Topic: Eternal Challenge

We are living in a rapidly expanding moment of consciousness. Life, for us, is unfolding before our very eyes in a way that it has never unfolded before. We are part of a vast dynamic that will culminate in a cataclysm of unimaginable proportions. Whether we wish to be players is up to each individual but now is certainly the time to choose because, who knows, tomorrow may be too late. Nobody can begin to prepare until they have made an actual decision. Sitting on the fence becomes an ever-increasingly dangerous place to be.

   Who can see where they will be beyond 12/12 with any confidence? It is going to take every minute of the next seven years to prepare for what is to come.

   There are two choices open to us. They can be depicted in the following ways:

          Freedom                            verses      Manipulation
          Love                                  verses      Terror
          Spiritual Transformation      verses      Physical Reincarnation
          Human Reality                    verses      Predator Reality
          Eternal Life                         verses      Recurring Death

   Which side do you wish to be on? If the prospect of taking yet another turn on the Wheel does not daunt you then choose the Right and relax. Simply carry on as you are because these things will take care of themselves. I mean, haven't they always?

   Should you choose the left then I'm affraid you have a lot of work to do. Seven years will hardly seem like enough time and it may not be if you don't give it a 100% effort. But don't despair; rejoice, for this fabulous opportunity only comes around once in many, many life-times and here it is now looking at you right in the eye.

   Are you up to it?

Yes, I am up to it.

I'm reminded of Castaneda.  Don Juan Matus listed one of the features of a true stalker as one who "compresses time."

The idea of compressing time has become huge for me lately--especially in regard to spiritual growth.  One way I compress time is by regularly taking inventories of my fears and desires.  It is not a perfect practice, but I do it.  It helps focus my spiritual path because I do not waste time just wondering what to do next...When I know what I want, I always have a next step...

Also, I have adopted this practice: I do what I can do today.  If there is a goal I realize I cannot realize in one day's time, then I either break it up into smaller goals, or I simply re-focus on what I can do TODAY. 

I also like one of montalk's mantras: Do the impossible.

My addition to this post is the question, What can be done TODAY in service of your spiritual evolution?

I'll share my private answer: ...Today, I can stop wasting energy by judging my friend Mark by walking over to him right now (he's at work with me now) and expressing some feature of his personality that I am grateful for.  (...What I'm grateful for is his relentless criticism of me, because it keeps my ego in check!)

I'm ready..... and I do this by constantly reminding myself to stay in the here and now.  Not living in the here and now is a form of denial.  It's easy to live in the past or future because then you have no responsibility for the present.

I try to look forward and be hopeful, look backward and be thankful, look downward and be helpful, look upward and be humble..... that's a quote I heard somewhere and its one I try to repeat to myself.

Enlightenment happens!  Attachment to the ego-self leads one into delusion; but faith in one's Buddha nature leads one to enlightenment.

Jazzpen, id like to ask a question relating to your words and what u say about the Mayans and how they see our predicament:

Do u believe that transformation up into another realm is the only way to find peace? you hint that the earth will be gone, that it will be useless(for us?) or something of that nature (which i think many of us can agree to some degree, that yes, something big is about to happen to the earth)

But, i guess what im asking is if you believe there is any hope of fixing this earth?

Do u think 3D life is always like this? all torn apart and conflicted? or are there worlds out there where people live in physical "3d" in peace?

do the mayans have any insights of this? i mean, do they believe that earth was once a "paradise" of some sort? do they believe we've been under STS manipulation forever?

im sorry, that does seem to be quite a few questions, but they are pretty much the same.

and i dont mean to sound doubtful or against what you say, on the contrare- i do feel your words as coming from deep within.

Many of us interprete the "truth" differently but the spiritual truth seekers on NR all have the same aims. I too get the feeling something is going to happen where at some point those who are following the illusion will be in for a big shock and a grand awakening for those with the heart to embrace.

I don't know about seven years some can awaken to truth in a moment others may take a lifetime.
I agree with sheesh just be the divine being we are and buy out of the illusion/matrix. IMO there are 2 polarites love and fear, fear is terror, hate, jealousy etc etc.

Let your higher self be your guide.

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.

Barefoot Doc, I agree with you that we each interpret the "truth" differently and that the majority on NR seem to have the same aim.  May I please add that the will to liberation from this life of slavery and bondage cannot be born until we are weary of it.  Thus, entreating others to follow some other way(as our friend Jasspen would suggest) usually falls on deaf ears.  We are who and what we are because of our mechanical reactions and judgments of the world, all our notions of superiority or inferiority, all our self seeking goals pursued at the expense of others are part of the chains that bind us to the human consciousness and stand between the egoic I and the true self.  While Jazzpens intentions may be good, .......

I've had to learn on my own that rescuing others can deprive them of their lessons and the opportunity of taking responsibility for their own life.  Jazzpen seems to desperately want us to take heed to something, but even he seems to be at a loss to explain exactly what that is.  Like many who have found some personal truth, perhaps he is simply trying to share that with us in some way that he feels will have an impact. 

Many seem desperate to try and save the world from a future catastrophy - but I think that what we really need saving from is our own self.  The greatest limitation of the human state of consciousness is its failure to recognize its true origin and being.  We have been duped through illusion and self-hypnosis into believing that we are our thoughts, rather than soul expressing thought and intelligence through the mind.  We have been hoodwinked that we are our emotions and feelings, rather than knowing we are soul using the emotional body to experience feelings. We have accepted we are a gender, a level of education, a profession, and a size and a color, rather than we are soul. 

But I'm once again preaching to the choir..... Please excuse my ranting.
