Topic: What's on your computer desk?

I thought it might be fun to tell each other what we have on our computer desks... kind of like a way to get to know each other better?

I have:

All the normal 'puter stuff... printer, speakers, blank discs, obviously a monitor big_smile .

A telephone and caller ID box... love that caller ID box.

A stack of notepads with a lovely card sent from a friend, it has a bowl of pink roses on the front.

My checkbook and bills sad .

A losing FL lottery ticket from last Wed. I haven't thrown away yet, and a winning scratch off ticket for a free ticket... from the state of MO. My man-critter's mom sent him the ticket in an Easter card. Heeheehee... we had a good laugh about going all the way to MO to get the free ticket. Silly, we're easily entertained.

Two dictionaries, a thesaurus, two phone books, one PrintMaster program I've had for five years and never learned how to use roll , and a men's Nike shoe box with all the stuff that would be kept in a desk drawer, if my desk were to have a drawer instead of just shelves.

Four books--

"Dancing the Dream" by Jamie Sams, on loan to me by another NR buddy (Hmmmm... I wonder, does she want it back? smile )

"Healing Mantras" by Thomas Ashley-Farrand

"The New A to Z Horoscope Maker and Delineator" by Llewellyn George.

"Women Who Run With the Wolves" by Clarissa Pickola Estes.

AHA! And I finally found the CD coverslip for Live's "throwing copper", it was inbetween two of the books... lol I wondered where that thing got off to.

Ahem... this points to how long it's been since I've looked at any of these books roll .

Some packets of flower and herb seeds... really should get those planted.

A small candle a friend and I made probably eight years ago. We poured green wax into seashells and called them "money candles". I had never lit it until about two months ago, and not to evoke money, just to put it to use. I realized/learned not long after making them that green candles don't create money... funny to think how much I've grown the past eight years. Personal creation begins internally, not externally.

The ever present AM cup of coffee, Hazelnut this morning.

Happily I can report there's not too too much dust... well, except maybe on the checkbook and bills big_smile .

But my most prized desk ornament?

One of those Yo Quiero Taco Bell Chihuahua stuffed dogs they were using as a promotion years ago (had to use the dictionary to spell Chihuahua correctly). It has a sign in it's mouth that says "free tacos" and, heeheehee, when I squeeze it it says,

"Here lizard, lizard, lizard".

ROTFLMAO!

What about you guys? Whatcha got goin' on there? big_smile

Re: What's on your computer desk?

Lottery tickets!  Forgot to check mine.

My desk at home isn't big enough to have anything on it except the equipment.  At work I have a Glade puffer air freshener and a snow globe with photos of my dogs in it on top of my monitor.  My desk is huge, so I have room for two big stacks of crap that I need to go through and file or whatever.  I have a credenza behind me with a small fan, a calculator, coffee cup, kleenex, and file trays.  On the wall to my right there's a world map, and two people have put stick pins to mark their homelands......Brazil and Lebanon.  There should be a couple on Mexico and the rest of us on the US.  On the wall in front of me is a scenic calendar and a copy of A Prayer for the Stressed.  On the wall to the left are a bunch of certificates of completion for various work related study and poems by net friends.  Behind me is a colorful Mexican beer poster featuring an iguana surfing.  I also have a side chair and coat rack and a tall file cabinet.

Now stop playing with your chihuahua and balance that check book!

Re: What's on your computer desk?

Check my tickets.  Surprise, Surprise!  I didn't win.

Re: What's on your computer desk?

Hey Soloflecks, I've got a world map to my right too!  More dust than I'd like to admit on the desk and computer monitor top, and a bunch of old pencils/pens in a homemade holder.  All the erasers down to the butt and tips in need of sharpening, mostly red pens left -all the black ones get used up first.

Auendove, I'm just re-reading this right now!  Great book isn't it.

Also on my desk are some crystal clusters, usual pens, computer stuff.  On top of the monitor is a large card with all that I love and would love in my life - my 'treasure map'.

On the wall by my desk are some photos of my mum, sister and a framed b&w photo of Paramahansa Yogananda.  I'm not a devotee, but I love this guy - and have read a few of his books.

Also on the wall is the channelled info on Gratitude channelled by Merlin (that I shared somewhere on this forum at http://noblerealms.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1219 ).

I've also got a book "Dog Obedience Traning" by Ross Allan for our large and beautiful 7-month old labrador/german shepherd cross.

Next to my desk is a book case that has my other crystals, tarot cards, bach flowers, spiritual books etc on.

Cheers Auendove

Re: What's on your computer desk?

Well, since the last time I commented here I had to take everything off the top of my desk except the computer equipment and the phone. I think I like it much better this way with nothing much to get cluttered up... well, with an exception for the Chihuahua of course, he's coming back for sure big_smile .

Hmmm... I wonder how long it'll take to get stuff stacked up again wink .
