Topic: A Picture of Clarity

We are all seeking clarity. We attempt to think our way through to clarity which is actually impossible. The Masterpiece that is Truth is of such magnitude, depth, brilliance, magnificence that to glimpse even a small portion of it leaves a permanent impression upon one's inner being.

Truth, the one Reality, has been painted over many times but that doesn't mean that it no longer exists. That doesn't mean that we should give up on it. It doesn't mean that it is forever lost to us.

It actually belongs to us humans and to no-one else.

Reality for human kind.

If you want clarity then picture what that truly means. Erase from your mind all the brush-overs, clean away all the dross and the scum of eons, sweep away the webs of deceit and the dust of lies and only then cast your inner eye over the landscape of Truth as it penetrates to your very soul. Then you will have clarity.

I add and suggest also: (for me and for all)

And learn how to co-exist with those who aren ´t like you.

That is the hardest one.

Re: A Picture of Clarity

I remember once when I was "outside the body", how absolutely clear things seemed to me.  I thought it was because there were no limitations from the body.  No physical eye to see through and distort my perception.  No physical emotions and thoughts to clog my feeling and thinking.  I thought I was being shown perfection so that I would know it exists.

Enlightenment happens!  Attachment to the ego-self leads one into delusion; but faith in one's Buddha nature leads one to enlightenment.

Jazzpen,

very kind and warming words, great advice as well.

i can relate to what your saying- finding the ultimate truth is not going to happen anytime soon, if ever, thus hunting it down with all your energy is not the point.

if u want clarity, clear out your mind, body, and soul.

ive had slight moments or glimpses into blissful places, visions, and whatnot- some of them artificially induced, others in dream states, and others just daydreaming thoughts.

Truth, to me, is about being true to yourself, being true to your kind: aka the "Human Race".
