Like Racsouran said, hearing is the first and more important step. The second step is understanding. If you read something but don't understand it, then you may disagree with someone who did understand it because both of you will be coming from different levels of perception despite thinking you're on the same page. And even if you understand, there should also be some level of personal experience involved otherwise you have no personal reference to even vaguely validate what's being discussed. So with all these pre-requisites for agreement, it's no surprise that people have differences of belief. Obviously what they believe in the moment is what's right for them, which as Bumblebee said is fine if it helps them better handle challenges.

The idea of C's being "us in the future" is only plausible if you are comfortable with the idea of reincarnation and an eternal soul, then to me it logically follows that if we keep growing in life after life, gaining greater wisdom, intelligence, and spiritual abilities, there will come an eventual point where one can not only communicate with others in space, but others in time as well. So if you continue to evolve, it will be inevitable that your "future" self would have the ability to communicate with you in the "present" as long as both sides of the conduit of communication are willing to participate and properly tuned into each other.
Brad wrote:the future doesn't exist only a continous "now" atleast thats what i believe
Right, that's why the "future" self is more correctly termed the "higher" self. It would be the higher part of your being with you as the more limited part, with the totality of your being straddling the eternal present which to our limited minds would stretch from "past" to "future" simultaneously.
So take it one step further -- if your "higher" self can commune with other "higher" selves in a mutually harmonious group, then there you have a group of "us in the future" willing to communicate with those of "us in the present" who are seeking to establish contact and are properly tuned in.
The tuning difficulty is why special methods are used to receive such communications, wherever they may originate. Even if they originate as figments of the subconscious, it is well known in mainstream science (psychology) that the conscious mind has difficulty receiving messages from the subconscious and so special states like dreams, intuitive receptivity, pendulum dowsing, ouija board, automatic writing, psychomantium, hypnosis, and trances are need to bridge that barrier between 3D mind and subconscious mind.
The Higher Self (so-called personal channel) or the C's (so-called group channel) are both said to utilize the individual's subconscious as the necessary gateway through which messages are sent, so the conscious mind will have just as much difficulty receiving messages from them as from the subconscious, and that's why some have resorted to Ouija boards. Other methods like trance channeling may also work, but are more susceptible to corruption unless great care is taken (see for example what was involved in receiving the Law of One / Ra Material messsages). But you could also just take a walk in the park and ponder the mysteries of the universe, receiving such messages in the form of intuitive concepts and inspirations that most of the time you may think are your own.
