everywhere; anywhere you put your consciousness; not even limited to
this reality, but anywhere you put your consciousness; spaceships as
well, of course; anywhere, everywhere, God Is, and you Are.

You have a personal relationship, because you have chosen now
to awaken to it, and you have said, "I will personally put myself in
the light. I will allow that spotlight to be on me, and I will come to
know that spotlight to be all-encompassing and not even limited to
what I understand in this moment. It is not even limited to that. I
leave it open," because we have spoken many times of improv. In the
next moment, the next day you may have a revelation that says, "But
that spotlight, it is much huger than I ever thought it to be. It
takes in all of space. It takes in everything that has ever been
thought of or ever will be thought of."

It takes in what your scientists and philosophers now call
the string theory of energy, where everything that is manifest comes
from Énow they have gotten this far with it Éthat it comes from sparks
of energy which are as strings. Some of these strings are as strings
that just dangle; some of them are more as rubber bands; they shift,
they change. And your philosophers are not quite sure why they do
this, but they have their formulae that explain the strings.

The next step: they will understand why the strings move in
certain ways according to Intelligence - capital "I" - or Thought -
capital "T". They will have fun "proving" that.

Everything is You. You are the spark of Intelligence that has
been from before time. I have said that to you over and over, and it
is beginning to now find a peg within your consciousness where it can
land and hang for long enough that you can mull it over a bit. There
is no separation. You are All. You are an extension of the one
Creator. You are divine. And your personal relationship with God is
that You are All.

If you would know personal relationship with God, put
yourself in the light. Play in the light. Expand the light. And then,
laugh.

So be it.
