Holy shit!! That's what I'm talking about!
But don't judge a book by its cover. Right????
I was brought up by a Unitarian father and CofE mother. My father reckoned that we are all sons and daughters of God and that Jesus was no more or less the son of God than we are. My dad sent his kids to Catholic convent grammar schools though, as he reckoned they had the best education.
I suppose academically they did. If you don't mind being hit with the cane or ruler if you get your spelling wrong when you're six years of age. And if you don't mind being force-fed about the horrors and vile corruptive nature of men and sexuality until you're a scared, frigid female like the nuns - or in reaction against all that brainwashing, run riot having sex with every male you can get your (naughty, sinful) little hands on when you can get the chance, the moment you leave the heavenly gates at 18 years of age.
For my sins(!) I was technically a pagan until 29 years of age because my father didn't agree with baptism. He couldn't see why an innocent baby or child would go to hell just because it hadn't had a splash of water over its head by some whisky drinking, whore bedding hypocrite that hid his sins behind his cassock. ![]()
Now, I'm technically a catholic (aaghhhh) since I decided to get christened so I could get married to my (first) husband in his mother's catholic church. Actually the priest there was quite cool, but the christening ceremony was a bit scary. It sounded to me like an exorcism. I don't know if it did me any good though, I still feel guilty when I masturbate - hehee ![]()
But I think the pope at the time - probably old Ratzinger - would have me excommunicated quick-smart if he knew I'd decided to take my own first holy communion one day in a Unity Church in Brisbane, without any official catholic ceremony. I just rocked up when the priest invited "all who wish can now come for communion". God didn't seem to mind, I'm still here aren't I?! ![]()
But my being a catholic is only as deep as my original intent to marry my first husband. It was born from an ego-crisis that needed the reassurance of having a nice husband to feel I was doing the right thing.
Now, 15 years on, I'm married to my true love (who I'd just split up from before I married No. 1) - I've pretty much renounced all organized religions (except the christian spiritual church down the road - where I go and do healing before the service occasionally - its first rule is that everyone operates from free will) - as being too controlling for the people's own good. And try and follow the Truth that runs through their teachings instead.
I wonder if Ratzinger is going to excommunicate me now? In God's name, I sure hope so.
(In fact, Ratzinger'd probably be better off if he excommunicated himself before the Csomic s**t hits the fan!)

Yeah, maybe the Emperor wasn't so bad after all.
"When Ratzinger turned 14 in 1941, he formally enrolled in the Hitler Youth, membership in which was legally required from 1938 until the end of the Third Reich in 1945. According to National Catholic Reporter correspondent and biographer John Allen, Ratzinger was an unenthusiastic member who refused to attend meetings. Ratzinger has mentioned that a Nazi mathematics professor arranged reduced tuition payments for him at seminary. This normally required documentation of attendance at Hitler Youth activities -- however, according to Ratzinger, his professor arranged that the young seminary student did not need to attend those gatherings to receive a scholarship."

(German) "Rattenfänger von Hameln"
(Rat catcher or to us the Piedpiper of Hamelin)
I've not met the man yet, but on TV .....
the man looks, acts and sounds like a RAT.
Hamelin, the German city where around 1250 A.C. little children were abducted with the help of the "Rat-catcher/singer" in a cave and beneath the ground to be sacrified for the demons.
No better name could be found for this Papal creation.
"Ratzi" just said this week he prayed to God Himself not to be elected as the New Pope.
But Ratzi acknowledged .... God didn't listen to him .....
What does this mean ?
Or what subtile message is sent with this ......?

just heard about this one today too, it is very wierd to say the least. he also told his audience that during the vote casting, someone passed him a note that said on it to remember what he (ratsinger) had preached about christ telling peter to follow him even where peter did not want to go...
defenitely some hidden messages here, but what? are they trying to make us sympathize with this old ratsinger? are they trying to reinforce the "faith" and "obeying what gods says, no matter what" ??
oh, and damn that double-take photo with ratsinger is picture-perfect

err- i posted twice for some reason i think i quoted myself instead of editing. montalk may delete the above double post of mine.
what goes around comes around, ratzinger was responsible for much of the church restrictive policies in the past decades, now he has to be really responsible for them. it'll be his hell of a job.
woah, did i say that??

My mistake, Wandering1 said it.
As people get older, their faces increasingly reveal what's been going on inside. Ratzinger is not a noble soul no matter how you look at him. First time I saw his picture, I thought there was something wormy about him, also reminded me of that fat sicko character in Dune. Others picked out his similarity to the Emperor which I think is the best comparison of all.

Sounds like it to me. If he got elected Pope even though he prayed to God not to let it be so, then that says 1) he's a humble man who does not seek power, 2) he's a pious man because he prays, and 3) his election was ordained by God and thus a destined part of the Divine Plan. The truth is probably opposite, and if so this guy probably eats babies for breakfast. (only half-kidding here...wonder what David Icke has to say about Ratzinger).
just how far back do you step to take a look at what is happening around you? how stoned do you have to get? how much pornographic crap can you get attached to your harddrive ? when is the global id chip getting stuck into you with or with out your permission? i think you all get the drift of this thread, jump in and add what you will....ratzinger back in 1945 was conscripted 'drafted' to dig tank trenches for two months and returned home to find three weeks later he had been drafted into the army he lasted five months til he deserted and was captured by the usa and held prisoner of war for 6 weeks and then was released only to go strait home and enroll in seminary and within 6 years he got a priesthood and a masters in theology...hello is anyone seeing the possibilities for conspiracy and a fifty year sleeper awakening now!
through new testament revelations i find the anti-christ's time should be at hand and there are three"holy trinity?" to watch intently...pope benedict xvi, president g.w.bush, and prince charles of wales, who imho owns all the biblical signs described in revelations...just look at the coat of arms for prince charles and camilla- june 2005 will reveal much how much more planetary realignment of powers,[election of new politicos to follow nwo]war with iran/russia

Hi all,
Headline: Pope 'obstructed' sex abuse inquiry
Surprise surprise?
Oh Ratz ...inger.
So many control issues under those Benedictine black robes. So interesting that he headed up the body that in centuries previous, supervised the Inquisition. Methinks this brother has come back to help finish what he started!.
One good thing is it might assist more to question and perhaps wake up.

Pope 'obstructed' sex abuse inquiry
Confidential letter reveals Ratzinger ordered bishops to keep allegations secret
Jamie Doward, religious affairs correspondent
Sunday April 24, 2005
The ObserverPope Benedict XVI faced claims last night he had 'obstructed justice' after it emerged he issued an order ensuring the church's investigations into child sex abuse claims be carried out in secret.
The order was made in a confidential letter, obtained by The Observer, which was sent to every Catholic bishop in May 2001.
It asserted the church's right to hold its inquiries behind closed doors and keep the evidence confidential for up to 10 years after the victims reached adulthood. The letter was signed by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who was elected as John Paul II's successor last week.
Lawyers acting for abuse victims claim it was designed to prevent the allegations from becoming public knowledge or being investigated by the police. They accuse Ratzinger of committing a 'clear obstruction of justice'.
The letter, 'concerning very grave sins', was sent from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the Vatican office that once presided over the Inquisition and was overseen by Ratzinger.
It spells out to bishops the church's position on a number of matters ranging from celebrating the eucharist with a non-Catholic to sexual abuse by a cleric 'with a minor below the age of 18 years'. Ratzinger's letter states that the church can claim jurisdiction in cases where abuse has been 'perpetrated with a minor by a cleric'.
The letter states that the church's jurisdiction 'begins to run from the day when the minor has completed the 18th year of age' and lasts for 10 years.
It orders that 'preliminary investigations' into any claims of abuse should be sent to Ratzinger's office, which has the option of referring them back to private tribunals in which the 'functions of judge, promoter of justice, notary and legal representative can validly be performed for these cases only by priests'.
'Cases of this kind are subject to the pontifical secret,' Ratzinger's letter concludes. Breaching the pontifical secret at any time while the 10-year jurisdiction order is operating carries penalties, including the threat of excommunication.
The letter is referred to in documents relating to a lawsuit filed earlier this year against a church in Texas and Ratzinger on behalf of two alleged abuse victims. By sending the letter, lawyers acting for the alleged victims claim the cardinal conspired to obstruct justice.
Daniel Shea, the lawyer for the two alleged victims who discovered the letter, said: 'It speaks for itself. You have to ask: why do you not start the clock ticking until the kid turns 18? It's an obstruction of justice.'
Father John Beal, professor of canon law at the Catholic University of America, gave an oral deposition under oath on 8 April last year in which he admitted to Shea that the letter extended the church's jurisdiction and control over sexual assault crimes.
The Ratzinger letter was co-signed by Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone who gave an interview two years ago in which he hinted at the church's opposition to allowing outside agencies to investigate abuse claims.
'In my opinion, the demand that a bishop be obligated to contact the police in order to denounce a priest who has admitted the offence of paedophilia is unfounded,' Bertone said.
Shea criticised the order that abuse allegations should be investigated only in secret tribunals. 'They are imposing procedures and secrecy on these cases. If law enforcement agencies find out about the case, they can deal with it. But you can't investigate a case if you never find out about it. If you can manage to keep it secret for 18 years plus 10 the priest will get away with it,' Shea added.
A spokeswoman in the Vatican press office declined to comment when told about the contents of the letter. 'This is not a public document, so we would not talk about it,' she said.

My ego's blood boils. My Higher Self senses, like you that:
One good thing is it might assist more to question and perhaps wake up.
We live in mad and chaotic times. But chaos is part of the cycle of creativity:
Dictionary definition of chaos:
1. A condition or place of great disorder or confusion.
2. A disorderly mass; a jumble: The desk was a chaos of papers and unopened letters.
3. often Chaos. The disordered state of unformed matter and infinite space supposed in some cosmogonic views to have existed before the ordered universe.
4. Mathematics. A dynamical system that has a sensitive dependence on its initial conditions.
5. Obsolete. An abyss; a chasm.
One lives with ego's hope and Spirit's knowing.
