Topic: V for Vendetta
There is this new film now that has started shooting recently. It is what Wachovskies
are lining up next: 'V for Vendetta'. It is based on Alan Moore's creation and with
visual inspiration from the artwork of David LLoyd.
But what is important is the intent of W-bros: to once again spread subversive seeds
as broadly as possible through something that will see broad distribution. They know
that something is advancing while we are receding. And they know that democracy is a fragile gift and is not to be watched from the observers’ seats. If everyone add a little firm intent, if by nothing else but just to be aware, and/or to make others aware, then ‘they’ will have harder time to force us into docile, selfish submission.
The message of their film is: “It is not that people should fear their governments but the governments should be afraid of its people.” It is about someone who evolved from political apathy to something else. About tyranny secret concentration camps... And It is what the bros do in their own way to add to the resistance, and the V will be scratched on walls later meaning something more inflammatory than a fashion. My sister Jo goes and sings these songs and tells the audience that this one song is about the horrible things that happen now in the united states and people just giggle thinking all you do falls into the “cutsie” category, but it doesn’t matter, you can do things without insisting or being hysterical and it is already something. I don’t know what you do about it but I know it is beautiful.
