Wasn't there a topic in this section about Lyra getting a bike and some discussion of gas prices? What happened? Am I daft and looking in the wrong section? Or did the topic get deleted?
Yes...........and you could always privately contact the person who started the thread, or montalk the webmaster in order to find out what's going on, instead of starting another topic about it and creating a big announcement to put the spotlight on it. 
If something is deleted, it's usually for a reason. I just wonder why people always wonder if they're senile or "daft" when something disappears......? Me, I just assume it was deleted, and for a good reason.

Was not a "big" announcement, love. It's the only way I am familiar with finding out what is happening. MAKE A POST! What is the harm? Since I am not on the 'puter much I am not so familiar with the ways! But, now I know. And now I need not take up bandwidth in this way.

Well, it was a silly thread, so, I guess I'm not getting all the concern for its whereabouts. Certainly it wasn't important enough to justify starting a thread to ask about it? At best, it warranted a private email, but, that's just my opinion. Again, if you'd like to know why it's been removed, please email me.
Also, I noticed that you were asking Sedna Sphere in another thread about a "Smoking" thread. FYI, that was a thread that happened over a year ago, which I started, and which disintegrated into absolute negative malarky due to several posters. So, when I cleaned out my old threads back in July of this year, that one went out the door as well, because there were no new views or posts, it was buried at the bottom of the pile, full of negative bunk, and not worth the bandwidth to keep it around. But if you have any questions about all this, please feel free to email me on the side, my email addy is listed when you click on my name. Kind of strange that there have been two threads by me that you're on the hunt for in less than an hour which have been deleted for varying reasons. Weird. !

Intrude on! I thought the thread was interesting also. So, I would like to start a thread along the lines of bicycles and alternative means of transportation. If you are interested as well, then you are in good company. See you and anyone else (ehem, Lyra) in General Discussion.

It was deleted out of frustration. 
In my opinion, it took a slight nosedive away from its original intention by people who were uh, well meaning in their advise that I should tote a gun while biking around my neighborhood...in Charlottesville, Virginia....or be aware of all the "crazies!!!!" who want to prey on me....in Charlottesville Virginia.....cause I'm just so darn good lookin' like that 
all of which just disintegrated the thread into total ridiculousness and fear mongering. I mean, I'm almost *31* years old....not 5. I think I'm well aware of things. I don't need to be parented. So yeah, it was impulsive to delete it I'm sure, but oh well. I wanted to delete it on Sunday after reading some of those comments, so frustrated was I. I waited til Monday, and I still felt the frustration and had lost all desire to even post in the thread after that, so, DELETE!!! Thook emailed me yesterday and I suggested to him that he should start his own bike thread, and that it would probably be much more successful, and have better results, than mine did! 
When it was "me"......a "cute, helpless little girrrrrrl!" doing the thread it brought out schtuff that wouldn't have ever been mentioned were I a guy. That REALLY annoyed me. (Altogether now!! Let's sing it! Take it away, Gwen!)
