Topic: Christianity & Brainwashing....
I know this particular topic can be a touchy subject, so let me say that I dont view all Christians this way. THere are many Christians out there who are "aware"....their knowledge of the "forbidden" knowledge in conjuction with thier own faith makes them all the more "prepared" so to speak....
However, I just gotta say that I am running into a lot more Christians that are..ummm.."BRAINDEAD"when it comes to whats really going on in the world. My Cousin became a Christian a couple years ago and I never spoke out against it...I accepted his new way of life.
And even after a few years of studying religion in depth & discovering Christianities pagan roots ala Sun Worship...I still accepted his decision. I could see that he was happier with his life. He even got married and settled down and became a teacher. This is a man who was once in trouble with the law...So it was great to see. And like I said before, I never judged him, we always had talks about God and faith as I myself was a alter boy for many years and enjoyed being in the church (until the reverend started swearing during the services under his breath....LOL). Since he has become more involved with the "Church", there has been a rapid change...almost like hes been "replaced". He's become intolerant. Extremely judgemental. And when ever I am around him I feel as if I dont "measure up" to his standard of holiness and yet he was the rebel when we were growing up...Im 26 hes 27...
He reminds me of Kirk Cameron who when he became a Christian completely cut his friends off including all his castmates. He has since apologized to his Growing Pains Cast members. They say his conversion to Christianity is what ended that show. He became very..."elusive" after he became a Christian and this is exactly what has happened to my Cousin...
Couple weeks ago I decided that it was time to let my cousin know about what was really going on in the world. Lately I've just been feeling that way. To just stay silent and not say anything at this point would be wrong. And because he is family, I figure I'd take a shot at trying to "enlighten" him. I also was sensing at the time like many other people that the next attack would be upon us and sure enough..."They" delivered....
So I went to visit him for a weekend...and I tried to explain it as best as I could. Usually I start off with 911. And given his parents live in "Houston" of all places, it made sense. His dad works around a lot of oil guys and hears all kinds of stuff about Cheney. So it really made sense to go that route....BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!!!! Im used to stubborn opposition from strangers or casual friends, but this is my cousin who has known me all my life. He knows I read books like people use toilet paper and knows I wouldn't just spring some kind of "Amway" sale on him out of the blue. He absolutely SHUT DOWN!....
I mean it was just total "Close Mindedness". It was like as soon as I said "911 did not happen exactly the way we were told it did". It was like a trigger went off and he went into "Ignore everything he has to say" mode. He started smiling and looking at me with this smug look on his face...like "he knew it all." It was one of the most arrogant displays of "self righteousness" I have ever seen. He claimed that I was exposing myself to "deception", which I laughed at because of the obvious irony. He then went on to say that "people are looking for truth"...He was obviously making the accusation in not so many words that people are ignoring the church...and looking else where....
???????
I said to him that "look...its not about religion, Im simply trying to explain to you that the Governments official story does not add up". I had various movies lined up for him to watch..."Road to Tyranny, Plane Site, Loose Change, etc.." and I told him..look "I may not explain in words as clearly, but give me a few hours and Il show you with live footage, interviews, eyewitness accounts that explain quite clearly that we were lied to on September 11th. He asked where it came from...I said, the Internet....and he just exploded...which is natural....many people dont think the internet is credible...I calmy explained to him the footage is documented...news footage...the commentary is the only thing that is not from the news....
HE REFUSED TO WATCH IT.....HE CALLED IT "A COMEPLETE WASTE OF HIS TIME".
You see I suspect that because he feels anything that does not come from inside the "King James Masonic' Bible or the church is "deception". And this is where he makes his mistake.
I was floored by his behavior. I then said to him this...."3000 plus people in The States and 50,000 plus men, women & children have been killed in Iraq". If all of this happened based on a lie, would you not want to know about it, dont you care that there is a possibility that this is true...
HE SAID "I DONT CARE. STUFF LIKE THAT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME".
It was amazing. I was absolutely floored by it. I said to him..."I really wish you would take a look at this documentary, it is quite revealing". At this point he stated that the internet is not "credible" which again I expected that But I simply explained to him....that if this is indeed a conspiracy...the news outlets would be also part of it....He had no answer for that.....He said he trusts the news completely and they would not lie to him....
One of his biggest arguments against the conspiracy angle was that he believes all of this propaganda stuff isn't healthy for him and his "faith in God". fair enough....but heres the kicker....
HE WENT AND SAW FARENHEIT 911!!!!
Hypocrisy at its best...I felt so sorry for him because he is completely wrapped up in his faith and cannot see the forest for the trees. It was very dissappointing to see.
But one thing I must say is that it seemed to me like he was under "Mind Control". Christianity is brainwashing a lot of people and it is a damn shame. The way he was acting it was as if he was under the "influence". This was not the same guy I knew 3 years ago.
