Had bad eye infection last week

I just got over a horrendous eye infection. The ophthamologist said it was viral, and that makes sense because the antibiotic eye drops I used were useless. I did some research and found it was probably an adenovirus. It also spread to my entire body the last 2 days and I was bedridden. Some interesting info on adenovirus: it is very hardy, survives in swimming pools, unaffected by routine antimicrobial cleaning practices with alcohol. Also, adenovirus is being researched as a "vector" to carry changes into the DNA, possible cancer treatment.  I found it interesting that on Cliff Carnicom's site he has a list of visitors to his site. Amongst the slew of govt and defense names, there are a few pharmaceutical companies, the first one listed is Allergan. They are a leading producer of pharmaceutical opthalmic solutions.
