Topic: Tooth regrowth?

I believe the modern science take on this notion is that it's rubbish.  It would seem though, that if the body can take calcium out of the teeth (due to a possible lack of calcium intake), then it would somehow be able to put it back in, if needed, which in turn could possibly lead to (partial?) regrowth.  Furthermore, if this process were indeed possible, it would most certainly be stunted by silver and ceramic fillings.

Anybody have any further facts or anecdotes?

This doesn't relate directly to your post, but I've learned that tooth demineralization is pretty common -- for many people, teeth start looking increasingly transparent and become brittle as the years go by. Vegetarians and those who drink lots of fruit juice are at higher risk of tooth demineralization. From what I read on the subject, re-mineralization happens from the outside in, via the saliva impregnating colloidal minerals back into the tooth. I think body pH balance has a lot to do with this process, since high pH levels are known to cause bone spurs which are calcium/bone accumulations in odd places like the footbones...so logic says a more moderately balanced pH would increase calcium deposition in needed areas. I'm not sure about tooth regrowth, but remineralization can be done. Nevertheless, some people do grow third sets of teeth...it's biologically possible but may require proper genetics or activation of dormant genes.

Re: Tooth regrowth?

I have wondered about this too. I have wondered about "repairing" cavities too by a natural means. I think part of the answer is diet (duh) but not only in the nutritional value.

Weight training is shown to help bone density...my thought, if all you eat is "soft food" cooked veggies, breads, noodles, and alot of junk food, you're not applying a lot external stress to the teeth, hence they demineralize. Eat your root veggies and hard veggies, fruits, even meats apply stress to the teeth....

Example - not the coolest one but an example- take a peanut butter sandwhich, how much effort needed versus, whole peanuts and rice, or almonds and rice...both are nuts and grain.

Just some thoughts.

Peace,
Teddy

Dr S R Phatak in his book "Repertory & Materia Medica of the Biochemic Remedies" offers the following tissue salts for deficient  enamel: Silica, Calcarea Fluor and Calcarea Phos.
I have no idea whether this would work or not but i have some success with the biochemic remedies for other ailments.

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.
