The Matrix of the Matrix

I agree. People who've broken out of their own personal "matrix", whatever that may be, need to take care in not creating a new one by accident. These matrices are belief systems. That's all they are. They give us a reference point but they also anchor us in a solid reality. Solid reality = confining reality = self-made prison. This creates expectations of "what should be" rather than leaving us open to "what is."

I think it's best just to take things every day as they come to you in a way that feels natural. Be curious about the world and explore reality every day as if it's completely new to you. Don't become entrenched in habit and routine. Habit and routine form mental security. And where do you find security? That's right, prisons. As you build up your mental security, your comfort zone, more and more, you build your prison walls thicker and taller.

In essence the Matrix is simply a spiritual feedback mechanism between mind and environment. Mind influences environment, environment provides feedback and choices for the mind. But throw in the factor of freewill and there you have the choice to subvert the freewill of others by either imposing control upon their environment or manipulating their minds. Humans do it to animals...we can train dogs to not stray from the yard, or we can put up a fence -- condition their minds or control their environment. Is it so hard to believe that more sophisticated beings may try to condition our minds or influence our environment in order to keep us in their yard?

Of course it is our fault for falling for it, and our responsibility to work with what part of the feedback loop we have control over. But because freewill belongs to both self and other, I see the negative side of the Matrix as being not only the mind building its own prison, but the mind consenting to its own imprisonment by others.

By itself, the Matrix is neither positive nor negative -- only the participants, through consensual engagement in a certain chosen dynamic make it one way or the other. If the world were populated by beings who have collectively chosen the path of freedom, service, love, and awareness then the Matrix would be the "cornucopia of the gods" or the "horn of plenty."

But as it stands, our world is a melting pot of beings with different destinies or agendas, and what we experience as individuals depends on our beliefs, choices, and actions. So I agree with Racsouran on the crucial role our beliefs play, or rather how important our awareness is in all of this.

As for escaping the Matrix, everything outside the one infinite Creator is illusion as David Icke talks about in "Tales from the Time Loop" -- but for those within the illusion, their illusion is reality. So progress would consist of transcending level after level, each "reality" becoming illusion once its purpose has been served for the evolving individual. To say "what's the point of transcending the Matrix if the next level 'up' is just another part of the Matrix" is like saying "what's the point of completing this lap if I only gotta run another lap in this ongoing marathon?"

Fact is, we are where we are and who we are -- what are we going to do about it? I guess whatever comes naturally, because that would be most in line with the momentum of our being. And different beings will have different directions of momentum, and what may be natural for one is not necessarily natural for the other. So I agree entirely with Seeker and Haven's reply to your post.

For me, there isn´t "up and down". Why?, there´s no standard point of reference gived to us to tell the difference, so i suggest look closely to universe, to physicality, to mind.

This ensures that all authority is created by intelligent beings for a purpose of control.

Being aware of that standard of "not standard of up & down", makes u be pairs with all u can see or sense, being more or less intelligent, because intelligence, spirituality, and evolution, are only irrelevant steps of te chaotic order of infinity.

Maybe i can´t explain it well, "be pair", is look without sense of superiority or inferiority; that explanation is much more better.
