I think of the date as a marker - give or take a few years. I think that the future is open.
It it possible that people are tuning into that date in an intuitive way. Such intuitive tracking may be more significant than an exact physical alignment.
I think that energy may be transmitted from the center of the galaxy through the sun and then to the earth. This energy is instreaming now and affecting life on this planet. Sometimes this is described as a shift from 3rd density to 4th density that is occuring. All of the densities are here, but the issue is which density serves as the focal point for awareness. At different levels of perception, the actual rules of the universe may seem to change.
We may be entering a density which is characterized by telepathy, variable physicality, time as a fluid field rather than a linear state, and a greater connection with the oneness.
A question is whether the positive or negative polarity will be primary as we enter 4th density. I think that this partially depends upon the nature of the consciousness that is here and humans are some of the significant players on this planet.
For those people who intend a shift into a positive polarity, the task may be to anchor the incoming frequencies with a sense of love, compassion, and awareness. Negative tendencies exist here as well. They may be characterized by fear and a sense of doom.
Reptilians and their upper density masters may be another set of significant players. As they are already familiar with 4th density and possibly other higher densities, they may seem to have a significant advantage. A wide range of beings outside the Earth may be watching the planet and providing catalytic assistance.
If Gaia herself is ready for the transition, then who or what will be able to stop her?
As far as the nature of the shift goes, I lean towards the view that at the culmination point, there may be a phase shift, such as from water to steam. Personally, I think that this is more likely than a gradual shift that takes decades. I have talked about this with David Wilcock, and he described the culmination point as a clear transition, like moving through a definite barrier.
I think that 4th density perception does exist now, but for most of the planet the focus remains at 3rd density. This may be changing with each day, month, and year that passes. We may be living in a period of exponential change. If the consciousness of the planet rises to a sufficient level, then the "tipping point" of the transition could come before December 2012.
