I think we pick our sign combinations because they serve as a toolbox for whatever our mission is when we're here.   The signs give us challenges to work on, and strengths to pull out when we're backed into a corner in life.

Scorpio, Scorpio, Scorpio...Must be why I like the color black. I am constantly struggling with a dampened spirit; at the same time, I can imagine having a brighter outlook, but it generally escapes me. Maybe all those Scorpions stung each other.

Cancer rising Sagittarius, definitely becoming more and more Sagitarrius in the past 6 months. Overall, my astral chart is composed of 5 air signs, 4 water signs (including sun and moon), 2 fire signs and 0 earth signs (which is why I spend so much time grounding myself!)

I have to admit that the nearest I have ever got to astrology were the "stars" at back of a tabloid newspaper :-D

Suns and moons, rising, quadruples, fire and earth I am sure has meaning - but that meaning is beyond me at the moment.

Every online astrology calculator that I have tried spewed out contradictory database driven answers in its attempt to give me the feeling that it was a personalised report!

How do I find out my risings and ascendings and all manner of astrological insights?

Educate me please somebody :-D

Or better still, I will gladly supply the raw data in a PM, if someone who partially/fully knows their Astrospeak would be prepared to have a quick go at it for me and then educate me about the method of analysis afterwards!

I will take a look at it for you as long as you understand I've just recently taught myself to read charts, though I think I have a pretty good grip on it... Scorps are supposed to have an aptitude for Astrology.;) 

As trying to read a chart and all of the aspects is dizzying (until education sets in) for an astrology newbie if you'd like a little more guidance in interpreting your chart I would actually like the opportunity to do so because I don't know you, and I'd like to see how that would turn out.  It's gotta be a lot easier to make the pieces fit (apply the aspects) if you know the person.  For my not knowing the person then the interpretation, seems to me, would be like developing a picture of a person's metaphysical blueprint.  I would use the link Ms. B offered above to begin, it gave me my chart just as had Astrologers in past readings, it's a good site.

Christine, Auendove, I've been told I was born at 11AM, but I'm annoyed that my mother doesn't have the information down to the minutes.

How much does that effect the reading?

I did the astro.com reading, but I'm confused as hell, so I'll spend some more time on it.

Hmm. What I was getting confused about was why certain things were bold while others are not. Is it common to just state the sun sign, rising, and moon?

Then I'm Cancer (sun), Virgo (Rising), and Gemini (Moon)

I'm Cancer in Mercury and Venus also which I found interesting, even though I'm a dim-wit to what really any of it means.

Also I find it interesting that it says my "11th house" is Cancer.

But ah well, maybe you guys can make some sense of it to me. Or my head is going to blow up. I think Astrology is really important, so I should of learned this a long time ago in this detail. I thought it was as simple as saying just one word.

Any comments on what it says from the above, or if you think I'm misreading it, would be appreciated. Grazie.
