Topic: Ramtha and JZ Knight

Anybody have any personal experience with JZ Knight and the entity she claims to channel, or the entity who claims she is channeling him, Ramtha?

Just read "From Sexual Revolution to God Revolution" and many points piqued my interest....

Re: Ramtha and JZ Knight

Tillibullu, Yes, I have had experience.  I've met her, and in my opinion, she is one hellavan actress.  You need to understand that the bottom line of all these people is money.  I've met a lot of these people and while I feel they are extremely "talented", that's where I draw the line.  One of the only people who I felt was more altruistic was Edgar Cayce as he did much of his work for free.  No I didn't meet him but I did study his works.

Free!  Ha!  That word is not in JZ's vocabulary.  I will agree that much of the information is fascinating, interesting, even inspiring.  You can go to any bookstore or library and find the same info if you care to look.  Better yet - go within.

You might ask if I think she channeled Ramtha?  Perhaps.  What is Ramtha other than what she says it is.  There was a time in my life when I was deeply connected to the spiritual world and I too "channeled".  But I can't tell you with any certainty other than to my own self, who or what I was channeling.  There is no great secret here.  Channeling involves contact with all that is on a very deep level.  Anyone can do this with practice.  Only very very few can make that information public and make a living at it.

Enlightenment happens!  Attachment to the ego-self leads one into delusion; but faith in one's Buddha nature leads one to enlightenment.

Re: Ramtha and JZ Knight

Funny, soon after I read one of her/"their" books, she came to town on a speaking/workshop engagement.  I was getting prepared to go and called to see if there was still space available.  A pre-recorded message at their school of enlightenment stated, amongst other things, that JZKnight does not make private, one-to-one appointments.

That was a big cue for me to decide against going.  I have gone to some pretty sophisticated levels in my development, and if I am going to go all the way out to the suburbs to see someone, I want to feel like I would get a chance to really speak to them one-to-one.  While I can understand a powerful person needing to protect their space and energy, I was suspicious when i heard that she doesn't meet people individually.

The types of questions I have are not going to be answered in big group settings.  That brings things to lowest common denominator.  Not much point.

So I didn't go.  I wanted to go initially to investigate, to see her for myself.  But then I found out the price and the fact that she won't do private meetings and I figured, hell, I'll just read the books.

Re: Ramtha and JZ Knight

As for the money issue, I think it's completely legitimate for people with true insight to ask for money.  We spend money on a lot of bullshit in society, and if someone has some wisdom of TRUE value to share, they deserve money for that valuable commodity.  In fact, I think it is important that such people do not give their wisdom away for free and save it for dedicated apprentices/students or people willing to pay, because otherwise people take it for granted and devalue it.

In order for us to have any chance of shifting this economy to reflect what really matters, and for people who provide things of real value to be able to survive whilst doing this service, then people of wisdom must charge money for their gifts.

The problem comes when it becomes a factory-machine situation.  Then I get really turned off.

Re: Ramtha and JZ Knight

I remembered that there was an article posted here at NR awhile back regarding JZ Knight, her group, and Ramtha.  Started in the most logical place, by doing a search on "What the Bleep Do We Know?" -  sure enough, in that thread I found the article regarding The Cult of Ramtha, called "What the Bleep is Ramtha??!"   big_smile  And it turns out that I was the one who posted it.  Small world!   haha  j/k

Anyway, here it is tillibullu.   I think this will be a good read for you, as it exposes the behind the scenes workings of Ms. JZ:

That's why I was so amazed and impressed that we were able to hear author Robert Bruce ("Practical Psychic Self Defense", "Astral Dynamics", etc.) speak in person, for free, in a small intimate setting of a new age book shop......and that he was there to talk to and connect to the audience, and was fully prepared to answer ALL questions posed to him, and for however many questions came at him.  Then sit around and sign books and talk to people one on-one-afterwards.    The man is so incredible!    Author Richard Bach, of "Illusions" and "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" did the same thing, at the same shop.  I wasn't able to see him unfortunately, since I had to work that night, but Montalk got to go.   He found Mr. Bach to be incredibly nice and personable, very approachable.  Talking to people, answering questions, signing his books.  It's a rarity I guess.   So when one does encounter this, fully appreciate it.   You're witnessing a form of STO in action.

Re: Ramtha and JZ Knight

I took a peek at the article about JZ Knight, but it's a tad long, so just skimmed the beginning and end.  Hm, the bit about Twinkies prolonging life seems a bit far-fetched.  Could be those entities get mischievous with people who look to them for all the answers.

I'm not really interested in hearing what's wrong with the Ramtha stuff, and I'm not going to judge JZ Knight for wanting to keep some time and privacy for herself.  Just because she doesn't work one-to-one, isn't particularly outgoing, and her Ramtha events are pricey,
that doesn't mean her work is without value.  Ramtha is one of the sources I've studied (books) that have resonated with me, long before What The Bleep came on the scene. Here's a quote I like from Ramtha, on judgment:

When you look upon others, see them as an isness, and in what is termed an "evenness."  If they are being cruel and hateful to another, to say they are cruel and hateful is a truth, for that is indeed how they are expressing; that is their experience of isness. To say they are wrong, or bad, or evil
in that expression, is a judgment--which becomes wholly your experience:  alteredness.

People have the option to buy books rather than go to workshops, but if they do choose the workshop, I guess that's what they want, and they apparently can afford it.

Jen -  I don't think anybody's judging anybody here.   And tillibullu was just expressing his / her personal feelings and experiences with JZ and the Ramtha material.  There's nothing wrong with that.....even if it's an opinion that goes against how you feel about JZ and the material.   You resonate with it and can find reasons to explain JZ's actions....that's fine.   Others feel differently however.   I can't really say either way what I happen to feel about her or her channeling.   I haven't read it, nor have I met her.  Things don't sound too promising though when you read the article (in its entirety...not just skimming)  But again, spin can be put onto anything.   Lots of spin has been put on Laura Jadczyk and her C's channeling, and if I hadn't read the C's for myself or seen Laura and her group in action channeling them, I might be inclined to believe the negative press for myself.   So, good thing I was able to see a session for myself and have read the material so I can make up my own mind.

In the end, that's all anybody can do....make up their own mind.   And people are going to come to different conclusions.  Nothing wrong with that.

Re: Ramtha and JZ Knight

Yes, as you say, Lyra, we can put any spin we want on anything or anyone.  Too often we rush to judgment.  I do it, too. Whatever, we are all entitled to our opinions/judgments.

I do recall reading, some years ago, in a Kryon book (a source I respect), a question about JZ and her commercializing of Ramtha.  Kryon's response was that her work was greatly honored on their side, and that her making money from this was a non-issue.  Since then, I've read a lot of criticism of JZ, but Kryon's words stayed with me.

I have more of a problem with Laura as a person, but I do appreciate the C's channeling and have resonated with much of it.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one.  Dig the material, don't dig the source.   oh well.

Re: Ramtha and JZ Knight

It may be that some astral influence has infiltrated the Ramtha channeling,  as also may be true with the C's by now, but that doesn't cancel out the good parts.  "Ramtha" (the White Book) which first came out in '86,  is full of gems such as this:

If you are needing a reason for being, let the reason be the one thing that will be with you throughout eternity--and that is called "love of self." That will last forever. Love for yourself will survive into eternity, while the purpose of being a this or that will be fulfilled in this life, only to be replaced by something else. Do whatever you can that will expand yourself into greater wisdom and more profound love for yourself--and that is doing whatever will make you the greatest that you can be in your own eyes, the most discriminating eyes there are.  You, master, are the purpose of life.

I can't help thinking that the last thing the PTB want is for us to listen to one who would have us actually recognize and utilize our true power,
so there are bound to be those who will do their best to mess with, vilify and ridicule such a source.

Tillibullu,

This reminded me of some information I got from a gathering featuring the entity Emmanuel--and I wasn't even there! Ram Dass is one of his greatest fans, which I think in itself is quite a recommendation.  Here are some of Emmanuel's messages:http://www.emmanuelandfriends.com/channeling.html

Anyway...I had a roommate who was going to a group Emmanuel channeling, and as I had read Emmanuel and felt a kinship, I asked her if she would ask Emmanuel about the purpose of my deafness in this lifetime, and how I could deal with it better.  She did, and Emmanuel's response, which she wrote down,  was amazing.  Here's part of it:  "Dear one, there is music in you, within the silence there is sound, it is your own...how many would want to experience that silence--chosen, not inflicted."  He was very careful to strike a balance between pointing out the pluses while recognizing the minuses.   And, he hinted that my hearing would return at some point, but it was not the time yet.
About six years later I had cochlear implant surgery which did restore a lot of hearing, ehough to satisfy me, anyway.

My point is, sometimes treasures turn up in the most unexpected ways,
and from my own experience, info that comes through group channelings can sometimes be as personally relevant as that from a one-to-one session.  I also experienced this from a group channeling of the Pleiadians thru Marciniak (which I attended in person) after Bringers pf the Dawn first came out.

Re: Ramtha and JZ Knight

Jane Roberts looked weird too when she was channeling Seth...you were aware she was channeling Ramtha in those scenes, right? I wasn't at first...
