Re: OIL IS NOT WHAT THEY'RE TELLING US IT IS

While I believe foregoing oil consumption is for the best, I also question whether or not it is possible to synthesize oil.  Or, at least, to create synthetics that will act more or less like gasoline in car engine.

Re: OIL IS NOT WHAT THEY'RE TELLING US IT IS

a friend was explaining to me about this one procedure u can do to switch your car's fuel system and instead of using gasoline it will use propane or other gas, the kind that some homes use to power stove etc. he also said u can buy a kit that will essentially be able to fill up your car with the gas from your home.

interesting i thought, though i dont know much more on this whole procedure... maybe someone else knows what im talking about

This a very scary thought.  We are taking oil (I will refer to oil as mass from here on) out of the ground then dump it in the atmosphere (gases) which means not returning it to the ground.   Yet, the oil in the ground is replaced with new oil.   The mass in the ground is finite (or at least that is what we learned in school) so at one time or another oil will stop flowing from underground and the planet will cool down due to the loss of magma in absolut terms.  This means that the density of the planet (not including the atmosphere) is decreasing.  Now how significant this decrease in mass is I have not quantified.  I also do not know how many thousand of years will be required for the loss of mass to be signicant assuming we continue to use oil as the main source of energy.  But, I can say that the results will be absolutely catastrophic (earthquakes, weather anomalies, etc...).
