The Sociopath Next Door

Hey everyone.  I just got done reading a really interesting book called "The Sociopath Next Door".  It was written by Harvard PhD Martha Stout, and states that one in 25 people are born without a conscience.  In describing the characteristics of a sociopath, she mentioned mirroring human emotions and reactions, the inability to feel remorse and a large portion of typical human emotions, and the biggest tip off that someone is a sociopath:  the plea for pity.

I was reminded of the organic portals discussion and thought many of you posters would find this book really interesting. 

It's a super fast read:  Stout does a great job of making the book friendly for those of us unfamiliar with psychological jargon.  She also gives instructions on how to protect oneself against these people.  In fact, she touches on some aspects of spirituality as well, which reaffirmed my belief that in many ways we are in the midst of a spiritual war (my conclusion-not hers).
