Topic: Sleep Paralysis

Anyone heard of sleep paralysis?  There is speculation that many who claim they've been abducted, simply have this sleep disorder.  Here's a link to an article:

My son, age 23,  has experienced this with some regularity lately. He experiences all the symptoms of terror, etc.,  and he says that his bed shakes when it's happening.  He says it really feels like there is some kind of outside force doing this.

I suggested he do a ritual surrounding himself with some kind of protection before he sleeps, but he says it's no big deal and that if he's having this experience he wants to see it through.

I wonder if this could be an astral influence...

Re: Sleep Paralysis

Okay, I'll be the bad guy and recommend doing a search of this subject in this forum.  There's plenty of stuff.

Re: Sleep Paralysis

Yes........just use the "Search" function in the top left side of the page.  Type in "sleep paralysis" or whatever, and hit enter.   Or simply take the time to go through the topics in each section, familiarize yourself with the forum and the material that's being talked about here, what's being covered and what's not.

Re: Sleep Paralysis

I did a search, it only took me back here.
And I have looked through the forum, haven't found anything
on this subject.  Could you be a doll and summarize what
you know about this? I'd really appreciate it.

Re: Sleep Paralysis

Jen ... type in sleep paralysis and you'll see your post as the first topic (thread).  Three or four threads down, you'll see another thread ... called: SLEEP PARALYSIS by Chris. It has 19 responses.  All the other threads on the page that comes up searching sleep paralysis has something about the subject.

Doubtful you'll be many answers to your question other than ... search and read.  Once that's been done, you may well have NEW things to ask or question.  I'm sure you'll get responses at that time.

There is so much information here, I know it can be daunting ... but it's actually quite fun to take some time and just read through as much as possible ...

Warm regards,
Christine B.

Re: Sleep Paralysis

thanks, Wandering1, that was very helpful.  The search function is not working from where I sit.  I also quite often encounter long blocks of missing posts when I am reading through threads, seems there's still a few bugs in this system, but I am very much enjoying the forum.

Thanks again,
Jen
